Manual for Joystick BT-1
As a joy stick for primary users, ST-2 has 8 channels(3proportional & 5 on-off button/trigger) . In
addition to the three main channels, another five offer other functions including turning, on & off,
and revert.
1.Explanation
Any bottoms and control stick are mapping with particular channels. (See picture below) For
example, the control stick left and right is mapping with channel 1, and spin move is mapping with
channel 4. However, the out-put channels on joy stick are programmable. The cooperation of
channels on joy stick and servos is set on the System1.5 controlling board. You can set the first
channel on servos by moving joy stick left and right, or by moving joy stick forward and backward;
first channel on servos control Ailerons, which can also be controlled by other channels. More detail
programing; please refer to the manual of System1.5.

2. Operation Details
2.1 BT-1 Channel 1:
This is a proportional channel. The left and right move on joy stick can proportional controls the
left-right move on servos. Different servos might move differently from what you can see below:
2.2 BT-1 Channel 2:
This is a proportional channel. The forward and backward move on joy stick can proportional
controls the left-right move on servos. Different servos might move differently from what you can see
below:
2.3 BT-1 Channel 3:
This is a proportional channel. The up and down move on joy stick can proportional controls the
left-right move on servos. Different servos might move differently from what you can see below:
2.4 BT-1 Channel 4:
This is an on-off channel. The trigger on joy stick controls the left-right move to end on servos.

2.5 BT-1 Channel 5:
This is an on-off button. The button on joy stick controls the left-right move to end on servos.
Different servos might move differently from what you can see below:
2.6 BT-1 Channel 6:
This is an on-off channel. The a & b button on the left and right of joy stick controls the left-right
move to end on servos. Loose the button the servo will move back to its neutral position. Different
servos might move differently from what you can see below:
2.7 BT-1 Channel 7:
This is a proportional channel. The a & b button on joy stick controls the left-right move on
servos. One press will make the servo move one step further until reaching its end position; one
press on c button will make the servo move back to its neutral position. Different servos might move
differently from what you can see below:
2.8 BT-1 Channel 8:
This is an on-off channel. The trigger in the front controls the left-right move on servos. Different
servos might move differently from what you can see below:

3. Advanced settings:
On BT-1, users can set channels by preference. Please refer to the buttons in colors below:
3.1 Reverse settings:
1. Unplug the System1.5 control board, press button 2(without connecting to BT-1)
2. Put the plug of BT-1 into the System1.5 board.
3. After hearing the beep sound, loose the button and you will hear a second beep.
Then users can start reverse setting:
Push button 1,when hear a beep sound,BT-1 output channel 1 is in normal operation,push
button 1 again to reverse.
Push button 2,when hear a beep sound,BT-1 output channel 2 is in normal operation,push
button 2 again to reverse.
Push button 3,when hear a beep sound,BT-1 output channel 3 is in normal operation,push
button3 again to reverse.
Push button 4,when hear a beep sound,BT-1 output channel 4 is in normal operation,push
button4 again to reverse.

Push button 5,when hear a beep sound,BT-1 output channel 5 is in normal operation,push
button5 again to reverse.
Push button 6,when hear a beep sound,BT-1 output channel 6is in normal operation,push
button6 again to reverse.
Push button 7,when hear a beep sound,BT-1 output channel 7 is in normal operation,push
button7 again to reverse.
Push button 8,when hear a beep sound,BT-1 output channel 8 is in normal operation,push
button8 again to reverse.
Return to original settings:
1. Plug off BT-1
2. Put the plug back into System 1.5

3.2 Subtrim:
1. Constant press on button 2(without connecting to BT-1)
2. Put the plug on BT-1 into the System1.5 board.
3. After hearing the beep sound, loose the button and you will hear a second beep.
4. Start subtrim function
With button 1& 2, users can subtrim for channel 1.
Button 1 and button 2 are for left and right subtrim on channel 1.Different servos might move
differently according to different servo settings(in3.1).
Button 3 and button 4 are for left and right subtrim on channel 2 .Different servos might move
differently according to different servo settings(in3.1).
Button 5 and button 6 are for left and right subtrim on channel 3.Different servos might move
differently according to different servo settings(in3.1).
Button 7 and button 8 are for left and right subtrim on channel 7.Different servos might move
differently according to different servo settings(in3.1).
To prevent false operation, only constant push on buttons works for subtrim. Also, users can
hear constant beep sound.
When finishing subtrimmimg, plug off BT-1 and plug it back to System1.5.
