Locating yourbuilt-inhob
Afterremoving the packaging materialfromthe applianceand itsaccessories,
ensurethatthe hob isnotdamaged.If you suspectanydamage,do notuse
the applianceand contactan authorised servicepersonaloraqualified
electrician immediately.
·Thisbuilt-inhob istobe inserted intoacutoutofaworktop.It will be
electricallyconnected withthe switchboxbelow,especiallyprovided forthis
purpose.

.Beforeproceeding withthe electricalconnection,verifythatthe current
carrying capacityofthe systemand the socketisadequateforthe maximum
powerrating ofthe hob.
·Electricalinstallation ofthe residenceand the electricalcurrentplug in
usemustbe earthed and conform withsafetyregulations.
·If thereisno dedicated hob circuitand fused switch,theymustbe installed
byaqualified electrician beforethe hob isconnected.
·Fused switchmustbe easilyaccessibleoncethe hob hasbeen installed.
·Donotuseadaptors,multiplesocketsand/orextension leads.
·Thisapplianceconformswiththe requirementsofthe following EEC
Directives:
1.Vitroceramichob EEC/73/23 and 93/68,EEC/89/336 relating to
radiointerference,
2.EEC/89/109 relating tocontactwithfoods.

Mode Descriptions
USAGE
The applianceisoperated bytouching buttonsand the functionsare
confirmed bydisplays and acousticsignals.
Stand-By-Mode S-Mode The mainsare applied tothe hob control
and all heaterdisplays are off oraresidual
heatdisplayisactive.
Operating-Mode B-Mode Atleastone heaterdisplay showsa heat
setting between ´0`and ´9`
Lock Mode VR-Mode The hobcontrol islocked.

TurnOnand TurnOff TheAppliance
If the applianceisinStand-By-Mode,itisputinOperating-Mode bypressing
the On/Off button atleast1second.Abuzzersignalindicatesthe
successfuloperation acoustically.
Onall heatersa´0`appearsand all DecimalPointofthe heaterflashes(1
secon,1secoff).
If thereisno operation within10 sec,the displayofall heaterswill turnoff.
If the displays areturned off, the heaterwill be setintoStand-By-Mode.
If ispressed morethan 2sec(inOperating-Mode),the applianceis
switched off and issetintothe S-Mode again.The appliancecan be turned
off bypressing atanytime;even ifotherbuttonsarepressed
simultaneously.
If thereisaresidualheatofaheaterremaining,thiswill be indicated inthe
correspondentheatsetting HeaterDisplay.
SelectHeater
If asingleheaterischosen withthe corresponding Active/DeactiveHeater
Button ,the DecimalPointofthe related HeaterDisplayflashes.Forthe
selected heater,you can setthe heatlevelbetween 1-9bytouching the
HeatSetting Buttonsor.
The buttonsmustbe pressed within3sec,otherwisethe heaterselection
iserased and heatsetting dotwill disappear(DecimalPoint).If thereisno
furtheroperation within10 sec,the heaterfallsback intothe S-Mode.
The heatsetting can always be changed bypressing orbetween
level1-9.
Eachbutton operation oreachdisplaychange isquitted byabuzzersignal.

Turnon dualand triplezones (availableonlyinsomemodels)
Turnon the dualzone
The activation ofthe dualzone isdone afterselecting the desired heater
byactuating .Thisisconfirmed byabuzzersignal.Atthe sametime,the
corresponding DualZone Indicatorgoeson statically.Touching fora
second time,the statusofthe dualzone toggles:itchangesfromdualzone
on todualzone off and back again.
The extension zone can be activated only,afteralevelbetween 1-9isset
on the basiczone ofthe heater.
Turnon triplezones
Adualortriplezone can onlybe switched on,ifthe basiczone ofaheater
issettolevel1–9 and the heaterisselected,the dotison.
If ispressed,the buzzersignalsoundsand the DualZone Indicatoris
staticallyon.If ispressed onceagain,thereisanotheracousticalsignal
and the tripleheaterisswitched on.The TripleZone Indicatorwill be
illuminated and the triplezone will be energized.
Aftertouching onceagain,the triplezone ofthe heaterwill be switched
off again.Eachoperation causesastatuschange ofthe dual/triplezones
following inthismanner(Dualzone on,triplezone on,all extended zones
off, dualzone on,triplezone on,dualzone on,etc....)
SetCooking LevelWithand WithoutHeatBoost
All heatersareequipped withheatboostfunctionality.
If the heatboostisactive,than the heaterwill be operated withmaximum
powerforthe period ofthe heatboosttime,thatisdependentfromthe
selected heatsetting.Thisisindicated through aflashing ´A`,alternating
withthe heatsetting value (e.g.0,5sec´A`and 0,5sec´9`) inthe heater
display.Oncetheheatboosttimeendedonlytheheatsetting will beindicated.
If the heatboostshouldbe used foraheater,heaterlevel9mustbe operated
bypressing starting fromlevel0.Aftersetting the heattolevel9,´A`
will be indicated alternating.Thismeansthatlevel9and heatboostisactive
now.

The heatboostcan be turned off bypressing until heatsetting ´0`
appears.
If the heatboostshouldbe used,itcan always be activated byactuating
againifthe heatsetting issettolevel9.Inthe heatdisplay´A/9`flashes.
TurnOff IndividualHeaters
Aselectiveheatercan be turned off with3differentways:
.Simultaneousoperation ofand buttons
·Reduction ofthe heatsetting to´0`byoperating button
·Useoftimerturnoff function forthe corresponding heater
Simultaneousoperation ofand buttons
The corresponding heatermustbe chosen withthe Active/DeactiveHeater
Button ,the DecimalPointofthe related HeaterDisplayflashes.Toturn
off the heater,and mustbe pressed atthe sametime.Abuzzer
signalsoundsand ´0`appearsinthe heatsetting display.
If the timerisactiveforthe selected heater,then ´0`will appearinthe heater
displayand alsothe related timerCooking Zone IndicatorTimerFunction
and the TimerDisplayisturned off.
If thereisaresidualheatforthisheaterremaining,thiswill be indicated by
astaticdisplay´H`inthe heatsetting display.
Reduction ofthe heatsetting to´0`byoperating button
The heatercan alsobe turned off byreducing the operated heatsetting to
´0`.
When HeaterDisplayindicates´0`,an associated DecimalPointofthe
heaterwill alsobe turned off.
Turning off an activeheater,notonlythe ´0`appearsinthe HeaterDisplay,
butalsothe related timerCooking Zone Indicatorand the TimerDisplayis
turned off.
If thereisaresidualheatforthisheaterremaining,thiswill be indicated by
astaticdisplay´H`inthe heatsetting display.

Useoftimerturnoff function forcorresponding heater(availableonlyin

Afterreaching aremaining timeof0minutes,the timerstopsthe linked
heater,showing the ´0`showninthe HeaterDisplayand shutsdownTimer
Display.Inthe TimerDisplayisshown´00`.The related timerCooking Zone
Indicatordisappears.
Anassigned Dual/TripleZone Selection Indicatoralsodisappearsifitis
active.
Additionallythe buzzerindicatesacousticallythe timerrun out. After
confirmation ofthe timerrun outbytouching anybutton,the buzzergoes
silent.
TimerFunction (availableonlyinsomemodels)
The timerprovidesfollowing features:
The controlcan run max.4heaterassigned timersand 1minuteminder
(whichisassigned tono heater) simultaneously.
All timerscan be used onlyinB-Mode.Aheatertimercan onlybe assigned
toaactiveheater,running inlevelsbetween 1-9.The minuteminderis
independentofanyheater.
Inordertousebothfunctions,timerfunction mustbe activated bythe
Active/DeactiveTimerbutton .
Touching forthe fisttimeafteractivating the heaters,the controlproposes
the minuteminder(no Cooking Zone Indicatorisflashing,theyareall on
oroff).
Touching forthe second time,the controlproposesthe assignmentto
one ofthe activated heatersbyflashing Cooking Zone Indicator.Nowthe
timertothe linked timersignalised.
Touching again,the nexttimerinthe inthe clockwisedirection,is
proposed forassignmentofthe nextactiveheater.And soon…

MinuteMinder
Nomatterwhetheraheaterisactivated ornot, the minutemindercan be
operated bytouching .The appearing ´00`showsthattimerisactiveand
the dotinthe rightTimerDisplayindicatesthatand arenowlinked
forsetting the timervalue.
The minuteminderisselected when all Cooking Zone Indicatorsarestatically
on oroff (no Cooking Zone Indicatorisflashing).
Withand ,the timervalue can be set.
Aftersuccessfulsetting ofthe minutemindertime,the timerstartsto
decrementthe time.
The minuteminderwill notbe stopped byswitching off the applianceor
activating the keylock function,itwill proceed increasing the minutesuntil
run outindication.
Afterreaching the ´00`ofthe timer,buzzerindicatesthe run outoftime.
Tostop the buzzeryou havetoconfirm the ´run out`bytouching anybutton.
Heatertimer
Heatertimerscan be setonlyforactivated heaters(heaterlevelmustbe
setbetween 1-9)
Firsttouchof,the minuteminderisactivated.Aftertouching forthe
second time,the timerisassigned tothe activated heater.The proposed
assignmentisindicated bythe related Cooking Zone Indicator,who is
flashing.
Touching againafteractivatingthefistheatertimer,thecontrolrecommends
the nextactiveheaterassigned tothe timerinthe clockwisedirection.The
assignmentrecommendation isindicated bythe flashing Cooking Zone
Indicator.
Touching and ,the timervalue forthe heatercan be set.
The running timerofthe firstsetheatertimerisindicated bythe statically
lighting Cooking Zone Indicator.
Touching onceagainfurthertimerscan be assigned tootheractivated
heaters.

Zone Indicator.Howmanytimerarerunning you can identifybythe number

Bytoggling ,you can displaythe timervaluesforthe heatertimerand
the minuteminder.The assignmentisalways indicated bythe flashing
Cooking Zone Indicator.If no Cooking Zone Indicatorflashes,the minute
mindertimeisshowninthe 2-digitTimerDisplay.
All heatertimerscan be erased byswitching off the applianceintothe S-
Mode using .Aminuteminderwill notbe erased,itwill proceed operation
until run out.
ToeraseatimerinOperation Mode,you firsthavetoselectthe timerby
toggling the Active/DeactiveTimerButton until itisdisplayed.The value
can be erased then in2differentways:
·Decrementbytouching until ´00`appearson the TimerDisplay.
·Touchand simultaneouslyfor0,5secuntil ´00`isshowninTimer
Display.
Afterreaching the ´00`ofaheatertimer,the assigned heaterlevelwill be
setto´0`.
The heatertimerorminuteminderrun outisindicated acousticallybya
buzzertone.Thiswill beerasedbytouchinganybuttonforacknowledgement.
Key Lock
Keylock functionalityisforblocking and setthe applianceintoasave
modusduring operation.Touchmodificationsasforexampleriseheat
settingsand othersshouldnotbe possible.It isonlypossibletoswitchthe
applianceoff.
The lock function isactive,ifthe KeyLock button ispressed atleast2
sec.Thisoperation isacknowledged byabuzzer.Aftersuccessfuloperation
ofmorethan 2sec,the KeyLock Indicatorflashesand the heaterislocked.
The heatercan onlybe locked inOperating Mode (B-Mode).

If the heaterislocked,onlycan be operated,all otherbuttonsareblocked.
If thereisanyotherbutton operated inthe blocked mode,the buzzersignal
soundsand the KeyLock Indicatorflashesasindication forthe activated
keylock functionality.Onlythe switchoff byoperation ofispossible.But
ifyou switched off the appliance,you can notrestartitagainwithout
unlocking.
Afterpressing 2sec,the KeyLock Indicatordisappears.Now,the hob
controlisunlocked and can be operated innormalorder.
ChildLock
Childlock functionalityisforeseen tolock the applianceinacomplicated
Multi-Step process.
Childlocking and unlocking isonlyavailableinthe S-Mode.
Firsthastobe pressed until the buzzerbeeps,then the and have
tobe pressed foratleast0,5sec,butmax1sec.simultaneously.Following
that, the appliancecan be locked bytouching the .All 4heaterdisplays
´L`isshowed asaconfirmation.
Inthe casethe minuteminderisstill running,itwill proceed until ´00`is
reached and the timerwill beep.Afterconfirmation oftimerrun out, the
applianceisfullylocked.None ofthe buttonscan be used aslong asthe
applianceislocked.

The samewaythe childlock isactivated,itcan alsogetdeactivated.After
pressing until the beep,then the and havetobe pressed
simultaneouslyforatleast0,5sec,followed bytouching onlythe .As

Stop &GoFunction (availableonlyinsomemodels)
The Stop &Gofunctionalitycan be used onlyalternativelytoKeylock
functionality.It isnotpossibletouseboth.
The Stop &Gofunction isactivated bypressing for1sec.Afterwards
itisacknowledged acousticallybytwobeeps.
The Stop-function isactiveand all heaterswhichareturned on will be
reduced toheatsetting ´1`for1minute,then forthe remaining 9minutes
arunning lightwithahorizontalbarstarting fromthe bottomtothe top is
displayed.Afterwardsall heatersarereduced toheatsetting „0“forthe rest
ofthe time.Forall inactiveheatsettings,thereis´0`orthe residualheat
´H`indicated.
The heatercompletelyturnsoff after10 minutesorafterimmediateoperation
of.
If the heateristurned off via,the heaterisinS-Mode and the Stop-
function isdeleted.If the heateristurned on again,thereisno Stop &Go
function.

If the timerisused asminuteminder,the timewill continue during Stop &
Gofunction.
If the timerisused withthe turnoff functionalityofan assigned heater,then
the timerstopsdecrementing the timeduring Stop &Gooperation.After
deactivating the Stop &Gofunction,the timerwill operateagain.
If the heatboostforaheaterisactive,then the expired timeofthe heat
boostisstored and afterdeactivating the Stop &Gofunction,the remaining
heatboosttimewill expire(meaning the heatboosttimedoesnotcontinue
during the Stop &Gocondition).
Todeactivatethe Stop &Gofunction,mustbe pressed for1sec.It is
acknowledged acousticallywithabeep.
Afterwardsreleaseand actuateanybutton within10 sec(exceptand
),than the operating conditionsactivebeforethe Stop &Gooperation
will be activated again.All reduced heatercontinue toworkwiththe last
chosen heatsetting.If no furtherbutton orisactiavted within10 sec,
the heaterturnsoff.
