●Description of the structure and function
●Operating Instructions
1. The “Select” key is used to toggle between frequency setting and function setting. The
"*" indicates the current setting mode.
2. To adjust the frequency, Using the [t] key and the [u] key to move the cursor to left or
right indication position Using the [OK] button to switch the frequency display units
(Hz, kHz and MHz). To change the output frequency, please turn the coding switch to
increase or decrease value.(Note: arbitrary waveform frequency is the reference frequency, namely: the actual
output frequency = frequency value × the 1024-point arbitrary waveform cycle entered by the user):

3. When changing the function, use the [t] or the [u] button to choose the item to be
adjusted, such as WAVE, DUTY, COUNTER, EXT.FREQ, SAVE and LOAD
4. WAVE represents the current adjusted waveforms; such value can be modified by
turning the coding switch the current waveform and set by pressing the OK button.
Abbreviation is listed below:
a) SINE corresponds to sine wave
b) SQUR corresponds to square wave,
c) TRGLcorresponds to triangular wave,
d) ARBI1ARBI2ARBI3 user-defined arbitrary waveform
e) prec1 PREC2, PREC3, PREC4, PREC5, PREC6, PREC7 prefabricated waveform.
(Note: arbitrary waveform shows the frequency of the reference frequency, the actual output frequency = frequency
× user-defined waveform cycle)

5. DUTY presents for the duty cycle, the coding switch is used to adjust the duty cycle.
Range of value fordifferent wave form can be referred as below:
a) SQUR can be adjusted between 1% to 99%,
b) Three types of value in TRGL

6. COUNTER: the value of counter is displayed on screen. Import pulse from EXTF input,
Reset the count value by pressing the OK button.
7. EXT.FREQ refers to outside the frequency measurement function which is capable of
measuring the EXTF input signal frequency.
8. SAVE: current frequency value, current waveform and duty cycle data can be kept in
the instrument's internal memory for up to 10 different combinations. To save the
setting to a specific memory slot, user can turn the coding switch to change to number
of memory slot in which setting will be saved, and press the OK button to save the data.
Upon successfully completion of saving the data, “OK” is displayed on the lower-right
corner of the screen. Setting saved into memory slot 0 will incur such setting being
loaded from restart of the device. M1 andM2 has a special significance for those
FY3000S series device which has SWEEP function, M1 refers to the starting frequency;
M2 refers to the stop frequency. If SWEEP function is required, user has to ensure
validity of the value set for M1 and M2 where FM2> FM1.
(Set the storage location)
(Storage parameters to position '0 'is completed, OK
displays)
9. LOAD is used to read parameters from current storage location, the operations is
similar to SAVE. Please refer to SAVE.
10. TIME is set to scan time setting range: 1 second to 99 seconds.

11. SWEEP represents frequency sweep function, divided into LIN-SWEEP (linear sweep)
and LOG-sweep (sweep). The default sweep mode is the LIN-SWEEP mode, the mode
can be set by turning the coding switch. For starting the sweep, press the OK button;
the frequency of the output signal changes from the FM1 FM2, pressing the OK button
again to stop the sweep. Value of M1 and M2 frequency and scan time need to be saved
before starting sweep function.
12. TTL output can be synchronized to the same frequency output two differential TTL
level.
13.The amplitude adjustment potentiometerto adjust the amplitude of the output signal.
14.Bias adjustment potentiometerto adjust the output signal DC bias.
15.Buzzer function, each time you press the button, or turning coding switch generates a
pulse beep tone. Long-last beep tone will be issued when the operation is invalid. If user
finds the sound is disturbing and needs to be turned off, press and hold the [Select] key
when the device is switched off, and then turn on the power switch. Repeat same step for
turning on voice prompts.
