1.2. Insert GSM SIM Card
CTC-1132 Control Panel features built-in GSM
communication facility to make message
reporting to the phone numbers pre-
programmed within the system.
To Insert your SIM card:
The GSM component is situated inside the
Power Supply compartment as pointed out by
the arrow below:
SIM CARD
zUnlock the SIM card base by sliding the
cover toward OPEN-backward direction.
zSpring open the SIM card slot and insert
your new SIM card.
zReplace the SIM slot onto the base lightly.
zRemember to lock the SIM card base by

Be aware to only insert or remove SIM card
when the Control Panel is completely
depleted of any power residual.
1.3. The Power Supply
An AC power adapter is required to connect to
a wall outlet. Be sure only to use an adapter
with the appropriate AC voltage rating to
prevent component damage. A DC 9V output
and 500mA adapter is generally used to power
the Control Panel.
Rechargeable Battery
zIn addition to the adapter, there is a
rechargeable battery inside the
Control Panel that serves as a back
up in case of a power failure.
zThe battery used is a 7.2V 600mAH
Ni-mH rechargeable battery pack.
zDuring normal operation, the AC
power adapter is used to supply
power to the Control Panel and at the
same time recharge the battery.
zWhen the battery is fully charged, it
can provide back-up power for a
period of at least 8 hours. It takes
approximately 48 hours to fully charge
the battery.
<

)The CTC-1132 is equipped with
Backlit LCD display to add the
convenience of easy operation when
in dark. However, when AC power is
missing and for the reason of
conservation of rechargeable battery,
Backlit feature will be disabled until
the AC power is supplied again.
1.4. How to install the Control
Panel
Locating a suitable position for the
Control Panel
zThe Control Panel requires mains power
and a constant telephone connection,
zThe Control Panel should be easily
accessible,
zThe Control Panel should not be placed in
a damp place, such as a bathroom.
zThe Control Panel should not be placed
close to any heat source, such as
microwave ovens, which can reduce
signal srength.
zThe Control Panel should not be located
alongside other radio transmitting devices
such as mobile phones, cordless phone or
wireless computer network (WiFi) devices.
Impontant: When drilling into a wall, ensure
that there are no hidden cables or pipes.
Mounting the Control Panel
The Control Panel can be mounted on the wall
or wherever desired. Ensure the Control Panel
is fitted at approximately chest height where
the display can be easily seen and the keypad
convenient to operate.

3
zUsing the 2 holes of the Wall Mounting
Cross Bracket as a template, mark off the
holes’ positions.
zDrill 2 holes and insert the wall plugs if
fixing into plaster or brick.
zScrew the base to the wall
zHook the Control unit onto the Wall
Mounting Cross Bracket (holding the unit
with the front facing you).
1.5. Two level passwords
In order to provide highest security in operating
the system, CTC-1132 offers 2 levels of
authorization. When you want to program the
system, you have to enter Personal PIN Code
and Master Code.
PIN Code
zThere are a total of 4 User PIN Codes
per each system. The PIN Code is the
1st level of password. When the display
panel asks you to key in Enter Code or
P-Code, please enter your User PIN
Code.
z1234 is set as default User 1 PIN Code
by the factory.
zUser 2~4 PIN codes are deactivated by
factory default.
Master Code
zThe Master Code has the authorization to
enter Programming mode. When the
display panel asks you to key in M-Code,
please enter your Master Code.
z1111 is set as default Master Code by the
factory.
