INPUT JACK (#1 above): Connect a MONO 1/4” cable (from your Guitar) into this jack. Always use good quality sheilded cables with solder-type connectors.
Never use TRS (stereo) cables.
TRANSISTOR GAIN TRIMMER (#19) is factory-set to the appropriate Bias so there is no need to adjust it. Turning this Trimmer CW will increase gain and thicken
up the wah effect as well as increase Bass response a bit, but going too high is not advised because at some point you will lose definition as well as Wah
performance.
STATUS L.E.D. (#2) is lit bright red when the Wah is turned ON and unlit (clear/white) when the pedal is turned OFF
INPUT LEVEL KNOB (#3) is not a volume control. Instead it adjusts the signal level entering the Wah circuit. Rotate this knob Clockwise (CW) to increase signal
entering the pedal and to overdrive the Wah circuit. Turn this knob Counter-Clockwise (CCW) to reduce distortion caused by high-output pickups or for a cleaner
sound without break-up.
5-POSITION ROTARY MODE SWITCH (#4):
Position 1 SUB is reminiscent of a setting on the old 1970s Foxx Fuzz/Wah pedals with very deep Bass...almost synth-like, great for Bass too.
Position 2 WACKED is reminiscent of the old Colorsound Wahs....more of a “wow” sound with deep bass response.
Position 3 PHAT is the perfect range for distorted guitar! It doesn’t get any thicker than this.
Position 4 JIMI is our recreation of the late ‘60s Vox Clyde McCoy Wah sound as used by Hendrix and Eric Clapton.
Position 5 SHAFT shifts the whole range up a little to capture the ‘70s sounds heard on all those funk classics and cheesy movie soundtracks.
The TREADLE (#6) is like a gas pedal. When you rock forward the treble increases, when you rock backward, the treble decreases.
REAR BUMPER (#8) is what the treadle rests on when it is rocked back fully to heel position.
The ON/OFF SWITCH (#9 is located at the front of the pedal. Turn the pedal ON by rocking the treadle fully-forward then putting your weight into it until you feel a
“click.” The LED will light bright red, indicating that the pedal is switched ON. Repeat to turn the pedal OFF. When the the pedal is OFF none of the pedal’s
features (including the buffer) are active. We incorporate True-Bypass switching (with Millennium LED activation) in our Wah pedals for the least amount of signal
degradation when the pedal is OFF.
TREADLE RACK (#10) is the straight black plastic part (with teeth) that rotates the gear (located on the wah-pot inside the pedal) to make the “Wah” sound.
FRONT BUMPERS x 2 (#11) cushion the treadle when it is rocked all the way forward and while turning the pedal ON and OFF.
BOTTOM-PLATE (#12): To open up the pedal, remove 4 Rubber Feet (#5) by using a phillips-head screwdriver and turning the screws CCW.
Warning! There is a cable connecting the bottom-plate to the housing, so remove the bottom-plate and set it off to one side, making sure that this cable does not
hang up on anything inside the pedal. This Ground-Strap Cable helps eliminate a tremendous amount of hum by creating complete continuity between the steel
housing and the steel bottom-plate. To reassemble the pedal, reinstall the screws and re-tighten the screws by turning them CW. Do not overtighten beyond the
point where the feet stop rotating or appear to be squashed down.
BATTERY: To access the 9 volt battery, Remove the bottom plate, replace the battery, and re-install the bottom-plate.

OUTPUT JACK (#16): Connect a MONO 1/4” shielded guitar cable going to other effects and/or your amplifier.
The TREADLE ADJUSTMENT NUT (#17 above, and #7 on Previous Page) determines how much pressure it takes to rock the Treadle backward and forward. If
you find that the treadle feels loose and doesn’t stay in a fixed position, use a pair of 11mm open-end wrenches to tighten the nut by holding one of the wrenches
stationary and turning the other wrench CW no more than a 1/4 turn. Check the treadle action, if more is needed continue tightening 1/8 turn turn at a time until
you reach desired feel. Do not overtighten, as this will give the treadle too much resistance and make rocking it back and forth too difficult.
The FWP-2 200k Potentiometer Gear (#18) and Rack (#19) are essential for creating the “wah” range of sound and are adjusted to perfection before the pedal
leaves the shop. Do not adjust this unless you are experienced or damage will occur and your warranty may be voided. This pot has a limited rotation and takes
skill to adjust correctly. Visit youtube.com/fulltoneeffects for an instructional video regarding adjusting and maintaining your wah pot correctly.
CLEANING THE POT is occasionally necessary every 6 months or so or when you hear a scratchy sound as you rock the treadle back and forth. Open the pedal,
pull back the vinyl dust cover (#20) and spray only a half seconds worth of Caig DeOxit D5 Tuner Cleaner/Lubricant directly into the opening of the pot. Then rock
the treadle back and forth 10 times or so, push the vinyl dust cap back over the opening, and you should now have a quiet wah pot.
BUFFER/BOOSTER (LEVEL #13, SWITCH #14): The JFET buffer/booster is only active when it is switched ON and when the pedal is turned ON. It allows the
wah to work better with certain pedals and hi-gain amps. You can also use it as a volume booster so your Wah will cut through the mix when it’s turned on. Too
much boost will overload your amp, which may or may not be desirable.
DC POWER PORT: (#15) You may run this device on a 9 volt battery, a high-quality, regulated 9 volt DC wallwart (not included), or high-quality 9VDC to 18VDC
regulated pedalboard powersupply. The power supplies’ plug must be configured standard 2.1mm x 5.5mm barrel plug wired Negative to Center Pin configuration,
as per following diagram: Fulltone Power Supplies are available for purchase at https://store.fulltone.com/collections/accessories.
WARNING! Avoid unregulated power supplies because they induce hum and other noises. Avoid switching-type power supplies (except for our IPS-9) as they can
inject noise that will be heard through the amp.
