IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electric devices, basic safety precautions must be
observed. To avoid the risk of burns, electric shocks, fire, and/or
personal injury, please read the instruction manual carefully
before using the device, and observe all of the instructions during
the operation of the device.
Store this manual carefully for further use.
Please include this manual when transferring the device to a third
party.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
• Electronic devices are not toys! Keep children away from the device!
• Only use the devices for its intended purpose.
• The device is only suitable for use in private households and not for
commercial use.
• Do not leave the device unsupervised while in use or connected to the
mains.
• Switch off the device if it is not in use, in the event of malfunctions and
for cleaning, and also remove the power plug.
• Do not carry the device by the power cord.
• Keep the device clean and dust-free.
• Never use the device outdoors.
• Check the device regularly for signs of visible damage. Do not use the
device if you have determined damage, if the device has fallen down
or if it does not function properly. Do not attempt to repair the device
yourself.
• Repairs are only allowed to be carried out by qualified specialists.
• The power point must be located near to the device so that the plug
can be removed easily in an emergency.
HAZARDS DUE TO ELECTRIC CURRENT
• The voltage stated on the name plate of the device must agree with
the voltage of your mains electricity network.
• Only connect the device to a power socket that has been installed
properly. Do not use a power strip or an extension cable.
• Never operate the device using a timer or another remote contract
device.

• Never touch the device, the power cable and the plug with damp or
wet hands or if you are standing on wet ground.
• Do not run the power cable through wash basins or sinks.
• Do not immerse in water.
• Immersing the device in water or other fluids leads to a risk to life of
electric shock!
• Keep the device, the power cable and plug away from hot surfaces,
naked flames, direct sunlight and sharp edges. When using the device
make sure that the cable is not jammed (e.g. in doors).
• When you pull the plug out of the power socket, always pull on the
plug and never on the cable.
• If the power cable of this device is damaged it has to be replaced by a
correspondingly qualified person to prevent hazards. The same applies
to the plug.
• As extra protection, the installation of a residual current circuit breaker
with a rated residual current of no more than 30 mA is recommended
in the bathroom circuit. Please contact an authorised electrician for
this.
HAZARDS TO PEOPLE
• This device can only be used by children over the age of 8 or people
with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or a lack of
experience and/or knowledge, if they are supervised or have been
instructed how the safely use the device and have understood the
hazards that can arise when using the device. Children are not allowed
to play with the device.
• Children are not allowed to perform cleaning and maintenance.
• Children do not recognise the hazards which can arise when handling
electrical devices. Keep children away from the device. Pay particular
attention when using the device if children are in the vicinity!
• Keep the packaging materials such as plastic bags and polystyrene
parts out of the reach of children. Danger of suffocation!
• When laying the cable make sure that it cannot become a tripping
hazard.
ARTICLE-SPECIFIC HAZARDS
• Make sure that the safety cage is not dirty and is correctly attached.
• Do not operate the device without the safety cage.
• Make sure that no items like curtains or similar are hanging/lying
close to the device, which could become caught when the device is in
operation.
• Do not use the device on uneven surfaces or close to stairs. Avoid
tipping the device over (e.g. due to edges on the floor) while it is in
use.
• The fan is only allowed to be used in fully-assembled condition! Check
all screws/plug-in connections at regular intervals! Tighten loose
screws and correct the hold of the plug-in connections.

BEFORE FIRST START
• Take the device out of the packaging and remove all packaging materials and
inserts.
• Unwind the power cord fully.
• Check the side screw connections of the wire
stand (5)

• Make sure that all the safety wires of the
safety guard (3)
are closed.
HANDLING THE DEVICE
• Make sure that none of the
power buttons (2)
are pressed!
• Insert the plug into a properly installed socket.
• Tilt the device using the
handle (1)
to the desired position. Make sure that it
does not tip over when you do this!
• The device has an off switch (white button) and 3
power setting buttons (2)

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning always switch off the device and remove the plug
from the power socket!
• The device, power cable and plug are not to be immersed in water or other
fluids for cleaning. Clean them with a dry cloth.
• In the event of stubborn stains the outside of the device can be cautiously
wiped with a damp cloth and then carefully dried.
• Make sure that no moisture can get inside the device. In particular through the
power buttons.
• Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, wire brushes, scouring powder or other
hard objects, which could scratch the surfaces, to clean the device.
• Clean the device regularly.
• Never use solvents or petrol as they could damage the casing.
• Tighten the visible screws on the device regularly to ensure that the device
functions properly.
DISPOSAL
USED ELECTRIC HOUSEHOLD DEVICES
• If you do not want to use your electrical appliance any longer,
return it free of charge to a recycling depot for used electric
appliances.
• Used electric devices do not belong in the household garbage (see
symbol).
FURTHER DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS
• Return the electrical appliance in such a condition that its later
re-use or recycling is not adversely affected. Batteries must be
removed in advance and the destruction of parts which contain
fluids must be avoided.
• Electrical appliances can contain harmful substances. Improper
handling or damage to the appliance can lead to health problems
or water or ground contamination, when the appliance is recycled
later.

SERVICE / WARRANTY
The warranty term is 3 years and begins upon the date of purchase. It covers defects
and malfunctions which occur within the warranty period under normal usage. The
warranty is valid on articles which are purchased and used in Europe. German law
applies to the warranty to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the
International Sale of Goods (CISG).
To prove the purchase date please make sure you store the proof of purchase.
In a warranty case you incur no costs for the substitute performance. The type of
substitute performance (improvement, replacement or a refund of the purchase
price) is chosen at our discretion.
The warranty is void in case of damages, alterations or improper use of the device,
where these are not the responsibility of the warranty provider. This applies
especially to the following cases:
• Interference with the device by unauthorized persons.
• Alterations on or in the device, removing or effacing the serial number, removal
or alteration of the device seal.
• In the event of damage which is due to impact, falling or external influences.
• In the event of damage which is due to improper handling or misuse.
• Damages due to external causes, e.g. voltage overload, lightning strike.
• Commercial utilization of the device.
In the event of a defect to the device (subsequent delivery, withdrawal, price
reduction or compensation) your statutory rights are not affected by this warranty.
Please store the original packaging for the event of substitute performance.
In general, replaced components are subject to the remaining warranty term of the
device.
