Preparation
% Select an area with a floor surface appropriate for quick starts,
changing of directions, and jumping movements (see Operator's
Manual for specifications on space requirements)
% Clear the activity area of all obstacles
% Setup the TRAZER at one end of the activity area
% Warm-up appropriate for the TRAZER activities to be used
Basic Setup:
% Turn on the TRAZER computer
% Turn on the video screen
% Attached fully charged beacon to correct size belt
% Fasten belt to participant with switch "OFF" and to the right
hand side
% If using heart monitor, attach properly and TRAZER will track
and report cardio-vascular results
% Turn on the Beacon
% Log-in on the computer
% Follow log on to TRAZER
% Select challenge activity test
% Select test repetitions
% Move to center calibration position to allow
system to assign center of gravity
% Listen to the starting count down
% Perform the activity
% React and move quickly left, right, forward and backward
to strike orange bumpers
% Toe raise or jump in jumping tests
% Squat to strike yellow ring
% Press "ESC" at any time to stop the activity
% Review the "performance analysis"
TRAZER Tests
% Reaction 1: tests very short hip-shifting, toe raise, and squat
movements
% Mini "T" test forward, backward, right-left direction changing,
and reaction times
% Lateral Speed: tests right vs. left movements with emphasis on
acceleration and deceleration
% Jump Fatigue: tests maximal muscle power and endurance

% Select type of movement pattern or physical activity
% Select available movement directions

% Select duration
% Select sequence
% Set Movement Scales
% Enable Center of Gravity Control
% Set Delay
% Click "Show Reports"
% Click "OKAY" to start
% React and move to orange bumpers, toe raise, squats, and
lunges (blue diamonds)
% If heart rate monitor is used, results will be tracked by
TRAZER
% Press "ESC" to stop or pause
TRAZER PERFORMANCE TRAINING GAMES
TRAP ATTACK:
Move to red disks as they appear. React and change directions
as quickly as possible while maintaining body control. Jump over
or go around trap doors that open while playing at a higher level.
JUMP EXPLOSION:
Move left and right to get under the balls as they begin to drop off
the conveyor belt above you. Jump to push balls back up or
block them from hitting the floor. Jump fast, high, and accurately
for higher scores
SPIKE DODGE:
Move, jump, and stoop to intercept balls at different levels,
heights and angles. To retrieve balls that hit the floor, get behind
them, dip low and bump them back.
GOALIE WARS:
Move left and right to keep hands between the TRAZER goalie
and your goal to block his shots. When you posses the ball,
move quickly left and right to fake out the TRAZER goalie. To
shoot, lunge forward.
FUN FUSION:
Play a series of training games.
Setup:
% Select the Performance Training Games
% Click duration and set time for play
% Select number of faults to end the game
% Set Level of play. Can select fixed to stay at a level or
progressive to advance to higher levels
% Click CG and set CG height if desired for coaching and
training
% Click "OKAY"
% Start in center position
% Play the game
% Press "ES" to stop
% Press "ENTER" to play again
% Press "OK" to return to game options
The Cardio controls and calories burn activities are the same
games but duration is to burn calories.
