DANGER OF DISENGAGEMENT OF THE FLEXIBLE SHAFT
Ferrules 082001 on 486500 motors are not compatible with ferrules 486758 on 486750 motors.
The visual difference lies in the presence of a passage scan ('A') on 082001 not present on 486758.
E. Attach the handpiece to the flexible shaft.
F. Insert the power plug into the power socket.
DANGER OF OVERHEATING
Before plugging the plug into the power socket, make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the
name plate of the rheostat.
3.2 ENGINE START-UP
DANGER OF DISENGAGEMENT OF THE FLEXIBLE SHAFT OR HANDPIECE
Run the engine idle for a few seconds, ensure correct operation.
In the event of abnormal noises or loose connections, disconnect power to the motor
To operate the motor, move the rheostat lever from right to left
3.3 SPEED ADJUSTMENT
The speed by stopping the rheostat pedal to the right for minimum speed and to the left for maximum speed
4MAINTENANCE
4.1 Replacing Carbon Brushes
When it becomes necessary to replace the carbon brushes, proceed as follows:
Disconnect the power plug.
Remove the top cover, using a 3 mm hexagonal key, to unscrew the two screws
blocking it (fig. 2).
Straighten connection terminal 'A' (Fig 3-4) and pull it out of the connector. Fig 3)
Replace the carbon brushes (fig. 2).
Replace connector 'A' in the housing and fold it back to ensure it is tight (Fig. 3),
Replace the cap, securing it with the two screws (Fig. 2).
DANGER OF MALFUNCTION
It is important not to reverse the connection wire of the carbon
brushes, as this would rotate the motor in the opposite direction!
Fig 4)
4.2 FUSE REPLACEMENT
The fuse is located inside the rheostat and the hexagonal screw on the top of the cover must be removed to remove it.
5GUIDE TO THE MOST COMMON PROBLEMS
The engine does not run.
Check that the power plug is inserted into the socket and that the socket is working properly.
Check the state of the fuse in the rheostat.
Disconnect the flexible shaft from the motor and try again.
If it works now, the fault lies in the flexible shaft or the handpiece.
Check the wear condition of the carbon brushes and replace them if necessary
Consult technical assistance.
The motor turns regularly, but there is no transmission of motion to the flexible shaft.
Disconnect the flexible shaft from the motor and check the integrity of the transmission gears located between it and the motor.
Please contact technical support forpossible replacement.
Motion is transmitted regularly to the flexible shaft, but the handpiece shaft does not rotate.
Disconnect the handpiece from the flexible shaft andcheck the transmission status.
