•When heating fat or grease, watch it closely. Fat
or grease may catch fire if allowed to become too hot,
eUse Only Dry Pot holders. Hoist or damp pot
holders on hot surfaces may result in burns from
steam. Do not let the pot holders touch hot surface
units. Do not use a towel or other bulky cloth instead of
a pot holder.
=Do Not Heat Unopened Food Containers. Buildup
of pressure may cause the container to burst and
result in injury.
= Remove the oven door from any unused
appliance if it is to be stored or discarded.
IMPORTANT
Do not attempt to operate the appliance during a
power failure. If the power fails, always turn off
the unit. If the unit is not turned off and the power
resumes, the appliance will not operate and an error
message will be displayed. Once the power resumes,
reset the clock and the oven function.
CAUTION
Electronic controllers can be damaged by cold
temperatures. When you use your appliance for
the first time, or if it has not been used for along
period of time, make sure that it has been exposed
to a temperature above 0°C/32°F for at least 3
hours before connecting it to the power supply.
IHPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING
YOUR COOKTOP
•Know which knob controls each surface heating
unit. Place pan of food on the element before turning
it on, and turn the element off before removing the
pan.
e Use Proper Pan Size=This appliance is equipped with
one or more surface burners of different sizes. Select
utensils having flat bottoms large enough to cover the
surface unit. The use of undersized utensils will expose
a portion of surface heating unit to direct contact and
may result in ignition of clothing. Proper relationship of
utensil to the surface will also improve efficiency.
• Utensil Handles Should Be Turned Inward
and Should Not Extend Over Adjacent Surface
Units--To reduce the risk of burns, ignition of
flammable materials, and spillage due to unintentional
contact with the utensil.
•Do not use Searing Grill on the cooktop--The
Searing grill is not designed for use on the cooktop.
Doing so may result in a fire.
•Never Leave Surface Units Unattended--Boilovers
cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite, or
a pan that has boiled dry may melt.
•Protective Liners--Do not use aluminum foil to line
oven bottom or any other part of the appliance. Only
use aluminum as recommended for baking if used as a
cover placed on the food. Any other used of protective
liners or aluminum foil may result in a risk of electric
shock or fire or a short circuit.
• Glazed Cooking Utensils--Only certain types of glass,
glass/ceramic, ceramic, earthenware, or other glazed
utensils are suitable for cooktop service without breaking
due to the sudden change in temperature. Check the
manufacturer's recommendations for cooktop use.
• Do Not Use Decorative Surface Burner Covers.
Ifan element is accidentally turned on, the decorative
cover will become hot and possibly melt. Burns will
occur if the hot covers are touched. Damage may also
be done to the cooktop.

USING YOUR OVEN
•Use Care When Opening Oven Door--Stand to
the side of the appliance when opening the door of a
hot appliance. Let hot air or steam escape before you
remove or replace food in the oven,
oKeep Oven Vent Ducts Unobstructed, The oven is
vented at the front above the oven door. Touching the
surfaces in this area when the oven is operating may
cause severe burns. Also, do not place plastic or heat-
sensitive items on or near the oven vent. These items
could melt or ignite,
WARNING
NEVER cover any slots, holes or passages in
the oven bottom or cover an entire rack with
materials such as aluminum foil, Doing so blocks
air flow through the oven and may cause carbon
monoxide poisoning. Aluminum foil linings may trap
heat, causing a fire hazard.
•Placement of Oven, Always place oven/Warm &
Serve Drawer (if equipped) racks in desired location
while appliance is cool. Remove all utensils from the
rack before removing rack. If rack must be moved while
oven is hot, use extreme caution. Use pot holders and
grasp the rack with both hands to reposition. Do not let
pot holders contact the hot oven element or interior of
the oven[Warm & Serve Drawer (if equipped),
•Do not use a broiler pan without its insert, Broiler
pan and grid allow dripping fat to drain and be kept
away from the high heat of the broiler.
,Do not cover the broiler grid or oven bottom
with aluminum foil, Exposed fat and grease could
ignite,
•Do not touch a hot oven light bulb with a damp
cloth. Doing so could cause the bulb to break.
Disconnect the appliance or shut off the power to the
appliance before removing and replacing the bulb,

CLEANING YOUR OVEN
•Clean the appliance regularly to keep all parts
free of grease that could catch fire. Exhaust fan
ventilation hoods and grease filters should be kept
clean. Do not allow grease to accumulate, Greasy
deposits in the fan could catch fire. Refer to the hood
manufacturer's instructions for cleaning.
oCleaners/Aerosols--Always follow the manufacturer's
recommended directions for use. Be aware that excess
residue from cleaners and aerosols may ignite causing
damage and!or injury.
• Clean in the self-cleaning cycle only the parts of
the appliance listed in this Owner's Guide, Before
using the self-cleaning cycle of the appliance, remove
all utensils stored in the appliance.
•Do not clean the oven door gasket, The door
gasket is essential for a good seal. Care should be
taken not to rub, damage or move the gasket.
•Do not use oven cleaners, No oven cleaner or oven
liner protective coating of any kind should be used in or
around any part of the appliance.
•Remove oven racks.Oven racks color will change if
left in the oven during a self-cleaning cycle.
CAUTION
The health of some birds is extremely sensitive to the
fumes given off during the self=clean cycle of any wall
oven. Move birds to another well ventilated room.

BEFORE SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS
The electronic surface element control
(ESEC)
The Electronic Surface Element Control (ESEC) feature
includes digital display windows. The ESECfeature
provides a numeric digital setting for the radiant surface
element positions on the cooktop, These settings work
the same way as normal knob setting indicators work
except the settings are displayed in digital windows.
The available ESEC display settings
The ESECcontrol provides various heat levels from Hi
(Figure 2) to Lo (Figure 5) and OFF (Figure 1), The
settings between 3.0 and 9,5 increase or decrease in
increments of ,5 (1/2). The settings between 1,2 and
3,0 are Simmer settings which decrease or increase in
increments of .2 (1/5) to Lo (Figure 5; lowest Simmer
setting) for more precise settings at lower heat levels, Use
the Recommended Surface Setting Chart to determine the
correct setting for the kind of food you are preparing.
ESEC power failure indicator message (PF)
When the range is first plugged in or when the power
supply to the range has been interrupted, the ESEC
control will display the message "PF" (Power Failure;
Figure 6). After a few seconds the "PF" message will
disappear from the display.
ESEC hot element indicator message (HE)
After using any of the single or dual radiant element
positions the cool<top will become very hot. Even after
turning the control knob to OFF,the cool<top will remain
hot for some time. The ESECcontrol monitors the
temperature of the cool<top and displays the message
"HE" (hot element) warning when the cooktop is still too
hot to touch (Figure 4). If the HE message appears in the
window, the control can still be turned ON again for use.
ESEC error indicator message (Er)
An error message will be displayed (glowing "Er") at
power up (or after a power failure) if ANY of the surface
control knobs were left in the ON positions (Figure 7).
If a power failure should occur, be sure to set all of the
surface control knobs to the OFF position. This will reset
the surface controls.
Once the surface controls have been set to the OFF
positions, the surface controls should return to normal
operation. If the surface controls do not function and
the "Er" message remains in any display after following
these procedures, contact your authorized servicer for
assistance.
ESEC Lockout Feature (- - )
The ESECfeature will not operate during a Self-Clean
cycle or when the Lockout feature is active. Whenever
the Lockout feature is active," - -" will appear in any
ESECdigital display windows (See Figure 8) to show that
all surface elements can not be activated.

BEFORE SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS
Using proper cookware
The size and type of cookware used will influence the
setting needed for best cooking results. Be sure to follow
the recommendations for using proper cookware as
illustrated in Figures i & 2.
Cookware should have fiat bottoms that make good
contact with the entire surface heating element (Figure
i). Check for flatness by rotating a ruler across the
bottom of the cookware (Figure 2).

About the ceramic glass cooktop
The ceramic cooktop has radiant surface elements
located below the surface of the glass. The design of the
ceramic cooktop outlines the area of the surface element
underneath. Be sure to match the pan size with the
diameter of the element outline on the cooktop and only
flat-bottom cookware should be used.
The type and size of cookware, the number of surface
elements in use and their settings, are all factors that
will affect the amount of heat that will spread to areas
beyond the surface elements. The areas surrounding the
elements may become hot enough to cause burns.

About the radiant surface elements
The element temperature rises gradually and evenly.
As the temperature rises, the element will glow red. To
maintain the selected setting the element will cycle on and
off. The heating element retains enough heat to provide a
uniform and consistent heat during the off cycle.
For efficient cooking, turn off the element several minutes
before cooking is complete. This will allow residual heat
to complete the cooking process.
NOTE
Radiant elements have a limiter that allows the element
to cycle ON and OFF, even at the HI setting. This
helps to prevent damage to the ceramic smooth top.
Cycling at the HI setting is normal and can occur if the
cookware istoo small for the radiant element or if the
cooleware bottom is not fiat.
Be sure to read detailed instructions for ceramic glass
cooktop cleaning in the General Care 8t Cleaning
section and Before You Call checklist section of this
Use and Care Guide.
Cookware material types
The cookware material determines how evenly and quickly
heat is transferred from the surface element to the pan
bottom. The most popular materials available are:
Aluminum- Excellent heat conductor. Some types
of food will cause it to darken (Anodized aluminum
cookware resists staining & pitting). If aluminum pans
slide across the ceramic glass cooktop, they may leave
metal marks which will resemble scratches. Remove
these marks immediately.
Copper- Excellent heat conductor but discolors easily. May
leave metal marks on ceramic glass (see Aluminum above).
Stainless steel- Slow heat conductor with uneven cooking
results. Is durable, easy to clean and resists staining.
Cast iron- A poor heat conductor however will retain
heat very well. Cooks evenly once cooking temperature is
reached. Not recommended for use on ceramic cooktops.
Porcelain-enamel on metal- Heating characteristicswill
vary depending on base material. Porcelain-enamel coating
must be smooth to avoid scratching ceramic cooktops.
Glass- Slow heat conductor. Not recommended for
ceramic cooktop surfaces because it may scratch the glass.
NOTE
Due to the high intensity of heat generated by the
surface elements, the glass surface will turn light green
when the element is turned off. This phenomenon
isnormal and the glass will come backto its original
white color after it has completely cooled down. (White
glass cooktops only).

SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS
Single radiant surface elements
The cooktop has 2 SINGLE radiant surface elements: the
left rear position and the right rear position (Figure 1),
To Operate the Single Radiant Surface Elements
1. Place correctly sized cookware on the radiant surface
element.
2. Push in and turn the surface control knob in either
direction to the desired setting (Figure 2). Start most
cooking operations on a higher setting and then turn
to a lower setting to finish cooking. Each surface
element provides a constant amount of heat at each
setting. A glowing red surface heating area extending
beyond the bottom edge of the cookware indicates
the coo_ware is too small for the surface heating
atea.
3. When cooking has completed, turn the surface
control knob to OFF before removing the cookware.
NOTE
See Recommended Setting for Surface Element table on
page 7.

wrappings on cooktop when it is in use, These
items could melt or ignite. Potholders, towels or
wooden spoons could catch fire if placed too close to
the surface elements.

cook-top. If these items melt on the cooktop they will
damage the ceramic cooktop.

SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS
Dual Surface Radiant Element
The cooktop is equipped with I or 2 dual radiant surface
elements located at the left front and the right front
position (Figure i). Symbols around the knob are used
to indicate which coil of the dual radiant element will
heat. The o symbol indicates that only the inner coil will
heat (Figure 2). The @ symbol indicates that both inner
and outer coils will heat (Figure 3). You may switch from
either coil setting at any time during cooking.
To Operate the Dual Surface Element
1. Place correctly sized cookware on the dual surface
element.
2. Push in and turn the control knob to the inner coil
symbol for smaller cookware (Figure 2) or to inner
and outer coil symbol for larger cookware (Figure 3),
Turn the knob to adjust the setting if needed. Start
most cookingoperations on a higher setting and then
turn to a lower setting to finish cooking. Each surface
element provides a constant amount of heat at each
setting, A glowing red surface heating area extending
beyond the bottom edge of the cookware indicates the

SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS
Keep warm zone
The purpose of the keep warm zone isto keep hot
cooked foods at serving temperature. Use the keep warm
feature to keep cooked foods hot such as: vegetables,
gravies, casseroles, soups, stews, breads, pastries and
oven-safe dinner plates.
Always start with hot food. It is not recommended to
heat cold food on the keep warm zone. All food placed
on the keep warm zone should be covered with a lid to
maintain quality.
For best results, when warming pastries or breads,
the cover should have an opening to allow moisture
to escape. Do not use plastic wrap to cover food.
Plastic may melt onto the surface and be very
difficult to clean. Use only plates, utensils and
cookware recommended for oven and cooktop use on the
keep warm zone,
To Set the keep warm zone control
NOTE: The controls and indicator light are located on the
control panel.
1. Touch the onooff pad (Fig. 4) at the keep warm zone
control position. The keep warm indicator light will
flash.
Note: If no further pads are touched within 25 seconds
the request to power the keep warm zone ON will clear.
2. At the keep warm controls position touch temp once
to turn ON the the warm zone at the LO (Fig. 1) power
level.
3. Each touch of temp will increase the power levels.
The keep warm zone has 3 power levels from LO (Fig.
1) through MED (Fig. 2) to Hl (Fig. 3) and backto LO.
The power level may be adjusted at any time while
the keep warm zone is ON.
4. When it is time to serve the food, touch the onooff
pad once to turn the keep warm zone OFF.The keep
warm zone indicator light will turn OFF.

CAUTION
The keep warm zone will not glow red when it is hot,
but becomes hot enough to cause burns. Avoid placing
hands on or near the keep warm zone until the keep
warm zone hot surface indicator light is OFF.Always
use potholders or oven mitts when removing food from

Keep warm zone temperature selection
Refer to the keep warm zone table for recommended
heating levels. If a particular food is not listed, start with
the medium level, and adjust as needed. Most foods can
be kept at serving temperatures by using the medium
level.

Arranging Oven Racks
ALWAYS ARRANGE OVEN PACKSWHEN THE OVEN IS

stops. Lift up front of rack and slide out.

CALITTON
Always use pot holders or oven mitts when adjusting the
oven racks. Wait until the oven has completely cooled if
possible. Oven racks may be HOT and may cause burns.
The Flat Oven Handle Rack (Figure 1) has a handle
to facilitate the sliding of the rack when large amount of
foods weight on it.
The Offset Oven Rack (Figure 2) is used to maximize
cooking space. The offset rack can be used in the lowest
rack position to roast large cuts of meat and poultry or for
specific type of cooking.

SETTING THE CLOCK
The CLOCK pad is used to set the clock. Tile clock may
be set for 12 or 24 hour time of day operation. The clock
has been preset at the factory for the 12 hour operation.
When the range is first plugged in, or when the power
supply to the range has been interrupted, the timer in the
display will flash.
To set the clock (example below for 1:30)
1. Press CLOCK, "CLO" will appear in the display.
2. Press :I.30 pads to set the time of day to 1:30, "CLO"
will stay in the display.
3. Press START, "CLO" will disappear and the clock will
start.
CHANGING BETWEEN 12 OR 24 HOURTIME
OF DAY"DISPLAY
1. Press and hold CLOCKfor 6 seconds."CLO"will appear

SETTING CONTINUOUS BAKE OR 6HOUR
ENERGY SAVING
TimeTIMER and SELF CLEAN pads control the Continuous
Bakeor 6 Hour Energy Saving features. The oven control has
a factory preset built-in 6 Hour Energy Saving feature that
will shut off the oven if the oven control isleft on for more
than 6 hours. The oven can be programmed to override this
feature for Continuous Baking.
To set the control for Continuous Bake or 6 Hour
Energy Saving features
1. Press and hotd TIMER for 6 seconds.
After 6 seconds "6Hr OFF" or "STAY On" will appear
in the display and the control will beep once.
2. PressSELF CLEAN to switch between the 6 Hour Energy
Saving and continuous bake features.
Note: "6Hr OFF" in the display indicatesthe control isset for
the 6 Hour Energy Saving mode and "STAY On" indicates
the control is set for the Continuous Bake feature.
3. PressSTARTtoacceptthechange(displaywill returnto
time of day) or press CANCEL to reject the change.
SETTING TEMPERATURE DISPLAY--
FAHRENHEIT OR CELSIUS:
TimeBROIL and SELF CLEAN pads control the Fahrenheit
or Celsius temperature display modes. The oven control can
be programmed to display temperatures in Fahrenheit or
Celsius. The oven has been preset at the factory to display
in Fahrenheit.
To change display from Fahrenheit to Celsius or
Celsius to Fahrenheit
1. Totell ifthe display isset for Fahrenheit or Celsius press
BROIL and hold it for 6 seconds; "550 °" will appear
and "BROIL" will flash in the display and a beep will
sound. If"FAhrnht" appears, the display is set to show
temperatures in Fahrenheit. If"CELSIUS" appears, the
display is set to show temperatures in Celsius.
2. Press SELF GLEAN to switch between Fahrenheit or
Celsius display modes. The display will show either
"FAhrnht _'or "CELSIUS".
3. Press START to accept the change or press CANCEL
to reject the change.
SETTING SILENT CONTROL OPERATION
The DELAY START and SELF CLEAN pads control the
Silent Control operation feature. The Silent Control operation
feature allows the oven control to be operated without
sounds or beeps whenever necessary. If desired the control
can be programmed for silent operation and later returned
to operating with all the normal sounds and beeps.
To change control from normal sound operation to
silent control operation
1. Totell ifyour range isset for normal or silent operation
press and hold DELAY START." .... "will appear and
"DELAY" will flash inthe d isplay. After 6 seconds"bE EP
On" or "bEEP OFF" will appear in the display.
2. Press SELF CLEAN to switch between normal sound
operation and silent operation mode. The display will
show either "bEEP On" or "bEEP OFF".
Note: If"bEEP On" appears, the control will operate with
normal sounds and beeps. If "bEEP OFF" appears, the
control is in the silent operation mode.
3. Press START to accept the change or press CANCEL
to reject the change.
Note: The control will always beep at the end of a minute
timer and will beep when aset temperature hasbeen reached,
even if the control is set to silent operation.

SETTING TIMER
The TIMER ON.OFF pad controlsthe Timer feature,The
Timer servesasan extratimerinthe kitchenthatwillbeep
when the settime has run out.Itdoes not startor stop
cooking.The Timer featurecan be used during any of
the otheroven controlfunctions.Referto"Minimum and
Maximum ControlPad Settings"fortimeamount settings.
To set the Timer (example for 5 minutes)
1. Press TIMER ON.OFF. ".... " will appear in the
display.
2. Use the number pads to set the desired time in the
display; press 5.
3. Press START. The time will begin to count down with
"5:OO" in the display.
Note: If START is not pressed the timer will return to the
time of day after 25 seconds.
4. When the set time has run out, "End" will show in
the display. The clock will sound with 3 beeps ever'/5
seconds until TIMER ON-OFF is pressed.
To cancel the Timer before the set time has run
out
1.PressTIMER ON-OFF. The displaywillreturntothetime
ofday.
SETTING + i MIN FEATURE
The + I MIN pad isusedtosettheAdd I Minutefeature,
When the + I MIN pad ispressed,i minuteisadded tothe
Timer featureifthisfeatureisalreadyactive.IftheTimer
featureisnotactiveand the + % MIN pad ispressed,the

SETTING LOCKOUT FEATURE
The _ pad controls the Lockout feature. The Lockout
feature automatically locks the oven doors, the control
panel and the cooktop. It does not disable the Minute
Timer or the interior oven lights.

After 3 seconds "Loc" and "Control" will appear, a
beep will sound, "UPPER", "LOWER" and "DOOR" will
flash in the display. Once the oven door is locked the

the "Loc", "Control" and the I_I icon will appear.
To reactivate normal operation:
1. Press and hold _ for 3 seconds. A beep will sound.
The "UPPER", "LOWER" and "DOOR" will flash in the
display until the oven door has completely unlocked and
the i_l iconwill disappear.
2. The unit is again fully operational.
NOTE
The surface elements cannot be activated when the
Lockout feature isactive (see the section: The electro nic
surface element control (ESEC)).

SETTING QUICK PREHEAT
Use the quick preheat feature when using single rack
baking to quickly heat the oven to bake temperatures. Use
this feature only for standard baking. A reminder tone will
sound indicating when to place the food in the oven.
When the oven is finished preheating quick preheat will
become just like the bake feature and continue to bake
until cancelled.
To set the quick preheat with an oven temperature
of 375°F
1. Arrange the interior oven racks.
2. Press UPPER or LOWER to select oven.
3. PressQUICK PREHEAT. "350" will appear inthe display.
If a preheat of 350°F isneeded, press START.
4. Press3 7 5.
5. Press START. _'PRE" will be displayed while the oven is
preheating.
NOTE
While in preheat mode, the convection fan (upper oven
only) will be activated during the first rise of temperature
to allow the oven to reach its target temperature faster.
The Bake, Broil and Convection (upper oven only)elements
will also cycle for a better heat distribution.
SETTING BAKE
The BAKE pad controls normal baking. If a rapid preheating
is preferred, refer to the QUICK PREHEAT feature for
instructions. The oven can be programmed to bake at any
temperature from 170°F to 550°F.
Baking Tips:
- Preheat your oven before using the bake mode.
• During preheat, the bake, broil elements and the
convection fan and element (upper oven only) are used
in cycle to quickly heat the oven.
, Use only one rack and center the pans as much as
possible with racks in position 2 or 3.
- If using two racks, place time oven racks in positions 2
and 3.
, Allow 2" to 4" (5,1 to I0,2cm) around the utensil(s) for
proper air circulation.
• Be sure the pans do not touch each other, the door,
sides or back of the oven.
To set the Bake Temperature to 375°F
1. Arrange the interior oven racks.
2. Press UPPER or LOWER to select oven.
3. Press BAKE,"350" will appear in the display. If a bake
of 350°F is needed, press START.
4. Press 3 7 5.
5. Press START. Timeactual temperaturewill be displayed.

SETTING CONVECTION BAKE (upper oven
only)
This mode of cooking enables you to obtain the best culinary
results when baking with multiple pans and racks. Multiple
rack baking may slightly increase cook time for some foods
but the overall result is time saved. Some food may cook
faster and more evenly with Convection Bake, Convection
baking uses the three elements and a fan to circulate
the oven's heat evenly and continuously within the oven.
The oven can be programmed for Convection baking at
any temperature bet_een 170°F to 550°F with a default
temperature of 350°E
Convection Baking Tips:
•Always preheatyour oven beforeusingthe Convection
Bake mode.
• During preheat, the 3 elements and the convection fan
are used in cycle to quickly heat the oven.
, If your recipe cooking temperature has already been
converted for convection baking there is no need to
reduce your oven temperature. If your recipe has not
had the temperature converted for convection baking
you can easily reduce using the Convec Convert feature.
Please see Convec Convert section on next page for
further instruction on temperature conversion.
• Use tested recipes with times adjusted for convection
baking when using this mode. Time reductions will
vary depending on the amount and type of food to be
cooked.
• When usingConvectionBake witha singlerack,place

SETTING CONVEC CONVERT (upper oven
only)
The Convec Convert pad is used to automatically convert
a standard baking recipe for convection baking. When
set properly, this feature is designed to display the actual
converted (reduced) temperature in the display. Convection
Convertion may ONLY be used with a Convection Bake
cooking mode. It can be used with the features Delay
Start and Bake Time (see their sections for directions). If
convection conversion is used with the Bake Time and Delay
Start features, "CF" (check food) will be displayed when
75% of the bake time complete. At this time the oven control
will sound 3 long beeps at regular intervals until baking had
finished. When the bake time has completely finished the
control will display"End" and will sound 3 long beeps every
30 seconds until STOP pad is pressed.
NOTE
To use this feature with the BAKE TIHE option, the
BAKE TIHE pad must be pressed before the CONVEC
CONVERT pad.
To set the oven for Convection Bake with astandard
baking recipe temperature of 400°F:
1. Arrange interior oven racks,
2. Press UPPER to select oven.
3. Press CONMEC, "CONVECT" and "BAKE" will flash
and "350" will appear in the display.
4. Press4 00. "CONVECT" and "BAKE"willkeepflashing
and "400 °" will appear in the display.
5. Press CONVEC CONVERT. As soon as the convection
convert pad is pressed, the oven will start heating. The
temperature displayed will be 25°F lower than what it
used to be. The actual oven temperature and the fan
icon will be displayed. A beep will sound once the oven
temperature reaches 375°F and the display will show
,, o,, "BAKE"
375 ,"CONVECT", and the fan icon.
5. Placefood inthe oven.
NOTE
When using a BakeTime under 20 minutes, the Convection
Convert will not beep and display the "CF" message.
NOTE
The lower oven is not equipped with a convection fan &
element. All the associated convection cooking features
will not be available in this oven.
SETTING CONVECTION ROAST (upper
oven only)
This mode is best for cooking tender cuts of beef, lamb, park
and poultry. Use this mode when cooking speed is desired.
The Convection Roasting gently browns the exterior and
seals in the juices. Convection roasting uses the hidden
bake element, the hidden convection element, the broil
element and a fan to circulate the oven's heat evenly and
continuously within the oven. The oven can be programmed
for Convection Roasting at any temperature between 170°F
to 550°F with a default temperature of 350°F.
Convection Roasting Tips:
• Use a broiler pan and grid, and a roasting rack (available
by mail order). The broiler pan will catch grease spills
and the grid will help prevent spatters. The roasting rack
will hold the meat.
• Place an oven rack on rack position I (offset rack).
• No preheat is needed in convection roast.
• Make sure the roasting rack is securely seated on the
grid in the broiler pan. The roasting rack fits on the grid
allowing the heated airto circulate under the food for even
cooking and helps to increase browning on the underside
(available by mail order only).
• There isno need to reduce the convection temperature or
to use the Convection Convert feature with this cooking
mode.
• DO NOT use the broiler pan without the grid or cover
the grid with aluminum foil (available by mail order).
• Always pull the rack out to the stop position before
removing food.
• Position food (fat side up) on the roasting rack.
To set a Convection Roast Temperature of 375°F:
1. Arrange oven racks and place food in the oven.
2. Press UPPER to select oven.
3. PressCONVECT; "350"wili be displayed; "CONVECT"
and "BAKE" will flash.
4. Press CONVECT again; "350" will be displayed;
"CONVECT" and "ROAST" will flash.
5. Enterthe desired roasting temperature using the number
pads 3 7 5.
6. Press START; The actual oven temperature will be
displayed, "CONVECT'; "ROAST" and the fan iconwill
be displayed. The Bake, Broil and Convection elements
will also cycle for a better heat distribution.
NOTE
Pressing CANCEL will stop the feature at any time.

SETTING BAKE TIME
Bake Time allows the oven to be set to cook for a specific
length of time and shut off automatically.
The oven will shut off and will beep when the countdown
isfinished. This feature can be used with Bake, Convection
Bake, Convection Roast, Pizza and Nuggets cooking
modes.
To program the oven to begin baking immediately
and to shut off automatically (example: BAKE at
350°F for 30 minutes):
1. Be suretheclockissetforthe correcttimeofday.
2, Arrangeinterioroven rack(s)and placethe food inthe
oven,
3, Press UPPER or LOWER to select oven,
4, Press BAKE, "350" will appear in the display.
5. Press START. The actual oven temperature will appear
in the display.
6, Press BAKE TIHE. " .... "will appear inthe display.
7. Enter the desired baking time by pressing 30.
8. PressSTART. Once the Timed Bake feature has started,
the current time of day will appear in the display.
NOTE
Baking time can be set for any amount of time between
I minute to 6 hours. The time remaining can be shown in
the timer section of the display by pressing BAKE TIME
at any moment of the cooking. Once BakeTime hasstarted
baking, abeep will sound when the oventemperature reaches
the set temperature.
Press CANCEL when baking has finished or at any time to
cancel the Timed Bake feature. A Bake Time of"0" minute
can also be entered to cancel the Bake Time feature and
keep the oven in its current cooking mode.
When the timed bake finishes:
I. "End" and the time of day will show in display. The
oven will shut off automatically.
2. The control will beep 3 times. The control will continue
to beep 3 times every 30 seconds until CANCEL is
pressed.
SETTING DELAY START
The BAKE, CONVECT BAKE, BAKE TIiVlE and DELAY
START pads control the Delayed Time Bake feature. The
automatic timer of the Delayed Time Bake will turn the oven
on and off at the time you select in advance.
NOTE
If your clock is set for normal 12 hour display mode the
Delayed Timed Bake or Delayed Timed Convection Bake
cycle can never be set to start more than 12 hours in
advance. To set for Delayed Timed Bake or Delayed Timed
Convection Bake 12-24 hours in advance set the control
for the 24 hour time of day display mode.
To program the oven for a delayed BAKE start time
(e_ample: baking at 375°F, starting at 5:30):
1. Be sure that the clock isset with the correct time of day.
2. Arrange interior oven rack and place the food in the oven.
3. Press UPPER or LOWER to select oven.
4. Press BAKE. "350" will appear in the display.
5. Enter the desired temperature; pressing 3 7 5.
6. Press START. The actual oven temperature will appear
in the display.
7. Press DELAY START.
8. Enter the desired start time; pressing 5 3 O.
9. Press START. When Delayed Time Bake starts, the set
oven temperature will appear, "DELAY", "BAKE" and the
current time of day will appear in the display.
NOTE
If it isdesired to have the oven shut off automatically after
a set time; enter a BAKE TIME at this step.
10. When the desired start time is reached, the actual
oven temperature appears in display and "DELAY"
disappears. Oven starts to bake at the previously selected
temperature.
Press CANCEL when baking has completed or at any time
to cancel the Delayed Time Bake feature.
CAUTION
Use caution with the DELAY START featu res. Use the automatic timer when cookingcured or frozen meats and most fruits
and vegetables. Foods that can easily spoil such as milk, eggs, fish, meat or poultry, should be chilled inthe refrigerator
first. Even when chilled, they should not stand in the oven for more than 1 hour before cooking begins, and should be
removed promptly when cooking is completed. Eating spoiled food can result in sickness from food poisoning.
