Before using this product, read this manual and follow all Safetly Rules and Operational Instructions.
*Failure to heed these warnings may result in personal injury, blindness, loss of life and/or damage to
machineries or power pack unit.*
When working with lead acid batteries, always use eye goggle. Contact with battery acid may cause blindness
and/or severe burns.
• There is a risk of explosive gases being released when batteries are being charged or discharged. Make sure
immediate first aid assistance is available in case of accident.
• Do not expose battery to fire or intense heat as explosion may occur.
• Never allow battery clamps to touch each other or another common metal conductor – This can cause damage
to the unit and/or create dangerous sparks/ explosion hazards.
• Do not smoke or use by open flame while working on a vehicle’s battery system.
• Always disconnect the negative (Black) jumper cable first, then the positive (red) jumper cable next.
• When charging unit from a 120-volt AC electrical outlet, the outlet being used should be protected by a ground
fault interrupt (GFI) switch.
• To avoid electrical shock, do not allow the electrical cords and outlets to get wet.
• Perform jumpstart procedures only in a safe, dry, well-ventilated area.
• When using this unit close to the vehicle’s battery and engine, place the unit only on flat, stable surface, making
sure to keep all clamps, cords, clothing and body parts away from moving vehicle components.
• Keep unit out of reach of children when in storage or while in use.
• Before disposing of battery, protect terminals with heavy duty electrical tape to prevent shorting that may result
in injury or fire.
FIRST AID FOR BATTERY ACID CONTACT:
• SKIN: Rinse area of acid contact with water, then wash thoroughly with soap and water. Seek immediate
medical attention if redness, pain or irritation occurs.
• EYES: If battery acid comes in contact with eyes, flush eyes immediately for a minimum of 15 minutes then seek
medical attention.
WARNING
CAUTION: SAFETY FIRST
• Failure to follow these statements may result in damage to vehicles, appliances, and the power pack unit.
• Use only the supplied cords for recharging/operating this unit.
• Recharge the power pack immediately after each use.
• Turn switch to OFF position when unit is being charged or when not in use.
• Always switch to OFF position before connection to a power source/load.
• Never use power pack to operate appliances that draw more than 10 amps.
• This system is designed to be used only on vehicles with 12-volt DC battery systems. Do not connect to a 6-volt
or 24-volt battery system.
• Vehicles that have on-board computerized systems may be damaged if vehicle battery is jump started. Before
jumpstarting, check vehicle’s “Owner manual” to confirm external-starting assistance is advised.
• Excessive engine cranking can damage a vehicle’s starter motor. If the engine fails to start after the
recommended number of attempts. Discontinue jump start procedure and look for other problems that may
need to be corrected.
• Although this unit contains a non-spillable battery, it is recommended that unit be kept upright during storage
and usage. To avoid possible damage that may occur to the power pack – avoid direct sunlight, direct heat,
and moisture.
• Before each use, check unit for wear and tear. Replace worn or defective parts by calling our customer service
department at (800) 521-6038.
• Do not attempt to jump start a frozen battery.
• This unit will not operate appliances and equipment that produce heat, such as a hair dryers, microwave ovens,
and toasters.

IMPORTANT - BEFORE USE
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before using unit for the first time, unit must be charged for a full 26 hours. Do not exceed recommended Initial
Charge Time of 44 hours. Please recharge jump starter a minimum of every 2 months. Always recharge after use.

CORRECT PROCEDURE FOR JUMPSTARTING A VEHICLE
1. Turn ignition and all accessories such as lights,
radio, air Conditioner, OFF.
2. Make sure all switches on the Jump starter are
turned off (horizontal position for the booster
cable switch).
3. Securely connect the red (+) clamp to your
vehicle battery’s positive (+) battery terminal.
4. Connect the black (–) clamp to a non-moving
metal part of the vehicle. Do not connect to the
negative terminal.

5. Turn Switch on Jump starter to ON (horizontal)
position on side of unit.
6. Start vehicle. If vehicle does not immediately start,
wait 3 minutes before trying again (failure to
wait may damage Jump starter, vehicle’s starter
or electrical system). If vehicle does not start
after trying 3 times, check the battery status and
electrical system.
7. After vehicle starts, turn the Jump starter switch
to OFF (vertical) position. Disconnect the BLACK
Negative clamps first then the RED positive clamp.

BATTERY STATUS MONITOR
1. Before checking the battery status and to receive an accurate reading, unplug the AC or DC charging adapter
from the unit.
2. Press and hold the Battery Level Indicator Button.
3. The Battery Level Indicator LEDs will illuminate to indicate the amount of Charge remaining in the Jump starter.
Green Light: Fully Charged
Amber Light: Battery Usable
Red Light: Recharge Necessary – Do Not Use without recharge
4. When you release the button the lights will go out.
CHARGING YOUR POWER PACK PORTABLE POWER SOURCE
1. Completely charge Jump Starter before using for the first time.
2. Before recharging from an AC outlet, be sure the power source is 110-120 volts only.
3. Use only the charger unit provided with unit.
4. Keep the power on/off safety switch in the OFF position while charging.
5. Make sure that there are no 12 V DC appliances connected to the mobile booster pack during charging.
6. Charging time is approximately 48-72 hours (may vary depending upon temperature and battery condition).
FOR AC CHARGING AT HOME
Press and hold the battery level indicator button to the left of the LED lights to determine your battery level of the
power pack. Recharge when the battery level is less than 75% (Amber or Red LED lights).
1. Plug extension cord into charger plug on the back of the power pack.
2. Plug the extension cord into 120V AC source. (Electrical outlet)
3. The red LED will glow indicating the internal battery is charging.
4. The green LED will glow when the battery has reached full charge. This could take up to 72 hours depending
on the age and condition of the battery.
FOR DC CHARGING IN YOUR VEHICLE
When engine is running
1. Plug the DC charging cord into the DC charger input socket on the front panel.
2. Plug the DC charging cord into any 12V vehicle cigarette or power supply.
USIING POWER PORT OF JUMP STARTER
1. Remove the protective cover.
2. Plug in your 12-volt accessory.
3. There is a 15 amp automatic overload protection circuit breaker.
Reset the breaker by pushing the breaker button located on the back of the jump starter.

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The booster pack won't
jump start my car.
Clips are not making a good connection
to the battery.
Check for poor connection to battery and
frame. Make sure connection points are
clean. Rock clips back and forth for a better
connection.
Connections are reversed. Disconnect the booster pack and reverse
the clips.
The booster pack battery is not
charged.
Check the battery charge status by pressing
the button on the front of the booster pack.
See LED Indicators section of this manual.
The booster pack won't
power my 12V device.
The 12V devise is not turned on. Turn on the 12V device
The booster pack battery is not
charged.
Check the battery charge status by pressing
the button on the front of the booster pack.
See LED Indicators section of this manual.
The 12V device draws more than a
15A or has a short circuit.
Disconnect the 12V device and press the reset
button located on the back of the booster pack.
Try the 12V device again. If it happens again,
replace the 12V device.
The battery in the booster
pack won't hold a charge.
The battery is bad (will not accept a
charge).
Have the battery checked.
USING THE COMPESSOR
To use the compressor. Open the compartment door located on the back of the unit and pull out the air hose.
Make sure the nozzle lever is in the up position. Place the nozzle over the valve stem of the tire and press down on
the lever to lock it in position. Turn the compressor on/off switch to the “ON” position. Monitor the pressure gauge
while inflating. When desired pressure has been reached, turn compressor “OFF” and disconnect the hose.
For inflating other articles. Select the appropriate adaptor and insert it into the hose nozzle. Press lever down to
lock in place. Inflate object as above.
WARNING: Run the compressor only for 10 minutes at a time continuously, then leave it off for 10 minutes before
using again. So that the compressor can cool.
Note: For athletic balls. Moisten needle before inserting it into the ball valve. For other pneumatic articles, the
nozzle should be inserted into the valve and held tightly to insure a good seal.

Subject to the terms and conditions below, Forney Industries, Inc. of Fort Collins, Colorado warrants this
product to the original retail purchaser, to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of
one, three or five years (as specified below) from the date of sale. Within the warranty periods listed below,
Forney will replace or repair any warranted parts or components that fail due to defects in material or
workmanship. Proof of purchase is required.
For warranty service, return the product, with proof of purchase to Forney Industries, Inc., 1830 LaPorte
Avenue, Fort Collins, CO 80521 or contact customer service at 1-800-521-6038. "Advanced Replacement",
at Forney’s option, requires the product must be registered within thirty (30) days of the date of purchase.
Registration on line is available at www.forneyind.com.
Forney Industries must be notified in writing within thirty (30) days of any equipment failure that begins within
the warranty time periods. All implied warranties begin on the delivery date of the equipment to the original
retail purchaser.
1. 5 Years – Parts & Labor or Full Replacement: Transformer
2. 3 Years – Parts & Labor or Full Replacement: All components and parts inside the battery charger cover
with the exception of the transformer
3. 1 Year – Parts & Labor (90 days for industrial use): All components and parts outside the battery charger
cover, Included but not limited to cables, clamps. Switches, wheels and axle are not covered.
4. Consumable components that fail due to normal wear are not covered under this warranty.
5. Equipment that has been modified or changed by any one other that Forney Industries or their authorized
repair station, or equipment that has been improperly installed or operated or misused based on industry
standards, or equipment that has not had reasonable and necessary maintenance or equipment which has
been used for purposes outside of the specifications or the original intended use is not covered by this warranty.
Forney makes no other warranties, including warranty for any accessories used with this product that are
not manufactured by Forney Industries and/or approved for use with this product. This ‘Limited Warranty” is
void if the product is misused, subjected to abuse or is repaired or modified by anyone other than Forney or
its authorized repair station. It is the purchaser’s obligation to read and follow the instructions provided in the
owner’s manual. Using this product in any other way than its original intended use will void the warranty.
