The drain hose must have a loop at a
minimum
height of 32 inches
in order to insure proper
drainage.
To remove the main circulation (circ) pump
first disconnect the wiring harness connections
located at the circ pump’s motor, remove the
two screws tha hold the motor bracket, and
remove the motor bracket by sliding it away
from the sump. The motor and pump can then
slide out of the sump.
Pump Assembly
The pump assembly is driven by a
synchronous motor. Rotation is in the
counterclockwise direction at 3600 RPM. The
motor drives a pump which supplies 100 percent
filtered water at a rate to approximately 12 GPM.
Draining is accomplished by using a small
separate synchronous drain pump mounted to
the side of the sump. The drain pump is
connected to the main pump by a small rubber
hose. The drain check valve is located at the
discharge end of the drain pump. The drain hose
is attached by a worm gear clamp to the discharge
end of the drain pump.

Notes: 1) Alwayst urn the timer knobclockwise.
2) Possibleovershooting of the detent and gear/cam position from previous operation can affect the duration of the first interval.
Drain Pump: Toenergize, turn the timer to the detent labeled HEAVY WASH. Thisfirst interval isabout 80 secondsof pump out.
Fill Valve: Turnthe timer to about 213(labeled ìWATERTESTî in figure 1). There isadetent at thispoint but there isno indication of it on the console - it isfor testing only. Thislocation isthe
start of the final rinse. The wash segment beginswith an 87 second fill. Note that the detergent dispenser isalso powered during the fill.
Float: While the fill valve isenergized (see above) raising the float should result in power being removed from the fill valve causing it to close.
Detergent Follow instructionsfor energizing the fill valve. The detergent dispenser isenergized during the next 179 seconds. During the first 87 secondsit runsalong with the fill valve, then
Dispenser: for 5 secondson runson itsown and then for 87 more secondsit runsalong with the circulation pump. The detergent door can be expected to open with 40 to 90 secondsof
dispenser power up time.
Circ Pump: Turnthe timer to the HEAVYWASH detent and then advance about 10 further. Thisi sstarting location for about 87 secondsof circ pump actuation.
Heater: WARNING! When checking that the element isgiving off heat be careful not to touch the heating element inside the tub - it will burn.To check for afailed heater remove power and
check the resistance between the two connections. Probescan be inserted in to the back side of the connectors. The heating element changesresistance with temperature but
should alwaysbe between 12 and 21 ohms.Tocheck that it isbeing energized by the timer, apply power to the unit and turn the timer to 303. Thisangular position has adetent, is
labeled HEATERTEST in figure 1 but isnot labeled on the console. The detent islocated at the beginning of an 87 second heating interval within the drying portion of the cycle. It
isfollowed by several other alternating pause and heating 87 second intervals. In all, 5 heating intervalsfollow the detent.
