Introductie
De XTRAKT (fig.1) is een decentrale ventilatieunit ontworpen om luchtafvoer
te garanderen in kleine/middelgrote ruimtes.
Geschikt voor luchtafvoer naar buiten of via een kort leidingsysteem.
Muur, plafond of raam installatie.(fig.2).
Lees deze handleiding zorgvuldig vooraleer het toestel in gebruik te nemen en bewaar deze op een veilige plaats als naslagwerk. Dit product
werd ontworpen volgens de geldende normen en in overeenstemming met de voorschriften inzake elektrische apparatuur en moet worden
geïnstalleerd door technisch gekwalificeerd personeel. De fabrikant is niet aansprakelijk voor schade aan personen of eigendommen die
ontstaan door het niet opvolgen van de instructies in deze handleiding.

• Controleer de unit na het uitpakken. Bij twijfel contacteer een gekwalificeerd technieker. Laat het verpakkingsmateriaal nooit binnen het
bereik van kinderen of mensen met een beperking.
• Raak de unit nooit aan met natte of vochtige handen/voeten.
• De unit is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen (inclusief kinderen) met verminderde lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens of
personen met een gebrek aan ervaring en kennis, tenzij ze onder toezicht staan of instructie krijgen over het gebruik van de unit door een
persoon die verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid. Kinderen moeten onder toezicht staan om te vermijden dat ze met de unit spelen.
• Gebruik de unit niet in aanwezigheid van brandbare gassen, zoals alcohol, insecticiden, benzine, enz.
• Van zodra er zich een probleem voordoet bij het gebruik van de unit, ontkoppelt u de unit en neemt onmiddellijk contact op met een
gekwalificeerd technicus. Gebruik enkel originele onderdelen voor herstelling.
• Het elektrisch net waarop de unit is aangesloten moet voldoen aan de geldende regelwetgeving.
• Vooraleer de unit op het elektriciteitsnet aan te sluiten controleer:
- of de gegevens op het identificatieplaatje (spanning en frequentie) overeenkomen met deze van het net.
- of de elektrische voeding/stopcontact voldoende is voor het max. vermogen van het toestel.
• Het toestel mag niet worden gebruikt in combinatie met boilers, fornuizen, enz.... De unit mag geen hete lucht/rook afvoeren van een ander
toestel zoals droogkast, verwarmingstoestellen, Deze lucht dient afgevoerd te worden door het voorziene kanaal.
• Werkingstemperatuur: -20°C tot +50 °C.

MET VOCHTSENSOR/TIMER
De ventilator is voorzien van een vochtsensor, waarvan de drempelwaarde voor relatieve luchtvochtigheid instelbaar is van 50% tot 95% via
speciale trimmer en een timer die instelbaar is van 0 tot ca. 30 minuten via speciale trimmer (fig. 15E).
De ventilator draait continu op de geselecteerde trickle snelheid (door de jumper switch combinatie - zie figuur 16), verhoogt de snelheid in
het geval het percentage van de relatieve vochtigheid hoger is dan de ingestelde drempelwaarde, en kan ook verhoogd worden met een
speciale aan / uit schakelaar ( of PIR, CO2-sensor ...) of met een lichtschakelaar (fi g. 14E). Trickle snelheid kan worden uitgeschakeld.
Om de hygrostaat-functie uit te schakelen, draait u de trimmer HY volledig met de klok mee.
Automatische vochtsensor:
Indien het percentage relatieve luchtvochtigheid hoger is dan de vooraf ingestelde drempelwaarde, dan zal de ventilatorsnelheid automatisch
verhoogd worden naar de comfort boost stand. De comfort boost is het gemiddelde tussen de ingestelde minimale snelheid en de maximum
boost. Indien de relatieve luchtvochtigheid onder de vooraf ingestelde drempelwaarde gaat, dan zal de ventilator opnieuw op zijn minimale
snelheid draaien na een vaste nalooptijd van 5min ingesteld in de fabriek.
Externe schakelaar:
geschakeld zoals op figuur 14D. Indien de externe schakelaar aangezet wordt (een LED op het toestel geeft de activatie weer), dan zal de
ventilator op de maximale boost stand draaien (83m³/h). Indien de externe schakelaar uitgeschakeld wordt, dan blijft de ventilator draaien
op deze boost stand volgens de ingestelde tijdsperiode. Na deze nalooptijd zal de ventilator opnieuw op de minimale snelheid draaien (of op
de comfort boost indien de automatische vochtigheidssensor geactiveerd is). De nalooptijd functie wordt echter enkel geactiveerd indien de
externe schakelaar voor min. 60 sec. aangezet wordt.
VERSIE
• De unit is enkel ontworpen om zuivere lucht te onttrekken d.w.z. zonder vet, roet, chemische of bijtende stoffen, of ontvlambare of
explosieve mengsels.
• Stel de unit niet bloot aan atmosferische invloeden (regen, zon, sneeuw, enz.).
• Dompel de unit of onderdelen niet onder in water of andere vloeistoffen.
• Schakel de hoofdschakelaar uit van zodra er zich een probleem voordoet of bij onderhoud van de unit.
• Voorzie voor de installatie reeds een meerpolige schakelaar in de elektrische bedrading volgens de geldende richtlijnen zodat bij
overspanning de installatie gegarandeerd spanningsvrij kan gemaakt worden (contactopening >of = 3mm).
• Als het netsnoer beschadigd is, moet het worden vervangen door de fabrikant, zijn installateur of personen met vergelijkbare kwalificaties
om gevaar te voorkomen.
• Blokkeer het uitlaatrooster of de ventilator niet om een optimale luchtdoorgang te garanderen.
• Zorg voor voldoende ventilatie toevoer/afvoer in/uit de kamer in overeenstemming met de bestaande regelgeving om te zorgen voor een
goede werking van de unit.
• Indien de unit geïnstalleerd is in een ruimte waar ook een toestel op brandstof aanwezig is, dient er voldoende verluchting te worden
voorzien om de goede werking van de unit te kunnen garanderen
• Als de ruimte waarin het toestel geïnstalleerd is ook toestellen huisvest die werken op brandstof (boiler, methaan enz. fornuis, dat geen
“afgedichte kamer” type) is het essentieel om voor voldoende luchttoevoer te zorgen om goede verbranding te waarborgen en goede
werking van de apparatuur.
• Installeer het product zodat de waaier niet toegankelijk is via de luchtuitlaat kant, verificatie met de vinger test (test sonde “B” van de norm
EN61032) in overeenstemming met de geldende veiligheidsnormen.
• Plafond installatie
Om de IPX4 mate van bescherming tegen vocht bij plafondmontage te garanderen, gebruikt u de juiste plafond montage set, die niet is
inbegrepen. Gebruik alleen het toevoer gat op de achterzijde voor voedingskabels.
Attentie: installeer dit product niet in het plafond zonder deze montage kit.
• Raam installatie
bij raam installatie moet men gebruik maken van de raam montage kit, deze is niet inbegrepen.

INSTALLATIE TYPE INSTELLING
Het type installatie kan worden geselecteerd via JUMPER 1 tussen de volgende opties: door de wand of geleide. Zie figuur 16.
INSTELLING TRICKLE SNELHEID
Trickle snelheid kan worden geselecteerd met behulp van Jumper 2 en JUMPER 3 tussen de volgende opties: 21, 29, 47 m³/h. Zie figuur 16.

Introduction
XTRAKT (fig. 1) is a decentralised mechanical ventilation unit designed to ensure
air extraction in small/medium-sized rooms.
Suitable for air discharge directly to the outside or in the presence of short ducted system.
Wall, ceiling or window installation (fig.2).
Read this manual carefully before using the product and keep it in a safe place for reference.
This product was constructed up to standard and in compliance with regulations relating to electrical equipment and must be installed by
technically qualified personnel.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage to persons or property resulting from failure to observe the regulations contained in
this booklet.

experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device from a person responsible
for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
• Do not use the product in the presence of inammable vapours, such as alcohol, insecticides, gasoline, etc.
• If any abnormalities in operation are detected, disconnect the device from the mains supply and contact a qualied technician immediately.
Use original spare parts only for repairs.
• The electrical system to which the device is connected must comply with regulations.
• Before connecting the product to the power supply or the power outlet, ensure that:
- the data plate (voltage and frequency) correspond to those of the electrical mains
- the electrical power supply/socket is adequate for maximum device power. If not, contact a qualied technician.
• The device should not be used as an activator for water heaters, stoves, etc., nor should it discharge into hot air/fume vent ducts deriving
from any type of combustion unit. It must expel air outside via its own special duct.
• Operating temperature: 0°C up to +50 °C.
• The device is designed to extract clean air only, i.e. without grease, soot, chemical or corrosive agents, or ammable or explosive mixtures.
• Do not leave the device exposed to atmospheric agents (rain, sun, snow, etc.).
• Do not immerse the device or its parts in water or other liquids.

• Turn off the main switch whenever a malfunction is detected or when cleaning.
• For installation an omnipolar switch should be incorporated in the fixed wiring, in accordance with the wiring regulations, to provide a full
disconnection under overvoltage category III conditions (contact opening distance equal to or greater than 3mm).
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
• Do not obstruct the fan or exhaust grille to ensure optimum air passage.
• Ensure adequate air return into the room in compliance with existing regulations in order to ensure proper device operation.
• If the environment in which the product is installed also houses a fuel-operating device (water heater, methane stove etc., that is not a
“sealed chamber” type), it is essential to ensure adequate air intake, to ensure good combustion and proper equipment operation.
• Install the product so that the impeller is not accessible from the air outlet side as veried by contact with the Test Finger (test probe “B” of
the norm EN61032) in compliance with the current safety regulations.
• Ceiling installation
In order to guarantee the IPX4 degree of protection against moisture in case of ceiling installation, use the appropriate ceiling mount kit,
which is not included. Use only the rear entry hole for supply cables. If there is a possibility of condensation along the air discharge duct,
provide a drainage system to prevent condensation from discharging into the environment through the fan.

• Window installation
In case of window installation it is necessary to use the appropriate window kit, which is not included.
Attention: do not mount the product on the window without this kit.
WITH HUMIDISTAT/TIMER
The fan is equipped with a humidity sensor, whose threshold is adjustable from 50% to 95% Relative Humidity via dedicated trimmer, and with
a timer which is adjustable from 0 to approx. 30 minutes via dedicated trimmer (g. 15E).
The fan runs continuously at selected trickle speed (set by the jumper switch combination - see gure 16), increases its speed in case the
percentage of Relative Humidity exceeds the settable threshold, and can anyway be boosted with a dedicated ON/OFF switch (or PIR, CO2…
sensor) or with a light switch (g. 14E). Trickle speed can be set to off.
To deactivate the humidistat function, turn the trimmer HY completely clockwise.
Automatic humidistat operation: when the percentage of Relative Humidity exceeds the settable threshold, fan speed automatically increases
to “comfort boost” speed, which is intermediate between the selected trickle speed and the boost speed. When the percentage of Relative
Humidity goes below the threshold, the fan continues to function at “comfort boost” speed for a factory set period of time then returns to
selected trickle speed.
Operation with external switch: connected according to the diagram in gure 14E. When the external switch is turned on, the fan is boosted.
After the external switch is turned off, the fan continues to run at boost speed for a settable period of time, then it returns to selected trickle
speed (or to “comfort boost” speed in case automatic humidistat operation is on). The front cover LED indicates when the external switch is
on. The over-run timer function is activated only if the external switch has been on for at least 60 seconds.

Introduction
Le Xtrakt (schéma 1) est une unité de VMC ponctuelle conçue pour
garantir le renouvellement de l’air dans des pièces de petites/moyennes dimensions.
Parfait pour l’extraction de l’air directement vers l’extérieur ou à travers de courtes
canalisations.Installation murale, au plafond ou sur des fenêtres (schéma 2).
Lisez ce manuel avec attention avant d’utiliser ce produit et conservez ce manuel dans un lieu sûr
afin de pouvoir le consulter si besoin.
Ce produit a été fabriqué dans les règles de l’art et conformément aux normes en vigueur en matière d’appareils électriques, et il doit être
installé par un personnel techniquement qualifié. Le fabricant n’assume aucune responsabilité pour les dommages causés aux personnes ou
aux biens par le non-respect des règles de ce manuel.

• En cas d’une quelconque anomalie dans le fonctionnement, débranchez l’appareil du réseau électrique et adressez-vous au plus vite à un
personnel qualié. En cas de réparation, exigez des pièces de rechange exclusivement originales.
• L’installation électrique à laquelle le produit est raccordé doit être conforme aux normes en vigueur.
• Avant de brancher le produit au réseau d’alimentation ou à la prise électrique, assurez-vous que :
- les données de la plaque signalétique (tension et fréquence) correspondent à celles du réseau de distribution électrique ;
- le courant électrique de l’installation/prise soit approprié à la puissance maximum de l’appareil. Dans le cas contraire, adressez-vous à un
personnel qualié.
• L’appareil ne doit pas être utilisé comme activateur de chauffe-eau, poêles, etc., et ne doit pas extraire de l’air dans des conduits utilisés
pour l’évacuation d’air chaud/de fumées provenant d’un quelconque appareil à combustion. Il doit expulser l’air vers l’extérieur à travers un
conduit spécique.
• Température de fonctionnement : 0° jusqu’à +50 °C.
• L’appareil est conçu pour extraire uniquement de l’air pur, c’est à dire sans éléments graisseux, suies, agents chimiques ou corrosifs,
mélanges inammables ou explosifs.

• Ne laissez pas l’appareil exposé aux agents atmosphériques (pluie, soleil, neige, etc.).
• Ne plongez pas l’appareil ou une de ses parties dans de l’eau ou tout autre liquide.
• Éteignez l’interrupteur général de l’appareil chaque fois qu’une anomalie dans le fonctionnement se présente ou durant le nettoyage.
• Durant l’installation, prévoyez, dans le réseau d’alimentation électrique (conformément aux normes de sécurité), un interrupteur omnipolaire
qui permet la déconnexion complète selon la catégorie de surtension III (distance d’ouverture des contacts égale ou supérieure à 3mm).
• Si le câble d’alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le fabricant, son service d’assistance technique ou un personnel qualié
an d’éviter tout danger.
• Ne bouchez pas la grille d’aspiration ou d’expulsion de l’air an de garantir un meilleur passage de l’air.
• Assurez-vous que l’air arrive adéquatement dans la pièce, conformément aux règles en vigueur, an de garantir le bon fonctionnement de
l’appareil.
• Si la pièce où l’appareil est installé possède un appareil fonctionnant avec un combustible (chauffe-eau, poêle au méthane, etc., pas
du type “chambre étanche”), il est indispensable d’assurer une entrée d’air adéquate, an de garantir une bonne combustion et le
fonctionnement correct de ces appareils.
• Installer l’appareil de sorte que la turbine n’entre pas en contact, côté refoulement, avec le Doigt d’Essai (sonde de test “B” de la norme
EN61032) conformément aux normes contre les accidents en vigueur.
• Installation au plafond
En cas d’installation au plafond, an de garantir le degré de protection contre l’humidité IPX4, il est nécessaire d’utiliser le kit spécial
pour installation au plafond non fourni. Pour les câbles d’alimentation, utiliser seulement l’entrée située à l’arrière. Si une éventuelle
condensation se forme le long du tuyau d’expulsion de l’air, prévoir un système de drainage qui empêche la condensation de se répandre
dans le local à travers le ventilateur.
Attention : ne pas monter le produit au plafond sans le kit spécial.
• Installation à la fenêtre
En cas d’installation à la fenêtre, il est nécessaire d’utiliser le kit spécial pour l’installation à la fenêtre non fourni.

AVEC CONTROLE DE L’HUMIDITE ET TIMER
L’extracteur est pourvu d’un circuit avec une sonde de mesure d’humidité, dont le seuil d’intervention est réglable de 50% à 95% d’Humidité
Relative, et d’un timer réglable entre 0 et environ 30 minutes en agissant sur les trimmer respectifs (schéma 15E).
L’extracteur fonctionne en continue à la vitesse minimale sélectionnée (dénie en plaçant le jumper comme dans le schéma 16) qui augmente
automatiquement quand le pourcentage d’Humidité Relative dépasse le seuil prévu : la vitesse maximale (Boost) s’active via un interrupteur
ON/OFF dédié (ou alors via des capteurs PIR, CO2…) ou encore via un interrupteur de la lumière (schéma 14E).
La vitesse minimale peut aussi être désactivée (OFF).
Pour désactiver la fonction contrôle de l’humidité, tourner complétement le trimmer HY dans le sens horaire.
Fonctionnement automatique du contrôle de l’humidité : lorsque le pourcentage d’Humidité Relative dépasse le seuil d’intervention prédéni,
la vitesse d’extraction augmente automatiquement à la vitesse moyenne, qui est une vitesse intermédiaire entre les vitesses minimales et
maximales. Lorsque le pourcentage d’Humidité Relative passe en-dessous du seuil, l’extracteur continue de fonctionner à la vitesse moyenne
pendant une durée dénie lors de la fabrication pour par la suite retourner à la vitesse minimale sélectionnée.
Fonctionnement avec un interrupteur externe : une fois raccordé selon le schéma indiqué (schéma 14D), lorsque l’interrupteur externe est
activé, le ventilateur fonctionne à la vitesse maximale (Boost). Après avoir éteint l’interrupteur externe, le ventilateur continue de fonctionner
à la vitesse maximale pendant un lapse de temps réglable, pour par la suite retourner à la vitesse minimale sélectionnée (ou à la vitesse

The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin indicates that this product must be collected separately from
other waste at the end of its life. The user must, therefore, dispose of the product in question at suitable
electronic and electro-technical waste disposal collection centres, or else send the product back to
the retailer when purchasing a new, equivalent type device.
Separate collection of decommissioned equipment for recycling, treatment and environmentally
compatible disposal helps to prevent negative effects on the environment and on health and promotes
the recycling of the materials that make up the equipment.
Improper disposal of the product by the user may result in administrative sanctions as provided by law.

All ELEK TRENDS devices are developed and manufactured according to the highest possible quality demands.
If however there happens to be a failure with an ELEK TRENDS product than the conditions of the guarantee are described
below The ELEK TRENDS guarantee is only valid in case of manufacturing or assembling errors
The guarantee commences on the day of purchase or invoice date of the product with a recognized dealer and ends
after the guarantee period as described below. The ELEK TRENDS guarantee is valid when the unit is used according to the user manual and when the unit is used according
to the purpose for what it was build. The original purchase order needs to be shown (invoice, ticket or receipt) with the day
of purchase, the name of the ELEK TRENDS dealer and the model and serial number of the unit.
The ELEK TRENDS guarantee expires when:
- When one of the above mentioned documents have been changed, crossed out, deleted or been made unreadable.
- The model (type) or the production serial number on the unit has been changed, crossed through, erased or been made
unreadable
- Reparations or changes are done by a non authorised person or dealer
- A failure is the result of external (found outside of the unit)causes i.e. lightning, water pollution, fire, wrong use or negligence
- A failure caused by connected external devices, accessories or installation materials other then prescribed by ELEK TRENDS
- Damage caused by animals
- A failure due to normal wear and tear of the replaceable parts used as consumables (i.e. carbon brushes, filters,)
ELEK TRENDS always has the choice to replace or repair the unit
This guarantee excludes any other damage, indirect or commercial or consequential damage and is strictly limited to what is
explicitly mentioned in these conditions
Guarantee period and specific conditions:
- Guarantee of 1 year on labour and parts
- Installation, installation costs and travel expenses are not under guarantee
- Guarantee on installation materials and accessories is 1 year
Alle ELEK TRENDS apparaten zijn ontwikkeld en gefabriceerd overeenkomstig de hoogst mogelijke kwaliteitseisen. Indien er toch iets fout zou gaan met een ELEK
TRENDS product dan geeft ELEK TRENDS een garantie onder volgende voorwaarden hierna omschreven. De ELEK TRENDS garantie is enkel geldig ingeval van fa-

- reparaties of wijzigingen zijn uitgevoerd door niet bevoegde service-organisaties of personen
- een defect een gevolg is van externe (buiten het apparaat gelegen) oorzaken, bijvoorbeeld blikseminslag, wateroverlast, brand, verkeerd gebruikt of
onachtzaamheid
- een defect veroorzaakt door aangesloten randapparatuur, toebehoren, of gebruiksmaterialen anders dan door ELEK TRENDS voorgeschreven
- de schade veroorzaakt is door dieren
- het apparaat defect is door normale slijtage van vervangbare onderdelen die als verbruiksonderdelen bedoeld zijn
ELEK TRENDS heeft steeds de keuze een defect apparaat te herstellen of te vervangen.
Deze garantie sluit elke andere schade, indirecte of commerciële of gevolgschade uit en is uitsluitend beperkt tot hetgeen uitdrukkelijk in deze voorwaarden opgenomen.

- Si le dommage a été causé par des animaux
- Si l’appareil est défectueux suite à l’usure normale des pièces détachées qui sont décrites comme des pièces de consommation.
ELEK TRENDS a toujours le choix de réparer ou de remplacer l’appareil défectueux. Cette garantie exclut tout autre dommage, soit indirect, commercial ou consécutif
et se limite

- la garantie est d’un an sur le travail et les pièces détachées
