explosive dust such as coal or grain.
•If motor sound becomes higher pitched always check for the
following:
•Blocked hose or accessory
•Blocked/clogged filter
•Full container
•Always check that the filter is clear and not blocked. Keep
all openings clear of any blockages.
•When lifting the unit, always hold it by the hand grip.
•Only use the product as detailed in these instructions.
•Only use the manufacturer’s recommended attachments
and consumables.

•Ensure unit operation switch is off before plugging unit into
a power socket-outlet.
•If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
Ewbank®or its appointed agents to avoid a hazard.
•It is recommended that an ALCI device is fitted into the
mains supply socket-outlet for added protection against
electric shock.

Assembling the Appliance
•Insert the handle into the aperture at the top
of the body until the metal securing knob is
located (Fig.3).
•Polisher base can be removed from the
appliance, press release clip (A) and pull
straight out (Fig.2).
Changing the pads and plates on your
product
•Make sure machine is not plugged in before
fitting pads.
•Note the orientation of the drive hubs (Fig.4).
•
•Press the plate down to clip into place (Fig.6).
•Always use two plates of the same type, i.e.
not 1 brush and 1 pad (Fig.7).
•Simply pull the plates off to remove and
change.

Place the required hook & looped-plate or
brush plateover the hub and rotate
until the shape lines up (Fig.5).
•Adjust the handle to suit your height (Fig.1).

Using your floor scrubber & polisher with
Vac on various floor types
DO NOT USE ON CARPET
Take care not to fall or slip when polishing floors,
they can become very in the process.slippery
Only use dedicated floor products; other
inappropriate polishes and waxes may leave
the floor dangerously slippery.
Before using your machine ensure the floor is clear
from debris/dirt as large particles can get stuck in
the the brushes & pads and may scratch your floor.

Removing old polish
•Read and follow carefully the instructions for
your chosen floor polish remover.
•Use the white pads to scrub old polish from
the floor.

•Ensure that the scrubbing brushes are
attached to the product (see page 5).
•To turn the machine on, select setting II
(scrubbing and vacuuming).
•With your foot securing the head on the floor,
pull the handle towards you and the machine
will start (Fig.8).
•Move the machine slowly across the surface
of the floor to loosen and collect any debris.
•Take care not to scratch the floor if hard dirt gets
stuck in the brush heads.
•If during this process the dust container
becomes full of debris, please empty as
described below.
•Once this is complete, turn the machine off
before returning it to its upright position.
Scrubbing /Cleaning the floor
Spreading floor treatments
•Always read and follow manufacturer’s
instructions for floor treatment products.
•Apply the treatment directly to the floor unless
instructions indicate otherwise.
The recommended polish is Ewbank Gloss
Floor Polish (FP555) of which a sample is
supplied and available from Ewbank stockists.

Emptying the dust container
•To remove the dust container, depress the
button at the top of the unit and gently pull it
towards you and then upwards (Fig.10).
•Flip the dust container over so that the opening
lid is facing upwards (Fig.11).
•Slide lock across to open lid (Fig.11).
•Remove blue part (Fig.11-3).
•Empty debris into a trash can.

Polishing the floor
•Clean floor thoroughly first before adding your
chosen floor wax polish.
•Allow to dry before buffing using blue
polishing pads.
•Switch to setting 1, the polishing function
WITHOUT the vacuuming function.
•With your foot securing the head of the
polisher on the floor, pull the handle towards
you and the machine will start.
•If you are using a floor polish or oil, refer to
the manufacturer’s instructions when using
with the Ewbank® Scrubber & Polisher with
Vac.
•DO NOT leave the machine operating in one
area for a prolonged period of time as this
may damage your floor.
(approx. 1minute per square yard)

• Move at a speed of about 1 minute every
square yard across the surface of the floor
in the pattern illustrated in (Fig.9).

Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning the filters
•With the dust container removed, you will
have easy access to the filter and the filter
holder. The blue cyclone cone can also be
removed once the hinged bottom flap of the
dust container is open, and the dust container
empty.
•All these components are washable under the
tap – please take care as they are fragile.
•Once clean, the components must be left to
dry naturally. Please ensure that these parts
are completely dry before reassembling the
machine.

Power Cord Storage
•The electrical power cable can be stored on
the rear of the product using the convenient
power cable hooks.
Dismantling the Ewbank® Floor Scrubber
& Polisher with Vac
•Depress the release clip on the rear of the
bottom section of the machine (see page 5,
Fig. 1) and lift the main body of the machine
to remove it (see page 5, Fig.2).
•Remove the dust container from the front of
the machine by depressing the metallic button
and pulling back on the handle to free the dust
container (see page 7, Fig. 10).
•Depress the steel button, then pull the handle
section to remove it (see page 7, Fig.11).
Cleaning the floor pads
•All pads and floor attachments are washable.
•The brushes and scouring pads can be washed
under the tap with warm water. The blue buffing
pads can be machine washed on a cool cycle
(85° F).
•The vacuum and polishing units are not
suitable for washing in water, they must be
wiped with a damp cloth.

Troubleshooting
•Loss of vacuum suction?
- Check dust container is emptied.
- Check dust filter is clean.
•Smeary marks are made on floor when
polishing
- Has the polish/wax been allowed to dry?
- Does old polish/wax need to be removed?
•No gloss sheen is being produced
- Floor wax level may need to be increased, try
another coat. Allow to dry and re-polish.
- However, some types of floor do not produce
gloss finish.
•Scratches are made on the floor
- Check for grit or dirt stuck to the pads or
wheels.
- Clean/replace pads or clean wheels.
•Floor is too slippery
- Check the polish/wax is designed to be used
on floors. Floor polish / wax should produce
a glossy but grippy finish.

Mains Connection
This unit is a Class II appliance which means it is double-insulated for your protection, no
earthing wire is necessary.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Ewbank® Products or our appointed
agents to avoid a hazard.
If the fitted plug is cut off from the supply cord then the plug must be disposed of safely.
If you are using an extension cord it must be rated at a minimum of 10 Amps and fully unwound.
Do not operate with a lead rated less than 10 Amps as this will cause premature failure of the motor
which is not covered by the warranty.

Please do not dispose of tools with your domestic waste. It is your responsibility to dispose of this

This product is guaranteed for a period of 12 months against faulty materials and workmanship.
While every possible care is taken by Ewbank®Products to ensure that our products leave the
factory in good working order, Ewbank®Products cannot under any circumstances accept liability
for problems or damage caused by their subsequent use. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure
the surfaces to be treated or cleaned are suitable for vacuuming. This warranty does not affect your
statutory rights. This warranty excludes the use for rental. In the event of a fault occurring please
contact our helpline before returning the unit to our Service Department at the address below
together with a copy of your purchase receipt. All repairs will be dealt with speedily.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and some states do not
allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so part or all of the above
limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from
state to state.

Montaje del aparato
• Insertar el asa en la apertura de la parte superior
del cuerpo, hasta que el collarín de seguridad
esté enderezado (Fig.3).
• Ajustar el asa para que se adapte a su estatura
(Fig.1).
• La base pulidora se puede retirar del aparato
presionando la pinza de extracción (A) y estirando
hacia fuera (Fig.2).
Cambio de las almohadillas y placas del
producto
• Asegurarse de que el aparato no está enchufado
antes de colocar las almohadillas.
• Observar la orientación de los cubos impulsores
(Fig.4).
• Colocar la placa de adhesivo o placa de cepillo
requerida en el cubo y girar hasta que la forma de
la placa física se alinee (Fig.5).
• Empujar la placa hacia abajo para sujetarla en la
posición (Fig.6).
• Utilizar siempre dos placas del mismo tipo, es
decir, no 1 cepillo y 1 almohadilla (Fig.7).
• Simplemente tirar de las placas para retirarlas y
cambiarlas.

Utilización de la máquina limpia suelos y
pulidora con aspiradora en diversos tipos
de suelos

Retirar abrillantador usado
• Leer y seguir cuidadosamente las instrucciones del
abrillantador escogido.
• Usar las almohadillas blancas para fregar del suelo el
abrillantador usado.

NO UTILIZARLA EN ALFOMBRAS
Debe tenerse cuidado con resbalar al pulir los
suelos, ya que pueden convertirse en muy
resbaladizos durante el proceso. Utilizar
solamente productos de suelos dedicados, ya
que los abrillantadores y ceras inapropiados
pueden hacer que el suelo quede
peligrosamente resbaladizo.
Asegúrese de que el suelo está limpio antes de
utilizar la máquina, ya que las partículas muy
grandes pueden quedarse atascadas en los
cepillos y almohadillas y ocasionar rasguños
en el suelo.
• Asegurarse de que los cepillos fregadores están
instalados en el producto (véase la página 5).
• Para encender el producto, seleccione el nivel II
(fregado y aspiración).
• Sujetando la cabeza de la pulidora en el suelo con
el pie, tirar del asa hacia atrás y el producto se
activará (Fig.8).
• Mover el producto lentamente a través de la
superficie del suelo para desprender y recoger
cualquier residuo.
• Asegúrese de que los residuos grandes no queden
atascados en los cepillos para que no rayen
el suelo.
• Si durante el proceso el contenedor se llena,
vacíelo como se ha descrito anteriormente.
• Cuando se ha realizado esto, desactivar el producto,
antes de volver a colocarlo en su posición vertical.
Fregado/limpieza del suelo
Aplicación de tratamientos de suelos
• Leer y seguir siempre las instrucciones de los
fabricantes de productos de tratamiento de suelos.
• Aplicar el tratamiento directamente al suelo a
menos que las instrucciones indiquen otra cosa.
Se recomienda el abrillantador Ewbank Gloss
(FP555) del cual los almacenistas de Ewbank
proporcionan una muestra. Fig.8

Vaciado del contenedor de polvo
• Para vaciar el contenedor de polvo, presionar el
botón situado en la parte superior del producto y
tirar suavemente hacia arriba (Fig.10).
• Dele la vuelta al contenedor para que la tapa esté
orientada hacia arriba (Fig.11).
• Retire la parte azul (Fig.11-3).
• Vacíe el contenedor en la basura

Pulido del suelo
• Limpiar el suelo a fondo antes de añadir el
abrillantador de suelo escogido.
• Permitir que se seque antes de pulirlo utilizando
almohadillas pulidoras azules.
• Seleccionar el nivel I, la función pulidora SIN
aspirado.
• Sujetando la cabeza de la pulidora en el suelo con
el pie, tirar del asa hacia atrás y el producto se
activará.
• Si con la máquina limpia suelos y pulidora con
aspiradora Ewbank® se utiliza una cera o aceite de
pulir suelos, consultar las instrucciones del
fabricante.
• Mover el producto lentamente, aproximadamente
un minuto por metro cuadrado a través de la
superficie del suelo empleando el patrón ilustrado
en la Fig.9.
• NO dejar que el producto funciones en un área
durante un período de tiempo prolongado ya que
esto puede dañar el suelo.

Limpieza y Mantenimiento
Limpieza de los filtros
• Con el contenedor de polvo retirado, tendrá acceso al
filtro y al soporte del filtro. El cono azul también se
puede retirar una vez la pestaña inferior esté abierta,
y el contenedor de polvo vacío.
• Todos los componentes se pueden lavar con agua –
tenga cuidado ya que son frágiles.
• Una vez limpios, los componentes deben secarse
naturalmente. Asegúrese de que todas las partes
están completamente secas antes de volver a
montar la máquina.

Almacenamiento del cable de alimentación
• El cable de alimentación puede almacenarse
en la parte posterior del producto utilizando los
prácticos ganchos de almacenamiento de cable
de alimentación.
Desmontaje de la máquina limpia suelos y
pulidora con aspiradora Ewbank®
• Presione la pinza de extracción en la parte inferior
trasera del producto (véase la página 5, Fig.1) y
levante el cuerpo del producto para retirarlo
(véase página 5. Fig.2).
· Retire el contenedor de polvo de la parte frontal
del producto presionando el botón metálico y
tirando del asa (véase página 7, Fig.10).
· Presione el botón de aluminio, y después tire del
asa para retirarlo (véase página 7, Fig.11).
Limpieza de las almohadillas de suelo
• Todas las almohadillas y accesorios de suelo
son lavables.
• Los cepillos y almohadillas restregadoras
pueden lavarse debajo del gripo con agua
templada. Las almohadillas pulidoras azules
se pueden lavar a máquina en agua fría (85ºF).
• Las unidades pulidoras y aspiradoras no
pueden lavarse con agua, deben limpiarse
con un paño húmedo.

Resolución de problemas
• Pérdida de succión de la aspiradora.
- Compruebe que el contenedor de polvo esté vacío.
- Compruebe que el filtro esté limpio.
• El producto mancha el suelo al pulir.
- El abrillantador o cera no se ha secado suficientemente.
- El abrillantador o cera es demasiado viejo.
• No se produce brillo
- Quizás necesite aumentarse el nivel de cera de suelo,
añadir otra capa. Permitir que se seque y repetir la
operación.
- Sin embargo, algunos tipos de suelos no producen un
acabado brillante.
• Aparecen arañazos en el suelo
- Compruebe que no hay residuos o suciedad adherida
en las almohadillas o ruedas.
- Limpie/cambie las almohadillas o limpie las ruedas.
• El suelo es demasiado resbaladizo
- Compruebe que el abrillantador/cera está destinado a
utilizarse en suelos. La cera de suelos debe producir un
acabado brillante pero no resbaladizo.

Conexión a la red
Esta unidad es un aparato de Clase II, lo que significa que dispone de doble aislamiento para su
seguridad, no necesita toma de tierra.
Si el cable está estropeado debe ser reemplazado por Ewbank®Products o sus agentes
autorizados para prevenir riesgos.
Si el conector se desconecta del cable se debe eliminar de forma segura.
Si usa un cable de extensión debe tener una capacidad nominal de un mínimo de 10 amperios y
debe estar completamente desenrollado. No use un cable de extensión de capacidad inferior a 10
amperios ya que causará daños prematuros en el motor y no están cubiertos por la garantía.
