2. Wrap padded extension around white Platform Swing rope, tuck tightly, then wrap the velcro flap around the padded
extension to hold it in place. The velcro flap should wrap completly around the padded extension so that the
“prickly” side is completly attached. Note: Sides “A” and “C” are secure in place. Ends “B” and “D” are still lying
flat.
3. To secure sides “B” and “D”, pull the velcro flap back about half way and flip up the sides (like the tailgate on a
4. truck). Now attach the flaps to the outside of sides “B” and “D”. Velcro must be attached securely!
5. Place matress inside.
The Southpaw Infant Adaption Kit is now ready to use.
MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST:
All of the following wear points should be checked on a monthly basis and recorded on the checklist enclosed.
• All seams and joints should be inspected regularly for postears. The batting is both polyethylene and urethane
foam. If teh foan becomes exposed, discontinue use until repaired.
• Hook and loop fasteners should be clean at all times to insure maximum closure strength. A stiff brush will help in
cleaning.
• If hook and loop fasteners become loose from the Infant Adaption Kit, discontinue use immediately until repaired.
STORAGE PROCEDURES:
• Store where not accessible by clients without proper supervision..
• Store out of direct sunlight.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
• Check with your infectious disease department before using these procedures.
• Check for client allergies first.
• Wipe clean with a damp cloth using soap and water or disinfectant.
• Dry before using.
SUGGESTED USES:
May be used as a crawling device when placed on floor (never use for crawling when suspended).
Crawling clients will want to gravitate towards the exposed ropes and pull on them. Use extreme care if using for this
activity.
Safety Precautions - The safety of your clients is dependent on the appropriate choice of activity to match, yet challenge their
physical abilities. Use appropriate spotting / safety techniques. In addition, the layout of your activity area, proper installation and
maintenance of your equipment is critical. Southpaw equipment is not intended for recreational or outdoor use. Under no
condition should this equipment be used without proper supervision.

♦ Check ceiling eye bolt for wear and movement. Use a Southpaw Safety Rotational Device to prevent
abnormal wear.
♦ Floor mats of proper thickness should be positioned properly under and around all suspended
equipment.
