care in mind.
If anything unusual is observed when using the
machine, please stop usage immediately and contact

oContinued usage after the machine exhibits
physical (or other defects such as irregular,
unusual or uncustomary performance) is not
recommended and can leads to secondary failure
being voided.

When charging this product, please use the
adapter in the packing box, and appropriately
connect the charger plug to the household
socket to avoid malfunction and fire (such as
fire caused by over-heating).

Especially given that this product has a built-
in rechargeable battery, do not place the
product in or near a fire. Also avoid using it
in extremely high temperatures and
superheated environment as this may lead to
irreversible damage to the product and lead
to malfunction or other unintended
outcomes.
This product's battery is a dedicated battery.
If you continue to use it when it has
surpassed the service life of 10,000 hours,
chemical reactions may lead to expansion
and deformation. Additionally, the product
may be deformed at high temperatures or
under extreme pressure such as by heavy
blows or drops from significant heights. If the
product is deformed, please do not use it to
avoid the risk of electric shock and fire.

Please do not use the EVENSKYN LUMO for
any other purposes than are recommended
in this manual, i.e., the LUMO should only
be used for anti-aging, skin tightening, pore
shrinkage, collagen activation, skin lifting,
electrical muscle stimulation and
phototherapy.

MANDATORY COMPLIANCE REQUIRED:
EXCESS HEAT/DEFECTS
Prior to use, please ensure that the device and charger
appear free of defect (despite us checking the device
at multiple stages of manufacturing and even prior to
shipping to our customers). Also, please ensure that no
heat above 40 degrees Celsius is observed emanating
from the device.
INSTRUCTIONS
Prior to use, please ensure that you are clear on the
usage procedure of the product. Helpful information
can be obtained from www.evenskyn.com, from pages,
articles, and video content that we post (such as
helpful How-To videos available on our Youtube
channel), but users are also encouraged to contact us
to obtain clarification, instructions and guidance to
make safe use of the EVENSKYN LUMO.
WATER CONTACT
While the LUMO is waterproof and has a IP65 rating, do
not keep the product submerged in water for extended
period of time as this is not recommended for long-
term longevity of the product.
IMPACTS AVOIDANCE
The LUMO has been manufactured with state-of-the-art

materials such as medical grade stainless steel (316)
heads and titanium electrodes, however, severe impact
can impair its ability to function at optimal levels, and
it is thus recommended that the device be handled
with care and severe impact to the device ought to be
avoided.
GENERAL NOTICE:
CLEANING: After using this product, please pay careful
attention to ensuring all cleaning products used as part
of your beauty or skin care routine (that the LUMO has
come in contact with, including but not limited to
residual oils and other moisturizer or acidic residues),
are wiped clean and removed from the device, ideally
with a dry or lightly-moist cloth (so as to avoid residue
from building up and affecting the efficacy of the
product in the long-run).
USE BY CERTAIN PERSONS: This handset is not intended
for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or those
lacking experience and knowledge on how to safely and
optimally operate the LUMO, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
device by a person responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the device.
BATTERY NOTICE: This product has built-in rechargeable
lithium batteries. Please pay attention to the following
items when discarding the product.

the battery must be removed from the handset before
it is scrapped;
the handset must be disconnected from the supply
mains when removing the battery;
the battery is to be disposed of in a safe manner.
this handset contains batteries that are non-
replaceable.
BATTERY WARNING: For the purposes of recharging the
battery, only use the detachable supply unit provided with
this handset.

ELECTRIC SHOCK: To avoid electrical shocks and as a

persons (usually only in the case of malfunctioning devices,
but caution is recommended in the interest of safety).

1. Please ensure the LUMO handset is fully charged prior
to usage. The handset needs to be switched to the non-
use (off) mode before you set it on the charging base.

2. Set the handset on the charging base and ensure the
power adapter is connected to the charging base, as
indicator on the top-right of the screen will indicated
when the handset is charging. Similar, when completely
charged, the battery indicator will display a fully
charged battery grid graphic. Minor heat emanating
from the product and/or charger while the handset is
charging, is normal.
3. It may take up to 2 hours to fully charge the handset if
the internal battery of the handset is fully drained.
4. If required, the power adapter cable that normally
connects to the charging base can be directly
connected the handset to charge it. This can especially
be helpful where power is insufficient and/or for
portability.

The level indicator on the screen of the
LUMO shows the level strength when using a certain
mode. The left key on the circular multi-functional key
panel located in front-centre area of the LUMO handset
can be used to reduce the level strength. Similarly, the
right key can be used to increase the strength of a
selected mode. There are five level strengths to choose
from, and the higher the strength applied, the more of
the desired effect is applied. The level helps you select
the mode, and factors such as age, frequency of usage,
the duration the device is used for, comfort level of the
user, among other factors, can all play a role in
determining what level strength is used.
The power icon found on the top-right corner
of the screen displays the charge level of the device.
The RF graphic in the middle of the screen
shows that radiofrequency will be applied. The
radiofrequency function can be used in a standalone
form to activate collagen and reverse the effects of
aging, or it can be used in conjunction with other
modes that follow:
PHOTON
This means that radiofrequency and photon (phototherapy)
functions are synchronized to enhance anti-aging effects.

ION
This means that radiofrequency and ION export functions are
synchronized to assist with cleaning of the skin. It is for this
mode that the outer-most detachable metal ring on the
head of the handset exists (that is magnetically attached)
and can be removed and reattached if the usage of a
makeup cleaning cloth/pad for this mode is desired by the
user.
ENI+PHOTON
This means that, in addition to the very effective
radiofrequency function, the photon (phototherapy) function
as well as ENI (ion and molecular uptake) functions are
being synchronized to assist with skin care product
absorption deep into the skin.
EMS+PHOTON
This means that the electrical muscle stimulation, photon
(phototherapy) and radiofrequency functions are activated.
This mode is optimal for seeing maximal skin tightening and
lifting results. You may want to use a slider gel or cream for
even better results for this mode, and to feel electrical
pulses on your skin is normal for this mode (the feeling of
said electrical pulses is more pronounced and palpable when
again this is normal and to be expected for this mode).
COOL+PHOTON
This means that the cooling function has been activate in
tandem with photons (phototherapy). This mode is ideal as a
finishing step following any of the aforementioned

rejuvenating steps to help apply cold compression to tighten
and shrink pores. This mode is best used for 3-5 seconds on a
given area before moving on to other untreated areas.
The EVENSKYN LUMO has set five modes:
PHOTON, ION, ENI+PHOTON, EMS+PHOTON, COOL+PHOTON.
The first four modes also engage radiofrequency (and this
will be shown on the screen when you turn it on and select a
certain mode. Select the appropriate mode for your routine
or skin goal by toggling through them by using the top and
down buttons on the circular multi-functional keys.
PHOTON MODE: This mode is mainly aimed at older users
with milder signs of aging. The mode preforms the role of
assisting with restoring tender and compacted skin. Please
wash your face before use, and/or use skin care products,
such as anti-aging gels for best results.The products that you
use need to ideally be water-based for optimal results.

ION mode: This mode is used for deep cleaning. Prior to
using the ION mode, wash your face, then you may use a
toner to further wet your skin. Remove the ring on the head
of the product, attach cosmetic cotton, reattach the ring
back on to the handset, and spray toner on the cosmetic
cotton. Long-press the middle key to turn the product on.
Short-press the upper and lower keys to select the mode you
need, and short-press the middle key to confirm that it is in
working condition (the ION mode in this case needs to be
selected). Then short press the left and right keys to adjust
the intensity level with which you want this mode
performing. The function can be suspended by pressing the
middle key during operation. Clean your face again after
operation. This recommended operation time for this mode
is about 3 minutes.

ENI+PHOTON mode: This mode is operated after facial
washing or after the aforementioned "ION" nursing mode.
Apply skin care products to your face (such as essence,
lotion, moisturizing mask, etc.). Please note that clay mask
can not be used with this mode as the enhanced absorption
does not work with clay masks.
Short-press the upper and lower keys to select this mode,
press the middle key to start the function, and then press
the left and right keys to select the mode intensity level. It
is recommended to start with the lowest level for first-time
users. After gradual adaptation, the appropriate level can be
selected as per user comfort level and discretion. The
recommended operation duration for this mode is about 3
minutes.
ENI+PHOTON

EMS+PHOTON mode: After washing the face or carrying out
the "ENI+PHOTON" nursing, you may choose to apply an anti-
aging skin softening gel or cream evenly on the face. Short-
press the upper and lower keys to select this mode, and
short press the middle key to start the function. Followed by
short-pressing the left and right keys to select the mode
intensity level. Depending on your sensitivity level, you may
want to adjust the intensity level and choose one that you
allows you to comfortably use the device in this mode for
the next 5 to 15 minutes (lesser time is recommenced for
those with milder signs of again, while those with more
prominent and pronounced signs of again may use the device
for longer, but not exceeding 15 minutes per session).
EMS+PHOTON

COOL+PHOTON mode: After completing "ENI+PHOTON" or
"EMS+PHOTON," clean the residual skin care products from
the handset head. Choose this mode for pore tightening and
pore shrinkage by pressing the upper and lower to select this
mode.Intensity selection is unavailable for this mode, as this
mode only has one pre-set intensity. The recommended
usage time is 3 to 5 minutes.
Please choose the right mode and level according to your
skin condition and comfort level. If ever unsure, please
first-time users, it is recommended that they start with
the first intensity level and gradually select the
appropriate level that they feel comfortable using,
especially since skin sensitivity can vary from person to
person.
IMPORTANT: Please do not use this device too frequently.
Frequent use may in fact negatively affect skin health
since the skin needs time to regenerate after each use.

General use recommendations:
oION: No more than once in a 3-day window.
oENI+PHOTON: No more than two to three times per week.
oRF/EMS: No more than once in a 3-day window for
person over the age of 45, and no more than once a
week for person under 45.
oCOOL+PHOTON: May be used once a day.
Multiple modes may be used in combination. If more than
a single mode is used in the same day, it is suggested that
they be in same order as they are displayed on the
ENI+PHOTON, EMS+PHOTON, COOL+PHOTON.
User may opt to use select modes only, or use modes that
work with their skin conditions, needs and lifestyle. For
example, regular users of makeup can use the ION mode
when they wash their faces after removing the makeup
for assistance with enhanced cleaning; similarly, users
with skin care products that can benefit from assistance
with absorption of said products can regularly use the
ENI+PHOTON mode after applying/rubbing in the skin care
product(s). For user that are desirous of a tighter and
firmer skin, they can use the EMS+PHOTON mode (again
and that too, by aged users. Younger users should aim for
a maximum of once-a-week usage for no more than 15
minutes for the EMS+PHOTON mode).
As per the auto-timer built into the handset, which varies
with each mode, once the set time for the mode is over,
the handset will automatically cease the functioning of

the mode, unless the middle button is pressed again,
which will once again resume the mode and the timer will
be reset. For the ION and ENI+PHOTON operations, the
general recommendation in 3 to 5 minutes; For the
EMS+PHOTON, the general recommended time is in 8 to 15
minutes.
In order to see best results, while it is highly
recommended that you not overuse the product and allow
for the appropriate time to lapse between use session
(again, this can vary depending on which mode/function
is being regularly used by the user, or the age of the
user), but to see best long terms results such as visible
reduced or completely resolved wrinkles, long-term use is
recommended as the skin takes time to generate and
tighten.
