Instructions of How to Disassemble
the X7 Amp Module

Tools required
PH0 Cross Screwdriver, T5 screwdriver, Tweezers (tips wrapped with masking tap),
Art Knife (blade wrapped with masking tape), Hot Air Gun

Step 1. Separate the amp module from the X7 body
Use the T5 screwdriver to remove the screws at the left/right sides of the amp module,
then separate the amp module from the X7 body

Step 2. Heat the right side of the module front cover
Set the temperature of the hot air gun to around 100 ℃, and then blow hot air to the
right side of the front cover (as marked in the above image) for 1~3 minutes
Note: the muzzle of the hot air gun should be put close to the heated spot, but not in
touch with it (suggested to keep a distance of 1~5 mm).
And the temperature should not be too high, otherwise it may cause damage to the
plastic frame inside

Step 3. Insert the tweezer tip into the module
Insert the tweezer tip slowly into the gap at
the right corner of the module (as marked
in the above image) until it’s getting
5~10mm deep
Note: Please move the tweezer tip slowly when
inserting and be careful not to make any scratches on
the front cover

Step 4. Reheat the right side of the front cover
Reheat the right side of the front cover (as marked in
the above image) with hot air gun for 30 ~ 60 seconds

Step 5. Insert the art knife blade into the module
Insert the knife blade slowly into the gap beside the
tweezer tip until it's getting 5~10mm deep. After
that take out the tweezer tip
Note: Please move the knife blade slowly when
inserting and be careful not to break the plastic
frame

Step 6. Reheat the front cover
Heat both the left and right side of the front cover (as marked in the above
image) with hot air gun for 1~3 minutes; In the mean time slowly move the
blade around 5mm deeper into the gap

Step 7. Take off the front cover
Move the blade slowly to the other side of the
module to separate the front cover from the
plastic frame
Note: If you find it difficult to move the blade, you
may try to heat the front panel with hot air gun a
longer time

Wear a pair of gloves then
take off the front cover
the front cover after taken off
