To t ransm it ( t al k) , press the Push t o Ta l k ( PTT) button. Tr ansm it t in g 50% of t h e t im e, or less, is i m port ant because t he radio
generat es m easurable RF energy exposure only when t ran sm it t ing (in term s of m easuring st andards com plian ce) .

CTCSS/ DCS

DCS is a digit al ext ension of CTCSS.
DCS= DCS is a digital ext ension of CTCSS.I t provides ext ra,digitally coded,squelch codes that follow after the 38 CTCSS codes.
CTCSS 1 t o 38 , followed by DCS 39- 99.
VOX
