FGB Euky Bear Warm Steam Vaporiser User manual

Trouble Shooting
1. The vaporiser is spitting/spurting water out of the steam vent
Common causes: Inhalant added after water. Incorrect inhalant used or too much inhalant. Water level too high or
low. Vaporiser needs cleaning.
Solution: Shake inhalant bottle well before use. Always add inhalant before water and ensure well mixed. Only use
Euky Bear or Bosisto’s inhalants (water soluble). Use no more than 2 capfuls (10mL) of inhalant. Ensure water
level is filled to the maximum fill line. Do not overfill. Clean vaporiser using Euky Bear Vaporiser Cleaning Tablets.
2. Vaporiser tripped the safety switch or blew a fuse:
Common cause: In some households safety switches are sensitive when an additional load is placed on the circuit.
Solution: Turn off the vaporiser at the power point. Switch to a power point not connected to other appliances.
Leave for 2 minutes. Switch on and reset power point to check if vaporiser is working. If not, the safety fuse in the
vaporiser may have been activated. In this case contact FGB Customer Service on details below.
3. Vaporiser producing too much steam or condensation
Common cause: The vaporiser should not operate in a closed, poorly ventilated room.
Solution: Open the door and/or window and ensure that the room has proper ventilation.
4. Vaporiser producing insufficient steam
Common cause: There is a build up of mineral deposits on and around the heating module (these are naturally
caused by the heating of water by an electrical device).
Solution: Use Cleaning Tablets every 3rd or 4th use or during every operation if you are using dam or hard water.
Failure to maintain this procedure may damage the unit. This may also void the warranty.
5. The vaporiser has stopped steaming but the light is on
Common cause: The vaporiser will stop steaming when the heating unit is no longer in contact with water, but will
remain on. The heating unit has been specifically designed to avoid overheating. The vaporiser may stay warm until it
is switched off at the power point. To help remind you to switch off the power after use, the night light will stay on also.
Solution: Always switch the power off at the power source when steaming has stopped or when not in use. Failure
to switch off your vaporiser when it is no longer steaming may void any warranty claims. After power is switched
off, remove plug from socket. To continue use, refill with water as per instruction manual.
6. The vaporiser is emitting an unusual smell
Common cause: The vaporiser has been run dry (with no water for at least an hour). NOTE: If vaporiser is still
working, this will not affect the overall effectiveness of the unit.
Solution: Rinse water container. Fill with water to the maximum fill line. Insert two Cleaning Tablets. Run vaporiser
for 1 hour to allow cleaning tablets to clean the vaporiser. Empty water (NOTE: You may notice an orange colour
in the water, this is the sediment being cleaned from the unit). Empty unit and rinse again. The vaporiser should be
ready to use again.

5Place in a safe position
Position your vaporiser on the floor at least 1.2 meters away

Ensure the room is well-ventilated so air is free to circulate
to prevent excess humidity (e.g. keep door slightly ajar).
Make sure the cord lies flat and out of the way.
For extra floor or carpet protection, place your vaporiser on a rubber mat or other heat
resistant, non-metallic barrier.
Do not place vaporiser on a table, chair or other piece of furniture
6Plug into power point
Plug into power point and switch on power. Your vaporiser will produce steam within
3-4 minutes. Ensure you have sufficient water for each use.
7 Switch off after use
Always switch off your vaporiser at the power point after use, or as soon as it has
finished steaming. Failure to switch off your vaporiser when it is no longer steaming
may void any warranty claims.
After power is switched off, unplug your vaporiser from power point for cleaning.
Night light: The safety night light ensures your vaporiser is visible at all times, and will remain on as
long as there is power. This acts as a reminder for you to switch off the power after use.
8Clean vaporiser
Cleaning your vaporiser is very important. To help keep your vaporiser clean and
germ-free, empty the water container and rinse after each use. Also rinse the base of the
unit (do not submerge power cords in water). Dry all parts thoroughly.
Do not use any cleaning products on vaporiser. Continue to use the Cleaning Tablets during
regular operation.
