partially.Applyforwardpressuretotherollbarhoop
andobservethattheknobsreturntothecompletely
latchedpositionasshowninFigure1.
4.TopreventtheROPSbarfromdamagingtheLPG
fueltank,insertthe1/2–13x31/4inchscrew
throughthebracketholebelowandbehindtheRH
ROPSpivot.Installthelocknutandtightensecurely.
InstallingLPGFuelTank
1.RemoveLPGfueltankfromthefrontofthemower.
2.Havethetanklledbytrainedandqualied
personnel.
CAUTION
Undernocircumstancesshouldpropanetanks
lledbeyond80%capacitybeusedinservice.
Theuseofoverlledtanksmayresultinthe
releaseofhighlyconcentratedandextremely
ammableliquidpropane.RefertotheSafety
section.
3.Cutthetiessecuringthetankbrackets,andmove
themoutoftheway.
4.Alignthecenterholeoverthemountingpinthat
pointsstraightuponthemowerasshowninFigure2.

Important:Valvesandgaugesmaynotfunction
properlyiftheLPGtankisnotinstalledcorrectly.
5.Latchthebracketsandmakesurethetankissecurely
fastenedtothemower.

6.Carefullyconnectthefuelhose.Makesurethehose
isnotkinked.
7.Slowlyopenthefuelvalvetoequalizethepressurein
thetank.Ifthefuelvalveisopenedtooquickly,the
pressurereliefvalveisequippedwithabackpressure
checkvalvethatwillshutoffthefuelsupply.Ifthis
happens,closethefuelvalvecompletelyandwaitve
seconds.Slowlyopenthefuelvalve.
8.CheckforleaksasdescribedintheSafetysection
oftheOperator'smanual.
CheckingTirePressure
1.Checkthetirepressureinthedrivetires.Proper
inationfordrivetiresis13psi(90kPa).
2.Adjustifnecessary.

•Wearsafetyglassestoshieldeyes,andrubber
glovestoprotectskinandclothingwhen
handlingelectrolyte.
•DoNotswallowelectrolyte.
•Intheeventofanaccident,ushwithwaterand
calladoctorimmediately.
1.Checkthevoltageofthebatterywithadigital
voltmeter.Locatethevoltagereadingofthebattery
inthetablebelowandchargethebatteryforthe
recommendedtimeintervaltobringthechargeup
toafullchargeof12.6voltsorgreater.
Important:Makesurethenegativebattery
cableisdisconnectedandthebatterycharger
usedforchargingthebatteryhasanoutputof
16voltsand7ampsorlesstoavoiddamaging
thebattery(seechartforrecommendedcharger
settings).

Loosenthetwo3/8inchnylocnutsattachingthe
dischargechute.Lowerthedischargechuteinto
position.Retightenthenylocnutsuntilthechuteissnug
butcanpivotfreely.
ServicingtheEngine
Theengineisshippedwithoil;checkoillevelandif
necessarylltotheappropriatelevel.Exmark4-Cycle
PremiumEngineOilisrecommended.Refertothe
EngineOwner’sManualforanacceptablealternative.
ServicingtheHydraulicOil
Themachineisshippedlledwithhydraulicoilinthe
reservoirs.
1.Checkhydraulicreservoirsandifnecessarylltothe
appropriatelevelwithExmarkPremiumHydroOil.
2.Adjusttheseattothemostforwardpositionto
accessthecapsontheLHandRHhydrodrives.
3.Removethecap,wipethedipstickclean,andre-insert
thecapbackintothehydro.Looselytightenthecap.
4.Removethecapagainandchecktheleveloftheoil
onthedipstick.SeeFigure3foroillevels.
