WARNING Always keep in mind to wear suitable clothing for work,
such as non-slip shoes and winter gloves.
Wearing towels around the head, neck, or waist
is prohibited.

are not baggy. Wear non-slip boots and winter gloves.

Do not lubricate or refuel while the engine is running or
while the engine is still hot.

Add fuel outdoors. Be sure to stop the engine and
make sure the engine has cooled sufficiently to handle

Connect the positive (+) side first when connecting
battery. Disconnect the negative (-) side first when
disconnecting battery.

Do not connect the positive (+) side of the battery
terminal with the negative (-) side.

When exchanging battery, be sure to use a battery
of the capacity specified in this manual.

WARNING Remove debris from muffler and engine.
Check if there is debris or fuel adhering to muffler
and engine before work. Remove if debris or fuel is
adhering.

WARNING Carry out inspection and service in a flat and stable area.

area where there is no danger of traffic nor risk of
machine falling or moving around.

they will not move or come off truck carrier when
loading and unloading the machine on and from
a truck.

When loading and unloading the machine on and from
a truck, stop the engine and set the transmission
at "Parking", "1 Low" or "Reverse", engage
parking brake, and put wheel chocks in place.

unloading the machine.

ground auger housing on the truck, disengage work
clutch, and securely fix the machine to the truck
carrier with strong rope.

Never set change lever at "N.Neutral" nor operate

Be very careful on slippery surfaces such as frozen
road. Move the machine at low speed.

stepping away from the machine.
When stepping away from the machine, place it in a flat
and stable place, lower auger housing to the ground,
disengage travel clutch and work clutch, stop the
engine, and remove engine key.

when working at night and when snow falls.
Make sure to turn on head light and work light when

WARNING Stop the engine when exchanging shear bolt.
Disengage travel clutch and work clutch, stop the
engine, and make sure auger and blower have stopped
their operation completely before exchanging shear bolt.

The machine may move, or auger and blower may
rotate causing serious accident.
DANGER Auger is dangerous while it is rotating. Stay away!
Never let anyone come close to auger housing. Pay
attention to safety of the surroundings when work
clutch is set at "On" or auger is rotating.

Failure to comply may result in getting caught
in auger causing injury.
WARNING Speeding and sudden acceleration, stopping, turning are prohibited.
Make sure the surrounding area is safe. Accelerate,
stop, or turn the machine slowly. Reduce the speed
sufficiently when traveling over slope, bumpy roads,
or roads with many curves.

Failure to comply may cause machine damage and
accident.
WARNING Immediately stop the engine when abnormality of the machine
is found.
Stop the engine immediately if you notice foreign objects
caught in the machine or abnormal vibration,
sounds, and smell. Carry out inspection after heating
parts have cooled down, and rotating parts have stopped
moving. Stop using the machine until repair is done
if any abnormality is found.

WARNING Never bring hands, feet and face close to the rotating parts.
Never bring hands, feet and face close to the rotating
parts nor look into chute.

parts or accident. Unexpected accident may be caused by
scattered objects.

Do not travel nor remove snow near fire.

of fuel or oil.
WARNING Pay attention to the shoulder of road while moving the machine.
If there are ditches or slope around the road, pay
attention to the shoulder.

WARNING Be sure to disengage work clutch and raise auger housing when
moving the machine.
Be sure to set work clutch at "Off"
and raise auger housing when transporting the
machine.

causing unexpected accident.
WARNING Do not activate work clutch except for snow removal work.
Do not set work clutch at "On" except for
snow removal work or inspection.

DANGER Cover the machine with sheet cover only after the machine
has sufficiently cooled down.
When covering the machine with sheet cover or
storing the machine indoors, make sure heating parts
have cooled sufficiently.

Failure to comply may result in fire.
WARNING Remove fuel and detach battery before long-term storage.
When storing the machine for long-term period,
remove fuel from fuel tank and carburetor,
and disconnect and detach battery.

Failure to comply may result in fuel deterioration
causing engine failure or fire.
DANGER Stop the engine when cleaning or inspecting the machine.
Be sure to stop the engine when inspecting or
cleaning the machine after work. Disengage travel and
work clutches, make sure each part has stopped
moving completely. Make sure heating parts have
cooled down.

Failure to comply may result in getting caught in the
rotating parts causing serious injury.
CAUTION Have regular inspection and service.
Have yearly periodic inspection and carry out
service on each part. In particular, exchange
fuel pipe every 2 years.

■SAFETY LABEL
●Safety labels are attached on the machine for safe work. Check them carefully and be sure
to follow the instructions.
●In case mud is on the labels, wipe it completely so that the labels are always visible.
●In case the labels are damaged, lost, or difficult to understand, replace them with new labels.
●When replacing parts to which safety labels are attached, contact your dealer and order
the labels also.
●When ordering safety labels, refer to "Location and meaning" below, and tell your dealer the
code and quantity of necessary label.
●If high pressured water is sprayed over the labels, they may fall off. Do not spray the labels
with high pressured water.
■LOCATION AND MEANINGS

in "Engine manual". Read it well.
A. WARNING! Pay attention to safety.
B. WARNING! Read the operation manual carefully.
C. DANGER! When carrying out service, stop the engine and remove engine key.
D. DANGER! When the engine is running, do not look into auger. Keep hands and feet away from auger.
Failure to comply may result in getting caught in the machine and death.
E. DANGER! When removing snow from auger, be sure to stop the engine, and use installed unclogging stick.
Failure to comply may result in getting caught in the machine and death.
F. DANGER! Be sure to attach the covers to correct positions. Using the machine without covers may result in injury.
G. WARNING! Be careful of exhaust fumes. Exhaust fumes contain poisonous gas which may cause death.
H. DANGER! Start moving the machine slowly. Before starting, be sure to check the safety in traveling direction,
and then, set travel clutch at "On" position. Failure to comply may result in death.
I. DANGER! Do not stop the machine on slope. Do not set change lever at "Neutral" position on slope or
when loading/unloading the machine on a truck. The machine may slip down, and injury may occur.
J. WARNING! Do not turn chute toward people and buildings during work. Scattered objects may cause injury and
damage.
K. DANGER! Keep people away from the machine during work.
L. CAUTION! Do not open or remove safety shields while engine is running.
