Replacing lamps
Maintenance
Before any maintenance/cleaning is undertaken always disconnect the fire from the mains power supply.
(Replacement parts are available from Flamerite Fires info@flameritefires.com)
Your fire uses two types of lamps, two dimmable 240V 5W 3000k E14 LED lamps for the flame effect and three clear 10w (SES) E14 night lights for
the fuel effect. 1. To change the fuel effect lamps allow a suitable time for them to cool, simply remove that particular part of the fuel effect and
replace the lamp. 2. If changing the flame effect lamps allow suitable time for them to cool, remove fuel effect and fret by gently lifting up until
clear of runners. Be careful to avoid any unwanted scratching to the cast. Two screws will be visible; these have to be removed before lifting off
the fuel bed. Remove and replace blown lamp, replace screws, fret and fuel effect. Please note that replacement LED Lamps are only covered by
a 2 year warranty from purchase.
Changing internal Fuse
Your fire uses an internal fuse fitted at the base of the fire behind the ash pan there to protect the PCB (control board) in case of a power surge.
To gain access to the fuse, unscrew the fuse holder. The fuse is 3.15AMP with replacements available from Flamerite Fires.
Changing or matching remote frequency
If you receive a replacement remote in case of loss/damage or your remote interferers with another appliance nearby you are able to change to an
alternative frequency/address by following a simple procedure.
1. Make sure the fire is turned to standby (off, but not from the mains) and the LED on the manual keypad is lit.
2. Press and hold the heater on & heater Hi/Low buttons together for 5 seconds and the LED willflash.
3. Press the FIRE ON button on the remote control. The fire will turn on & off twice.
The procedure is now complete and the fire is once again ready foruse.
Changing battery in the remote
Your remote two batteries a CR2032 Lithium Battery and an alkaline MN21 12 Volt battery, replacements are available from Flamerite Fires
stockists, most electrical or photographic stores. Ensure battery is disposed of safely. Do not dispose of in fire, do not swallow and keep away from
children.

The fire can be cleaned with a cloth and non abrasive cleaner. Be sure not to press/rub too hard as to remove the paint. The silver parts of the cast
maybe cleaned with a product such as WD40 to maintain a shine.

Problem solving
No power to the fire: Check the wall socket, plug, fuse and lamps.
No illumination: Make sure fire is turned on. Check heater is working, if so check lamps, if not see above.
Illumination but no heat: The safety cut may have operated. See below*
Noise when illuminated: Due to moving parts, the electric fire will make a noise.
Noise from the heater when in use: The sound of rushing air is normal.
*Automatic safety cut out: The heater is fitted with an automatic cut out to prevent any damage due to overheating. The
element will continually and automatically cut out if the airflow is obstructed. Never cover the air inlets or outlets. To reset
the fire, switch the fire off, disconnect from the mains supply, remove the cause of overheating and allowed to cool for a
suitable period then switch the fire back on. Caution: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal
cut out, the appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to circuit
regularly switched on and off by a utility.
