
Congratulations on the purchase of your Freelap LED Display! This device
has been designed to be convenient and simple to use. In this guide you will
find all the information about how it works.

USE OF YOUR LED DISPLAY

PREREQUISITES
Your LED Display is part of the Freelap system. In order to make it work
you must :
- Turn on and place the Freelap transmitters on your track
- Attach the transponders to the athletes
(consult the corresponding user manuals for more details).
TURN ON YOUR DEVICE AND DISPLAY DATA
• Press the "ON/OFF" button to turn on the screen.
• Your LED Display uses broadcast communication. This means that your
BLE devices automatically transmit the data. No manipulation is required.
• When an athlete crosses the detection field of a finish transmitter, the
corresponding athlete's ID and his time are displayed on the screen.
The data is displayed until the next athlete passes.
• After 5 minutes of inactivity, the Freelap logo is displayed.
• If you use multiple LED Displays, the data of all your Freelap BLE devices
will be transmitted to all your LED Displays in the same way.
• If you want to associate a Freelap BLE device with a single LED Display,
make this setting (pairing) from your Freelap Device Manager applica-
tion (see the corresponding user manual).
PLACE YOUR LED DISPLAY
• Screw the screen onto its tripod (supplied).
• Place your LED Display on the ground, after
the finish transmitter at a distance of 50
meters maximum.
BUTTON AND PORTS
OF YOUR LED DISPLAY
1. ON/OFF Button : to turn on/off
the device / button turns red to
indicate when the battery is low.
2. CHG Port : to charge the device.
3. USB Port : allows connection to a
computeur for firmware update or
configuration with FDM software
(Freelap Device Manager).
/!\ Placing the device at any other
location may result in non-detection.
YOUR LED DISPLAY
Your LED Display displays the ID or name and the lap time of the athlete
who crossed the finish transmitter.
Visible at 50 meters, it lets both coaches, athletes and the public view
the results of the race in real time.
The LED Display is compatible with the FxChip BLE transponder and the
Relay Coach BLE. Times are automatically transmitted by your FxChip BLE
transponder or your Relay Coach BLE and instantly displayed on the
screen via Bluetooth.
The screen comes with tripod, charger and padded carrying case. UPDATE AND SETTINGS
> UPDATES :
• To update your Freelap device:
- Go to Freelap Device Manager app from your mobile device (free
download).
- OR use the Freelap Device Manager software from your computer and
connect it to your Freelap device via USB.
> SETTINGS :
• Freelap Device Manager also allows you to view information about
your device and change the settings (see corresponding user manual).
