installations require more time than
replacement installations.
IMPORTANT - Thedishwasher
MUST be installed to allow for future
removal from the enclosure if service
is required.

than10feetinlengthforproperdrainage.
•Thedishwashermustbefullyenclosedonthetop,sidesand
back,andmustnotsupportanypartoftheenclosure.

•Dishwashermustbeconnectedtowastelinewithanairgap
[notsupplied]or32"minimumhighdrainloop,dependingon
localcodesandordinancestopreventbackflowintothe
dishwasher.
•Airgapmustbeusedif wasteteeordisposerconnectionis
lessthan18"abovethefloortopreventsiphoning.

•Drilla1-1/2"dia.holeinthecabinetwailwithintheshaded
areasshowninFigureAforthedrainhoseconnection.Thehole
shouldbesmoothwithnosharpedges.

WARNING
FORPERSOHALSAFETY:Removehousefuse
oropencircuitbreakerbeforebeginning
installation.Donotuseanextensioncordor
adapterplugwiththisappliance.
Electrical Requirements
•Thisappliancemustbesuppliedwith120V,60Hz.,and
connectedtoanindividualproperlygroundedbranchcircuit,
protectedbya15or20amperecircuitbreakerortimedelay
fuse.
•Wiringmustbe2wirewithground.
•iftheelectricalsupplydoesnotmeettheaboverequirements,
callalicensedelectricianbeforeproceeding.
Grounding Instructions -Cable Direct
Thisappliancemustbeconnectedtoagroundedmetal,permanent
wiringsystem,or anequipmentgroundingconductormustberun
withthecircuitconductorsandbeconnectedtotheequipment
groundingterminalorleadontheappliance.
Grounding Instructions - Power Cord
Models
hisappliancemustbegrounded,intheeventofamalfunctionor
breakdown,groundingwillreducetheriskofelectricalshockby
providingapathofleastresistanceforelectriccurrent.Theplug
mustbepluggedintoanappropriateoutletthatisinstalledand
groundedinaccordancewithlocalcodesandordinances.
WARNING
Theimproperconnectionoftheequipment
groundingconductorcanresultinariskof
electricshock.Checkwithaqualified
electricianorservicerepresentativeifyou

holeedgemustbecoveredwithabushing.
•Cabledirectconnectionsmaypassthroughthesameholeasthe
drainhoseandhotwaterline,if convenient,ifcabinetwailis
metal,theholeedgemustbecoveredwithabushing.
NOTE: Powercordswithplugmustpassthroughaseparate
hole.
Electrical Connection to Dishwasher
Electricalconnectionisontherightfrontofdishwasher.
•Forcabledirectconnectionsthecablemustberoutedasshown
inFigureE.Cablemustextendaminimumof24"fromtherear
wall.
•Forpowercordconnections,installa3-pronggroundingtype
receptacle.Thepower-supplyreceptaclefortheapplianceshall
beinstalledinacabinetoronawailadjacenttothe
undercounterspaceinwhichtheapplianceistobeinstalled.

PREPARE HOT WATER LINE
•Thelinemayenterfromeitherside,rearorfloorwithinthe
shadedareashowninFigureF.
•Thelinemaypassthroughthesameholeastheelectrical
cableanddrainhose.Or,cutanadditional1-1/2"die.holeto
accommodatethewaterline.
ifpowercordwithplugisused,waterlinemustnotpass
throughpowercordhole.

Water Line Connection
•Turnoftthewatersupply.

thehotwaterinletline,usingnolessthan3/8" g.g.copper
tubing.RoutethelineasshowninFigureFandextend
forwardatleast18"fromrearwail.
•Adjustwaterheaterfor120°Fto150°Ftemperature.
•Flushwaterlinetocleanoutdebris.
•Thehotwatersupplylinepressuremustbe20-120PSi.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Locateandsetasidethepackagecontaining
2Phillipsheadcountertopmountingscrewsand
2additionaltoekickscrews[locatedintheliterature
package].
I STEP _ CHECK DOOR BALANCE
Tocheckthedoorbalance,holdthetopofthedishwasher
firmly.

•Openthedoorslowly,ifthedoordropswhenreleased,
increasespringtension.Ifthedoorcloseswhenreleased,
decreasetension.
•Pullthespringadjustmentpinoutoftheholes,insertinthe
nexthighestorlowestholeandtestagain.
•Adjustbothdoorspringstothesametension.
•Continuemovingthespringpinuntildoorisbalanced.
CAUTION:
Openingthedoorwillcausethedishwasher
totip forward.Denat apanthe dear entilyauare
readyta install the dishwasher.If
itisnecessaryto openthedoor,hold
thetopofthedishwashersecurelywith
onehandandholdthedoorwiththe
otherhand.

oranyothercomponent.

•Checktobesurethatwiresaresecureunderthedishwasher
andnotpinchedorincontactwithdoorspringsorother
dishwashercomponents.

positionedsoitisnotbuncheduporinterferingwithdoor
springs.Checkbyopeningandclosingthedoor.
•Pushdishwasherintocabinet.Thefrontcornersofthe
dishwasherdoorshouldbeflushwithcabinetdoors.Be
carefulnottodentfruntpanelswithkneesordamage

Thedrainhosemoldedendwillfit5/8", 3/4" or1"diameter
connectionsontheairgap,wasteteeordisposer.Cutonthe
markedlineasrequiredforyourinstallation.
