Before playing with Sam’s Ready for Action TV, clip the two feet into the back of the unit to
make it stable.
To turn the TV on and play with Fireman Sam, either press the blue wake up button on the
front of the unit or insert one of the 4 double-sided cards into the TV screen.
• If you press the wake up button and a card has already been inserted, Fireman Sam
will ask you questions about the scene on the card.
• If you press the wake up button and no card has been inserted, Fireman Sam will ask
you questions about the scene on the sticker in the unit.
Fireman Sam will ask you questions about the different scenes you insert into the TV
screen, teaching you all about colours, sounds, positions in space, observation skills and
all about his friends!
Use the character answer keys on the remote control to answer Fireman Sam’s questions.
You have three chances to answer correctly before he asks you a different question.
Press the repeat key at any time during the game and Fireman Sam will ask you the
question again.
Press the music key at any time during the game and the unit will play music from the
Fireman Sam TV series.
When you have nished playing, store cards in the slot in back of the TV, and clip remote
control onto the front.
1. This product requires 2 x AA-LR6-AM3 batteries for the unit and
2xLR44 for the RC.
2. When required, using a suitable screwdriver, undo and remove the
battery cover located under the unit.
3. Insert 2 x AA-LR6-AM3 batteries and 2x LR44 into the respective
compartments, ensuring they are installed the correct way around.
4. The polarities are marked inside the battery compartment.
5. Should the batteries have no polarity markings, the at end of the
battery should always be inserted against the spring.
6. Should the batteries have no polarity markings, the at side of the
battery should always be visible when batteries are in place.
7. Reassemble the battery cover and tighten
the screw to secure.
8. Do not over tighten.
HOW TO PLAY HOW TO CHANGE BATTERIES
• Batteries should be inserted and removed by an adult.
• Only use the type of batteries specied in this user manual, or equivalent type. We
recommend the use of alkaline batteries.
• Keep small batteries out of the reach of young children.
• Follow the polarity diagram inside the battery compartment and the polarity
markings on the batteries.
• An incorrect location may either damage the toy, or cause battery leakage, or, to
an extreme degree, lead to battery explosion.
• Do not try to charge non-rechargeable batteries, as they may leak or explode.
• Replace all batteries at the same time.
• Do not mix new with old batteries.
• Do not mix different types of batteries (i. e. alkaline and zinc carbon).
• Remove the batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted
batteries from the product. Battery leakage and corrosion can damage the
product.
• Do not short-circuit the supply terminals. Store batteries away from metal objects.
• Do not dispose of batteries in re, as they may leak or explode. Never
disassemble batteries.
• Rechargeable batteries should not be used.
• When rechargeable batteries are used anyway:
o Rechargeable batteries shall be charged only under the supervision of
an adult.
o Rechargeable batteries shall be removed from the toy before being
charged (if they can be removed).
• If a battery is swallowed, consult a Doctor or Medical Facility. Don’t forget to take
the product with you.
• If battery leakage occurs and comes in contact with the skin or eyes, wash
immediately with lots of water.
• Batteries are included for demonstration purposes only and may need replacing
after purchase.
• Strong Electro Magnetic Interference may disturb the normal function of the
product. If so, simply reset the product to resume normal operation by following
the instruction manual. In case the function does not resume, please use the
product in another location.

Turning off the unit
The unit can be turned off at any time by pressing the blue wake up button.
To preserve battery life, the unit will also turn off automatically if left idle for three minutes. To re-
activate the unit, press the wake up button.
