POWER
The keyboard can be powered using the included 12V power supply, or
with 6 x AA batteries (not included.) Please pay attention to the correct
polarity indicators when installing batteries and change them as soon
as they get low. Remove the batteries if the instrument will not be used
for a long period.
To power using the power supply, connect the included PSU to the DC
input on the keyboard, then connect the plug to mains power. This will
automatically cut o the battery power. Ensure the volume is turned
down before powering on the instrument.
Please note: In standby mode, the instrument will automatically shut
down after 30 minutes if not used. Refer to “Auto Power O” for details.
SETTING UP A MUSIC STAND
A music stand is supplied with the keyboard and can be easily attached
by inserting it into the slots on the front panel as shown.
RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS
Press and hold the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons simultaneously when
turning on the keyboard to restore the factory settings. This process will
delete all user data, user styles and user songs, along with any memory
bank settings. During the reset, the display will show “Loading!” and,
once complete, the keyboard will start normally.

Connections
SUSTAIN PEDAL
An optional foot pedal (not supplied) can be connected to the SUSTAIN
PEDAL jack and, when pressed, will cause the key sounds to decay
slowly, as if they were being held down.
HEADPHONES
A standard pair of stereo headphones can be connected to the
HEADPHONES input for private practice. The internal speakers are
automatically muted when headphones are connected.
AUDIOOUTPUT
The OUTPUT jack connects the output of the instrument to external
audio equipment such as a keyboard amplifier, stereo sound system or
mixing console.
Please note: To avoid damaging the speakers, ensure the volume level is
set to minimum before connecting to all external devices.
CONNECTING AN MP3 PLAYER
The INPUT jack receives audio signals from an external audio source
such as a smartphone, MP3 player and mixes them with the instrument
signal, allowing you to play along with your favourite songs.
Please note: Adjust the level of the aux signal on your external device.
CONNECTINGA COMPUTER
Use a standard USB cable (not included) to connect the keyboard
to the USB port of a computer and transfer MIDI information. Piano
performances can also be saved onto the computer.
CONNECTING A MICROPHONE
Connect a microphone (not included) into the MIC input to sing along
with your keyboard performances, or with playback of the built-in
songs.
Please note: Before turning the power on, set the master volume to
minimum. Connect your microphone to the jack. Turn on the power and
adjust the master volume accordingly.

POWER SWITCH
Before switching on the instrument, ensure the volume is set to
minimum and connect any external audio equipment. Make sure the
instrument is properly connected to the power supply. Press the power
switch. The display will light up and “Loading!” will be shown.
MASTER VOLUME
Move the volume slider upwards to increase, and downwards to
decrease the master volume, as required.
Please note: the internal speakers will mute when headphones are
connected.
PLAYING DEMO SONGS
To play the in-built demo songs (see demo list for more details) hold
down the [SHIFT] button and then press the [DEMO] button. The LCD
display will show the current demo name and number.
Use the data dial or [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons to select the dierent
demo songs. To stop playing and exit the demo mode, either press
[START/STOP] or press [DEMO] again.

Voices
SELECTING A VOICE
The keyboard has 618 dierent voices (refer to voice list appendix for
details.) Press the [VOICE] button to enter the voice mode. The display
will show the current voice name and number.
Use the data dial or the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons to select the
required voice.
The Quick Selection buttons allow popular voices to be easily selected.
Each button scrolls between the upper and lower button options.
DUAL MODE
The DUAL function allows two dierent voices to be played
simultaneously. To access this mode, press the [DUAL] button. The
display will show the current voice name and number, and the “VOICE
R2” and “DUAL” indicators.
Use the data dial, [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons or the Quick Selection
buttons to select the required second voice.
Both voices layered together will be heard when playing the keyboard.
To exit this mode, press the [DUAL] button again.
LOWER MODE
The LOWER function splits the keyboard into left and right areas, each
with a dierent voice. To access this mode, press the [LOWER] button.
The display will show the current left hand voice name and number, and
the “VOICE L” and “LOWER” indicators.
Use the data dial, [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons or the Quick Selection
buttons to select the required lower voice.
The keyboard will now play with the two dierent lower and higher
voices. To exit this mode, press the [LOWER] button again.
Please note: the “split point” where the two voices are separated will
default at F#3 (key 31) but can be assigned to any other key. Refer to the
function menu for more information.

The keyboard has 200 rhythms or playing “styles” to play along to (refer
to the style list for details).
Press the [STYLE] button to enter the style mode.
Use the data dial or the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons to select the
required style. Press the [START/STOP] button to start the rhythm
track. Alternatively, press [SYNC/START] and the rhythm track will
begin when you play any key on the keyboard.
The Quick Selection buttons allow popular styles to be easily selected.
Each button scrolls between the upper and lower button options.
Each rhythm style has been set with a default tempo. This can be
adjusted using the TEMPO / buttons.
Press the TEMPO and buttons simultaneously to restore the current
style’s default tempo setting.
Press the [START/STOP] button again to stop the rhythm track
PLAYING SONGS
The keyboard has 150 in-built songs (refer to the song list for details).
Press the [SONG] button to enter the song mode. All songs will play in
a loop.
Use the data dial or the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons to select the
required song.
Press the [START/STOP] button to stop playback of all songs. Pressing
it again will play the current song on repeat.
To exit song mode, press either the [STYLE] or [VOICE] buttons.
Styles/Playing Songs

Eects
RECORD
You can record your performances and save up to 5 user songs.
Hold down the [SHIFT] button and press the [BANK/RECORD] button to
enter the user song menu. Use the data dial or the [-/NO] and [+/YES]
buttons to select which user song your recording will be saved to.
Again, hold down the [SHIFT] button and press the [RECORD] button
to put the keyboard into record standby, and select the required voice,
rhythm style or other parameters you wish to record.
Press the [START/STOP] button or play the keyboard to start recording.
To stop recording, hold down [SHIFT] and press [RECORD] This will
automatically enter the song mode and the current recording will be
played back.
In song mode, use the data dial or the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons to
select dierent user songs, stored as songs 151-155. (Empty user songs
will display “NoFile!”)
TOUCH
The touch response feature dynamically controls the level of the
keyboard’s response, allowing you to find the ideal level of key response
to suit your playing style.
To enter the touch menu, hold down [SHIFT] and press the [TOUCH]
button. The display shows the current touch level. The default level is 2.
The touch level can be adjusted using the data dial or the [-/NO] and
[+/YES] buttons, or by holding down [SHIFT] and pressing [TOUCH] as
required. Pressing the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons simultaneously will
return to the default touch setting, level 2.
To turn o the touch function, set the value to “OFF.”

SUSTAIN
To start the sustain function, press and hold the SHIFT button and then
press the [SUSTAIN] button. All notes will sustain after releasing the
keys.
To stop the sustain function, press the [SUSTAIN] button again.
For optimal sustain, using a sustain pedal is recommended. (refer to
pedal function for more details).
TRANSPOSE
The transpose function allows you to shift the overall key of the
keyboard in steps of one semitone.
To enter the transpose menu, hold down the [SHIFT] button and then
press the [TRANSPOSE] button. The display will show the current
transpose setting number and “Transpos.”
Use the data dial or the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons to adjust the
transpose value as required. The range is +/- 12 semitones.
Pressing the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons simultaneously will return the
transpose value to its default setting: “000 Transpos.”
PITCH BEND
Using the pitch bend wheel can add smooth changes to notes being
played on the keyboard. The pitch is increased by moving the wheel
up and decreased by moving it down. The wheel returns to its centre
position when released.
MODULATION
When held down, the modulation button applies a vibrato eect to the
notes being played.

OCTAVE
This function allows you to raise or lower the pitch of the keyboard by
an octave.
To enter the octave menu, press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then
press the [OCTAVE] button. The display will show the current octave
setting number and “Octave.”
Use the data dial or the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons to adjust the octave
value as required. The range is +/- 1 octave.
Pressing the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons simultaneously will return the
transpose value to its default setting: “000 Octave”
Individual octave values can be set when using the dual voice mode.
PIANO MODE
This function allows you to quickly return to the default piano sound.
Simply press the [PIANO] button to enter or exit piano mode.
Please note: when using this mode, the Auto Bass Chord function is
automatically turned o.
METRONOME
Press the [METRONOME] button to start and stop the metronome and
adjust as required with the tempo and buttons.
Dierent time signatures and the volume of the metronome can be set
in the function menu.
Please note: In recording mode, the metronome can be used but will not
be recorded.

The auto accompaniment feature puts a whole backing band at your
fingertips. In this mode, all you have to do is play the chords with your
left hand and the accompaniment will automatically play along in the
style selected, instantly following the chords you play.
AUTO ACCOMPANIMENT (ALL TRACKS)
In Style mode, use the data dial or the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons to
select the required style to be played. The Quick Selection buttons can
also be used. Each button scrolls between the upper and lower button
options.
Press the [CHORD MODE] button to enter the Auto Bass Chord (A.B.C)
mode. The keyboard is now split, with the left-hand section being the
“chord zone.” The A.B.C icon will show on the display. Press any key in
the chord zone to start the accompaniment.
Pressing the [CHORD MODE] button again will enter the “full range”
mode. The FULL RANGE icon will be shown on the display, and you can
play polyphonic chords over the entire keyboard.
[SYNC START] can also be pressed to start the accompaniment
automatically when any chord is played in the chord section. When you
change chord, the accompaniment automatically changes too.
When playing, press [START/STOP] to stop the auto accompaniment.

ACCOMPANIMENT SECTIONS
There are various types of Auto Accompaniments sections that allow
you to vary the arrangement of the accompaniment being played:
1. INTRO
When the intro is finished, the accompaniment will automatically lead
into to the main section.
2.MAIN (A, B)
The main pattern of the song will be played continuously until another
section is selected.
3. FILL (A, B)
Automatically add a fill to your performance. When the fill is finished,
the accompaniment reverts to the main section.
4. ENDING
Use this section to appropriately end your performance. When the
ending section finishes, the accompaniment automatically stops. The
length of the ending diers depending on the style selected.
PLAYING DIFFERENT ACCOMPANIMENT SECTIONS
Press the [STYLE] button and select the required rhythm using the
data dial, the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons or the style Quick Selection
buttons.
Press the [CHORD MODE] button to enter auto bass chord (A.B.C) mode.
Press the [SYNC START] button to prepare the accompaniment to start
when playing begins.
Press the [FILL A] button to select the Main A section.
Press the [INTRO/ENDING] button. The “A” will begin to flash on the
display and the style is ready to play.
The accompaniment will start as soon as keys are pressed in the chord
section.
Press the [FILL B] button to start a fill, automatically followed by the
Main B section.
Press the [INTRO/ENDING] button to enter the ending section of the
accompaniment.

FADE
Styles can be started and finished with a fade, producing a smoother
performance.
Before starting the style, hold down the [SHIFT] button and then press
the [FADE] button. “< FADE” will be shown on the display and will flash
during the start of the performance.
To fade out a style, hold down the [SHIFT] button and then press the
[FADE] button whilst the style is still playing. “> FADE” will be shown
on the display and will flash until the style stops.
The default fade in/out time is 10 seconds.
ACCOMPANIMENT VOLUME
The accompaniment volume can be adjusted, to keep the desired
balance between style and voice volumes.
Hold down the [SHIFT] button and use the ACCOMP [+]/[-] buttons to
set the desired volume (0-127) which will be shown on the display.
Holding down [SHIFT] and pressing both the ACCOMP [+]/[-] buttons
simultaneously will turn the accompaniment volume o. “OFF Accomp”
will be shown on the display. Repeating this process will turn the
accompaniment volume back on.
ONE TOUCH SETTINGS
When One Touch Setting (O.T.S) is enabled, you can instantly recall auto
accompaniment related settings – including voice selection and digital
eects – with a single touch of a button.
Press the O.T.S button to turn on this mode for the current style. “O.T.S”
will be shown on the display.
To recall various panel settings that match the selected style, press one
of the One Touch Setting buttons [M1]-[M4].
Please note: Entering Song mode automatically turns o O.T.S. mode.
