2 Safety and operation
• Comply with the maintenance and inspection inter-
vals.
• Staff should be instructed in operating the system,
and records kept of such instructions.
• Ensure that the shelving is used in accordance with
the operating instructions as misuse could be harm-
ful to users and / or damage the system.
• The shelving system has been designed in accor-
dance with the accepted international safety regula-
tions.
2.1 Safety standards and norms
The shelving system complies with the following stan-
dards and safety regulations:
DGUV Regel 108 – 007
Lagereinrichtungen und Geräte (Storage
facilities and equipment), updated version of
9/2006
RAL-RG 614/1
Gütesicherung Lager- und Betriebseinrichtungen
(Quality assurance for storage and operating
equipment)
• Monitoring Agreement NR 12 7858 12 - 4 with the
material testing office of NRW
2.2 Operation
The system will be loaded/unloaded by hand.
Do not store anything on the top cover shelves.
Use ladders to place or remove anything from the
upper shelves. Please note that ladders must not be
leaned on the shelving system.
Do not step on the shelving.

3 Installation
3.1 Stability
• The floor fixture may only be omitted if a wall fixture will
be used.
• Static shelving systems with pull-out interior equipment
or hinged doors ALWAYS have to be fixed.

It is recommended to distribute the load as equally as
possible (loading and unloading).
• Please note the maximum permissible loads as specified in the enclosed data sheet for your system and the type
plate on your system.
2.3 Stored goods
• Ensure that the stored goods (small parts, boxes, files, stacks, etc.) are stored safely. Loose parts, bulk goods,
liquids, etc. must be placed in suitable boxes or bottles that will safely retain their contents.
Caution: loose or odd shaped items can topple and cause injury.
We offer customised solutions for the safe storage of your goods.
• For the storage of high-risk materials comply with the storage instructions as specified in the safety data sheet from
the manufacturer.

3.2 Load index
• The permissible shelf loads and shelf bay loads
must not be exceeded (tested statical calculation).
It must be ensured that the floor can safely support
the loads from the shelves.
3.3 Shelves – Types and Loads
Shelves Type S can be used from 292 mm shelf-
depth.
Shelves with higher load capacity on request.

4 Maintenance and servicing
Maintenance
• Systems are designed to be free of maintenance
and should require only a periodic service check
providing they are operated in accordance with the
users instructions.
Cleaning
• The system must be cleaned regularly by trained
personnel only.
• Clean the system using a damp cloth. Add a mild
detergent (citrus-based) when necessary, but do not
use any etchants, acids or strong chemicals. Under
no circumstances should any sharp implements or
abrasive cleaners be used.
• Use only mild soapy water to clean plastic parts,
seals, transparent protective covers.
