We greatly appreciate your purchase of FEURICH BASIC.
FEURICH BASIC allows you to enjoy your new piano any time you want without disturbing
others. With the mute lever in the release position, your FEURICH BASIC functions as a
quality upright acoustic piano with the added benet of audio and MIDI output signals. With
the mute lever in the Mute position, the piano’s acoustic sound is silenced and headphones
can be used to hear the audio signal privately.
FEURICH BASIC contains 10 demo songs for your piano exercise.
Before playing your new FEURICH BASIC, we suggest reading this user’s guide thoroughly
to become acquainted with its capabilities and functions.
FEURICH BASIC will be operated sensitively by slight touch of the LETTERS below
the touch buttons’ icons.

WARNING When using electrical products, basic precautions should always be
followed, including the followings:

1. Read all instructions before using the product.
2. The product should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the
operating instructions or as marked on the product.
3. Do not open the cover under any circumstances.
4. Power is supplied through a polarized line plug (one wide blade). Connect only to an
outlet designed for a polarized plug.
5. Keep the power cord away from other objects. Make sure that the cord is not twisted,
placed in any lane of trafc, or a trapped under the piano.
6. Place your FEURICH BASIC away from direct sunlight, water or moisture, or hot or
cold air currents.
7. The power-supply cord of the product should be unplugged from the outlet when left
unused for a long period of time.
8. If repair service is necessary, refer only to authorized service personnel.
9. This product, either alone or in combination with an amplier and headphones or
speakers, may be capable of producing sound levels that could cause permanent
hearing loss. Do not operate for a long period of time at a high volume level or at a
level that is uncomfortable. If you experience any hearing loss or ringing in the ears,
you should consult an audiologist.
10.The product should be placed at a location or position that does not interfere with its
proper ventilation.
11.Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the
enclosure through openings.
12.The product should be serviced by qualied service personnel when:
a) The power supply cord or the plug has been damaged; or
b) Object has fallen, or liquid has been spilled onto the product; or
c) The product has been exposed to rain; or
d) The product does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in
performance; or
e) The product has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged.

FEURICH BASIC Operation
1) Power on
2) Activating the stop rail: Move the lever (left side,
beneath the piano keybed) into the “Mute” posi-
tion.
3) Plugging in and wearing the headphones: Plug
your headphones into one of the headphone jacks.
Then put the headphones on.
4) Controlling the volume: Play something on the
piano.
Adjust the headphone’s volume using the [
▼ ] ,
[ ▲ ]. Establish a pleasant listening volume level.

How to try out various contained sounds on FEURICH BASIC
A. Sound select
You can select one of 17 Pre-set sounds and 128 GM Sounds.
Pre-set sounds can be changed only by the manufacturer (The user(s) cannot change these sounds).
1) Press [SOUND] button for the sound mode, and the upper left [SOUND] lamp and upper right
[SOUND] button will highlight the button icon.
2) Press [FUNC.] buttons to select from Pre-set sounds or GM sounds.
3) Press either [
▼ ] or [ ▲ ] button of [VOLUME/DATA] to select one from 17 Pre-set sounds,
or 128 GM sounds.
4) GM Sounds need just one channel at a time (Other channels are off mode).
• Press [ ▲ ] button to move from a low numbers to a high number. 
•
Press [ ▼ ] button to move from a high number to a low number.
• Press either [ ▼ ] or [ ▲ ] button and hold it longer to move through the sounds faster.
5) Press [SOUND] button after selecting the desired sound and the setting will then be saved. The
display will return to the home mode automatically.
You can enjoy FEURICH BASIC as a digital piano with various sounds and effects, and also as a
sound module with GM sounds contained.

1) Press and hold the [FUNC.] button
2) Strike the G#4(48) black key to transpose up by an
octave or Strike the F#4(46) black key to transpose
down by an octave or;
3) Strike the A#4(50) black key to reset the transpose
quickly.
4) Control range of the transpose is 2 octaves.
D. Reverb, Chorus (Effects)
To simulate the spatial sound effects for the current
selected sound, a player can select the desired chorus
and reverb type and adjust the depth of each effect.

1) Press and hold the [FUNC.] button
2) Strike the D#5(55) black key to increase reverb
amount or Strike the C#5(53) black key to de-
crease reverb amount by 1.

1) Press and hold the [FUNC.] button
2) Strike the G#5(60) black key to increase the chorus amount or Strike the F#5(58) black key
to decrease the chorus amount by 1.
Reverb type
While pressing and holding the [FUNC.] button, strike the C#6(65) black key. This will cycle
through the reverb type and allow you to adjust the depth of each type.
Chorus type
While pressing and holding the [FUNC.] button, strike the D#6(67) black key. This will cycle
through the chorus type and allow you to adjust the depth of each type.

How to use the functions by the keys.
B. Velocity Curve
The touch of your FEURICH BASIC can be changed to accom-
modate players with a lighter or heavier than average touch.
To change form the default Medium setting, follow these steps:
1) Press and hold the [FUNC.] button.
2) Press one of the 5 black keys just below the middle C to
select the new touch.

The FEURICH BASIC internally contains 128 GM sounds along with the pre-set and user-set ,
sounds. They all can be selected by using piano keys like the numeric keypad from 0 to 9 with the
[FUNC.] button.
A. How to selet 128 GM sounds
1) Press and hold the [FUNC.] button on the front panel.
2) Strike one, two or three black keys to select the desired sound number.
3) Release the [FUNC.] button.
C. Transpose
Transpose by the Semitone
1) Press and hold the [FUNC.] button
2) Strike the D#4(43) black key to transpose up as desired or C#4(41) black key to transpose
down by a semitone.
3) Control range of the transpose is 24 Semitone by the semitone.
Strike C#1 of “1”, A#0 of “0”, C#2 of “6” while [FUNC.] button pressed, and release [FUNC.] button
after setting.

Record
A. Press [RECORD] button during the home mode for recording mode.
 Recording in both tracks respectively is available, and you can record a track while playing
another recorded track at the same time
B. Press [ ▼ ] button to select RECORD/PLAY/OFF from track2.
C. Press [ ▲ ] button to select RECORD/PLAY/OFF from track1.
D. When you select recording, if the selected track has been recorded already, it is set to PLAY
(you can record just in one track at a time).
E. Select the track you want and press [RECORD] button. Then the recording will be started after
playing count off 1 measure.
F. Press [RECORD] button again to nish recording.
G.You can continue recording on another track after selecting record/play track.
H. Press [SOUND] button to return to the Home Mode.
I. For deleting the recorded data, press and hold [FUNC.] button for more than 2 seconds, the data
would be deleted after one blink of the display.

Metronome
The built-in metronome has adjustables parameter for Tempo, Beat, Rhythm, and Volume.
Here is how to adjust each of these.
1. ON/OFF: Press [METRO.] button for metronome ON or OFF.
When metronome is on, the lamp blinks according to the beat.
2. Setting: Press and hold the [METRO.] button for more than 2 seconds, then the button icon
and METRO lamp (middle left) is on. (“120”= Tempo),
1) Press [FUNC] button to select from Tempo->Beat->Volume.
The dot beside the number indicates the selected menu.
2) Tempo : The display shows the current tempo.
(quarter step/minute, default 120/minute)
3) Beat : The display shows the number of beats per measure
(1/2~9/8)
4 ) Volume : C ontrol the range of the volume: (0~9, Default:5)
3. Press either [▼] or [▲] button to adjust Tempo, Beat, Volume.
4. Press [▼] and [▲] button together to return to the Default.
5. Press [SOUND] button to return to the home mode.

Demo
A. Press [RECORD]+ [START/STOP] buttons together during the Home Mode to get into Demo Mode.
B. Press either [▼] or [▲] button to select demo song.
C. Select a song from 10 demo songs and press [START/STOP] button to play.
D. When the selected song is nished, the next song will be played continuously.
E. Press [START/STOP] button again to stop playing.
F. Press [SOUND] button to return to the Home Mode.
Note: You can play the piano along with demo song.

A. Press [START/STOP] button during the Home Mode for Play Mode
B. Press [▼] button to select whether to play track 2 or not.
C. Press [▲] button to select whether to play track 1 or not.
D. You can play one or two tracks at one go.
E. Select one or two tracks you want and press [START/STOP] button to play.
F. Press [START/STOP] button again to stop playing.
G. Press [SOUND] button to return to the Home Mode.

How to adjust the sensitivity of FEURICH BASIC
The initialization procedure on the previous page should make all of the keys equally sensitive.
If you nd that some keys still play too loudly or softly, use the following procedure to adjust the
sensitivity of individual key.
1) Right after turning on the FEURICH BASIC, immediately press and hold [RECORD] button
before the system gets ready to be used. Release [RECORD] button. The display should
now look like this: The system is now ready to be adjusted.
The system is ready to be adjusted when the screen
shows as following.
2) Wearing headphones to monitor the sound, play each key and listen to the volume of the sound.
If the sensitivity needs to be adjusted press [▼] or [▲] button to adjust the sound volume for the
key last played down or up so that it matches the other keys.
The display shows the current key’s sensitivity value from 000 to 255.
3) Press [RECORD] button to save the adjustment, then FEURICH BASIC is ready to be played.

Occasionally you may want to initialize the system in your FEURICH BASIC for accurate response
when in silent mode. A good time to do this when it is new and after the acoustic parts (hammers
and strings) have been tuned. Use the following procedure to initialize the systems.
Initializing of FEURICH BASIC
A. Before initializing
1) The keyboard cable and AC power adaptor
should be plugged into FEURICH BASIC sys-
tem and the power should be OFF.
2) The mute lever should be in the Mute position.
3) Make sure that nothing is sitting on the key-
board that might press a key down.
B. How to initialize FEURICH BASIC
1) Right after turning on the FEURICH BASIC, immediately press and hold [METRO.] button
before the system gets ready to be used. Release [METRO.] button. The display will look
like this:
Note : Please initialize FEURICH BASIC properly if the piano is not used for a long time or recently moved. (The
height of the keys can be changed)
Release your hand
at this point.
2) Press each of the 88 keys at a time, all the way down with medium force and speed
(not too fast).
3) Press all pedals with medium force.
4) After you have nished steps 2 and 3, press [METRO.] button again to nish the initialization.
When the data is successfully stored, the display will change as
shown and the piano is ready to be played.

Connecting your FEURICH BASIC to external Audio Equipment
How to connect your FEURICH BASIC system with external AUDIO equipment.
To get amplied sound of the FEURICH BASIC, connect the audio cable from the AU-
DIO OUT of the FEURICH BASIC main unit to the AUX In of the audio equipment,
In order to hear the sound of external Audio Player, connect the audio cable from the
AUX Out of the Audio device to the Audio In of the FEURICH BASIC main unit.

How to connect your FEURICH BASIC and other general MIDI device(s).
(FEURICH BASIC is not supplied with MIDI cables. This is optional.)
In order to send the MIDI message to another MIDI device, connect the MIDI cable from
MIDI Out of the FEURICH BASIC to MIDI In of the other MIDI device.
In order to receive the MIDI message from other MIDI device, connect the MIDI cable
from MIDI In of the FEURICH BASIC to MIDI Out of the MIDI device.

Possible cause and Trouble shooting
Check if AC plug is connected to the outlet.
Check if DC plug is connected well to the DC Jack of the Rear of the main
control unit or control unit.
Check if you are using a different power supply that is not compatible with the
FEURICH BASIC
Check if headphone is connected correctly.
Check if volume is lower position.
Check if bar graph is moving when you strike the keys.
- If bar graph is not moving correctly then check the cable between main
unit and key sensor rail.
- If cable is all right, then please do the initializing procedure.
Please do the initializing procedure as instructed on User’s Guide (P16).
Please do the sensitivity of FEURICH BASIC even you did initializing proce-
dure as instructed on User’s Guide (P16).
Check the headphone if there is particle inside of the ear-pad.

Wir gratulieren und danken Ihnen, dass Sie sich für FEURICH BASIC entschieden haben.
Dieses System ermöglicht es Ihnen Piano zu spielen, wann immer Sie wollen – ohne Andere
dabei zu stören. Zudem bietet das FEURICH BASIC alle Vorteile eines Digitalpianos, ohne
dabei auf die Vorteile einer traditionellen Tastatur verzichten zu müssen. Durch die simple
Betätigung eines Hebels, schalten Sie Ihr Akustikpiano stumm.
FEURICH BASIC enthält 10 Demosongs, die Ihnen helfen Ihr Klavierspiel zu verbessern.
Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme des FEURICH BASIC Systems bitten wir Sie diese Anleitung
sorgfältig durchzulesen. Nur so nutzen Sie den vollen Funktionsumfang und werden lange
Freude mit diesem System haben.
FEURICH BASIC wird durch sanfte Berührungen der BUCHSTABEN unterhalb der
Touch-Tasten-Symbole bedient.

Informationen bezüglich möglicher Verletzungen, Elektroschock und
Feuergefahr wurden in dieser Auistung inkludiert.
1. Lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung vor Inbetriebnahme sorgfältig durch.
2. Das Produkt soll nur an das in der Bedienungsanleitung vorgegebene Stromnetz
angeschlossen werden.
3. Öffnen Sie die Abdeckung unter keinen Umständen.
4. Die Stromzufuhr erfolgt durch einen gepolten Stecker.
5. Das Netzkabel soll nicht mit anderen Objekten in Berührung kommen, es darf nicht
verdreht oder unter dem Klavier eingezwickt sein und soll auch nicht im Weg herum
liegen – Stolpergefahr.
6. Der FEURICH BASIC soll vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung, Feuchtigkeit, Wasser und
kalten oder heissen Winden geschützt werden.
7. Wenn das Gerät länger nicht benutzt wird, soll es ausgesteckt werden.
8. Für Reparaturen ist ausschließlich authorisiertes Servicepersonal zuständig.
9. Dieses Gerät kann alleine bedient werden, kann aber auch mit anderen Geräten kom
biniert verwendet werden. In diesen Fällen könnten aufgrund unterschiedlicher Ein-ud
Ausgänge Probleme auftreten.
10.Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht zu lange auf hoher Lautstärke oder einem anderen
unbehaglichen Lautstärkenlevel, Hörverlust oder ein Surren in den Ohren können die
Folge sein.
11.Das Gerät sollte an einem gut durchlüfteten Ort aufgestellt werden.
12.Keinerlei Fremdkörper oder Flüssigkeiten dürfen durch Öffnungen in das Innere des
Geräts gelangen. Sollten dennoch Flüssigkeiten in das Innere des Geräts gelangt
sein, schalten Sie das Gerät nicht ein und versuchen Se es auch nicht auseinander
zunehmen, sondern kontaktieren Sie das Reparaturcenter. Wenn das Gerät, in das
Flüssigkeiten eingedrungen sind, eingeschaltet werden, können das Keyboard und
andere Teile beschädigt werden.
13.Ein Service durch authorisiertes Personal muss unter den folgenden Umständen
erfolgen:
a) Beschädigiung des Netzkabels oder des Anschlusses;
b) Fremdkörper oder Flüssigkeiten sind in das Innere des Geräts gelangt;
c) Das Gerät war Regen ausgesetzt;
d) Das Gerät scheint nicht ordnungsgemäß zu funktionieren;
e) Sichtbare äußere Schäden.
14.Wenn dieses Produkt mit einem anderen Klavier verwendet wird, muss ein Standard-
Tuning durchgeführt werden.
15.Zur Einstellung der Höhe des Keyboards oder der Pedale, muss eine Initialisierung
durchgeführt werden.

Einsatzbereit
FEURICH BASIC Bedienung
1) Eingeschaltet.
2) Bewegen Sie den Mutehebel (links, unter der
Tastatur) in die Mute-Position.
3) Kopfhörer: Stecken Sie das Kopfhörerkabel ein
und setzten Sie die Kopfhörer auf.
4) Lautstärkenregelung: Stellen Sie die für Sie
angenehme Lautsärke ein.
Versichern Sie sich, dass die Stromversorgung mit den Details des Stromversorgungsgeräts
übereinstimmen. (12V Gleichstromstecker)
Drücken Sie sanft auf die Vorderseite der FEURICH
BASIC Kontrolleinheit und sie kommt von alleine
heraus.
Zum Wiederhineinstecken schieben Sie die
Vorderseite der FEURICH BASIC Kontrolleinheit
sanft hinein.

A. Soundauswahl
Sie können unter 17 vorgegebenen Pre-Set-Sounds und 128 GM Sounds wählen.
Die vorgegebenen Sounds können nur durch den Hersteller verändert werden. (Die Benützer dürfen diese
nicht verändern)
1) Drücken Sie für den Soundmodus den [SOUND]-Knopf, die obere linke [Sound]-Lampe und das obere
rechte [SOUND]-Knopfsymbol werden sodann aueuchten.
2) Drücken Sie die [FUNC.]-Taste (Funktion) um einen Sound der vorgegebenen Pre-Set- Sounds oder der
GM Sounds auszuwählen.
3) Drücken Sie entweder den [▼] oder [▲]-Knopf der [VOLUME/DATA] um Ihren gewünschten Sound der
17 vorgegebenen Pre-Set-Sounds oder 128 GM Sounds auszuwählen.
4) GM Sounds benötigen jeweils nur einen Kanal. (die anderen Kanäle sind im Off-Modus)
•Drücken Sie den [▲]-Knopf um zu einer höheren Nummer zu gelangen.
•Drücken Sie den [▼]-Knopf um zu einer niedrigeren Nummer zu gelangen.
•Halten Sie entweder den [▼] oder [▲]-Knopf gedrückt, um die Nummernsuche zu beschleunigen.
5) Drücken Sie nach dem Einstellen (Setting) den [SOUND]-Knopf, um die Einstellung zu speichern, danach
kommen SIe automatisch in den Home-Modus.

Sie können den FEURICH BASIC als digitales Klavier mit verschiedenen Sounds und Effekten
verwenden, oder auch als SOundmodul mit GM Sounds.

C. Setting des Transponieren
Transpose stellt die Tonhöhe für jeden Kanal ein. Man kann bis zu 2 Oktaven transponieren.
Wird hauptsächlich zum Tontrennungseffekt eingesetzt.
• Halten Sie den [FUNC.]-Knopf gedrückt und stellen Sie die Halbtöne und Oktaven ein und
Reset ein.

D. Reverb, Chor (Effekte)
Mit dem Keyboard können Soundeffekte für das Klavier einfach eingestellt werden.
• Halten Sie den [FUNC.]-Knopf gedrückt, bevor Sie mit den Tasten des Keyboards ‘Reverb’ oder
‘Chor’ und das Volumen des Soundeffekts einstellen.
• Halten Sie den [FUNC.]-Knopf gedrückt, bevor Sie mit den Tasten des Keyboards ‘Reverb Typ’
oder ‘Chor Typ’ und den Typ des Soundeffekts einstellen.

Die 128 GM Sounds können mit den Klaviertasten mit dem entsprechenden Zahlenwert und dem
[FUNC.]-Knopf ausgewählt werden.
Halten Sie den [FUNC.]-Knopf auf der Fronttafel gedrückt und wählen Sie einen Sound aus dem Bere-
ich 000-127. Ist der Zahlenwert höher als 127, wird automatisch 000 ausgewählt.
Bezüglich der Soundauswahl siehe GM-Liste. Der Sound dieses Produkts kann sich von dem eines
Originalinstruments unterscheiden.
Tastenfunktionen
A. Wie wählt man einen der 128 GM Sounds aus
Schlagen Sie die Tasten C#1 für den Zahlenwert ‘1’ an, A#0 für ‘0’ und C#2 für ‘6’ an während Sie den
[FUNC.]-Knopf drücken. Nach erfolgter Enstellung lassen Sie den [FUNC.]-Knopf wieder los.

Der Anschlag des FEURICH BASIC kann entsprechend dem individuell unterschiedlichem Anschla-
gen – entweder starker oder weicher – eingestellt werden.
Um das eingestellte Standard Medium zu ändern, folgen Sie den Anweisungen.
• Halten Sie den [FUNC.]-Knopf gedrückt und wählen Sie im Bereich von 1-5.
• Der Standardwert ist 3. (Geschwindigkeit 3)
