Congratulations, you now own the most innovative
ventilation system on the market. EZ Breathe is designed not only to
lower humidity levels, but also to reduce moldy and musty odors.
This ventilation appliance installed in the lowest level of
a home/building is engineered to expel moisture-laden air that
stagnated due to poor air circulation and to provide ventilation
in lower levels, crawlspaces, apartments or any other areas in need
of circulation. Cool, moist air will gravitate to the lowest point
and without proper ventilation, create an environment where
the damp air will stagnate and emit odors, nurture the development
of molds, mildew and saturate into the structure, i.e. walls, floor,
frame work, etc.
The EZ Breathe unit’s quiet, powerful fan draws the moist surface air
through the bottom vents and then expels it outside through
a 6" duct. The humidistat control continuously monitors the
relative humidity of the air flowing out. When the humidity
drops to the desired level, programmed by you, the EZ Breathe
unit will shut off, and then come back on again when humidity
levels increase.
“If the air is exhausted outside, do we lose
any heat?” The answer is no. Since the EZ Breathe system
eliminates only the damp, cold air at the lowest level, the potential
for losing heat is minimal. If we go on the principle that damp
air is harder to heat than dry air, it’s more economical
to replace that damp air with dry air and then heat it.
Once the EZ Breathe unit has exhausted damp air outside and
replaced it with dry air from the upper levels of your home/
building, it will shut off. The EZ Breathe unit will continue to
monitor humidity levels automatically turning on and off according
to your setting. Therefore, it exhausts the cool damp air while
the warm dry air is retained.

This component continuously monitors the humidity level of the air
being expelled through the EZ Breathe unit. You can set this control
to maintain the desirable level of humidity in your home/building.
FOR BEST RESULTS…
Set the humidistat between 35% - 45% all year round.
Please note…Even though the ideal setting would be 35% - 45%
all year round, these levels of humidity, due to environmental
conditions, may not be obtainable. When the desired level of
humidity has been achieved, the EZ Breathe unit will automatically
turn off, and then on again as humidity level increases.
The EZ Breathe will run continuously until desired level has been
reached. Don’t worry; the unit has been designed to perform under
these conditions. During winter/cooler periods when the furnace is
often running, the unit may shut off due to the humidistat reaching
the desired level. During these periods, you can set the humidistat to
it’s lowest setting and turn the fan to low. This will cause the unit to
run on low continuously, providing ventilation for the space without
exhausting heated air.
FAN SPEED CONTROL: The rate at which you expel the damp air
outside is adjustable with the help of this control. When the humidity
level is lower than the setting on the humidistat, the unit will shut off.
To ensure non-stop ventilation, see the setting for the Ventilation Only
mode below.
FOR BEST RESULTS…
In the summer, set the speed control to med – high
In the winter, set the speed control to med – low
FOR VENTILATION ONLY:
Set the humidistat to 20%
Set the fan speed between low – med

zKeep storage at least 3’ – 4’ from the unit to allow free air flow.
zBasement/lower level windows should be kept closed and doors
between basement/lower level rooms open.
zKeep fruit or wine cellar doors closed.
zOnce every month inspect:
zIntake vents
zExterior vent
to make sure they are free from dust, lint, dirt, etc. in order to
ensure proper functionality of the humidistat.
zMake sure not to obstruct the intake vent at the bottom of the unit
or the replacement air vent from upstairs. This will ensure
maximum removal of indoor air pollution.
zLike any appliance that evacuates air outside the building envelope
(such a an EZ Breathe unit, range hood, bathroom fan, clothes
dryer, etc.) a negative pressure is created inside the building. As
the pressure inside the building gets lower than the barometric
pressure outside, there is a remote chance that some exhaust fumes
may be drawn in. This is usually not a problem when the following
guidelines are adhered to:
zEZ Breathe is installed on exterior wall of the lowest level.
zEZ Breathe unit is installed at least 8-10 feet from any
combination device.
zMaximize the distance between the EZ Breathe unit and the
source of replacement air (stairwell, vent, etc.)
HELPFUL TIPS

zThe EZ Breathe appliance pulls cool, damp air from the lowest
level basement or crawlspace and expels it outside, replacing that
air from upstairs. The EZ Breathe system works most effectively
when the air from upstairs is dry. The air from upstairs is drier
when your furnace or air conditioner is running and, therefore, the
basement/lower level becomes drier.
zDuring times when our customers are neither heating, nor air
conditioning their homes, about 10% of our customers may
need to run a dehumidifier in conjunction with the EZ Breathe.
This is because the EZ Breathe relies on a source of air that is
below 50% humidity. When you aren’t air conditioning or heating,
your upstairs humidity may not be in the target range. Even
in these times, EZ Breathe is still providing the benefits
of removing odors, smoke, allergens, mold gases, dust, and radon.
The best approach is to maintain your upstairs below
50% relative humidity, then EZ Breathe can do its job.
zEvery 6 months to a year it is recommended to use a compressed
air can to clean the inside of the base unit to get any dust or debris
out of the unit. This will prevent any vibrations caused by buildup.

Warrantee and Guarantee are only valid for units sold and installed by
authorized distributors and installers.
We are certain that you will be delighted with your EZ Breathe ventilation system
and so we offer the best guarantee and warranty in the industry. The EZ Breathe
ventilation system comes with a full performance guarantee, which allows you to
obtain a refund for the purchase price of the unit(s) after one (1) year of operation
from the date of purchase. As it may take a significant amount of time to reduce the
moisture content of various building materials (i.e. concrete, cinder block drywall,
etc.), furniture, etc. in the area serviced by your EZ Breathe unit, this system must
be allowed to operate through a complete seasonal cycle of twelve (12) months to
fully benefit from the effectiveness of ventilation. Acceptable airflow and air quality
(i.e. under 50% relative humidity) requirements of the replacement air must be
established and maintained for the unit to assist in reducing humidity and air
pollutants, and it is the homeowner’s responsibility to do so. If your EZ Breathe
ventilation system is not reducing moisture problems after installation, please call
verify that your system is being used in a manner that permits it to operate at
maximum efficiency and for any suggested remedial actions to reduce moisture
problems. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to comply with these suggested
remedial actions (i.e. provide adequate replacement air under 50% relative humidity,
eliminate water intrusion, install vapor barrier, etc.) by our EZ Breathe technician.
Failure to comply will result in nullification of this Performance Guarantee and EZ
Breathe Warranty. Notification of any problems must be made within the first six
(6) months after installation of the unit to the EZ Breathe distributor and/or the
manufacturer of the problems. This is to allow for enough time for the remedial
actions to have an effect. If the indoor moisture problems do not improve, the
service department will issue a call tag for the return of the unit. Package the system
per specifications, and return with proof of purchase. Upon receipt of EZ Breathe
unit, a refund will be issued. Our performance guarantee is limited to the purchase
price paid for the system, but not for any consequential, incidental or any other
damages connected therewith. All other charges (i.e. transportation, labor, repair
and maintenance to building) are excluded. If the system is returned prior to
installation for reasons that are not the fault of the homeowner (i.e. inability to
install the system due to house construction) a full refund will be sent to the
homeowner. No refund will be issued if the system is not returned within 30 days.
If the system is returned after contacting the service department and all remedial
measures taken did not produce satisfactory moisture reduction, and the system is
returned prior to 12 months, a 15% (of the purchase price) restocking fee plus a
freight and handling charge each way, will be deducted from the refund. The
performance guarantee is restricted as above and is not applicable to any warranty,
which is covered separately under the company’s warranty included with the system.
Important Notice: In order to be eligible for the One Year Performance
Guarantee customers must send the installation completion certificate signed
by the installer, along with the completed warranty card. Customers should
make and retain copies of all paperwork for their records.
