Moistureremoval
The moisturethatyourair
conditionerremovesfromtheair
drainstothe rear ofthecabinet
whereit ispickedupbyafanand
dispersedagainstthecondenser.
Occasionally,more likelyduring
startup, a“pinging”noisemaybe
heard. This isnormalfor ashort
timein lesshumidareasandlonger
in veryhumidareas. Thismethod
ofmoisture removalimprovesthe
operationalefficiencyofyour
air conditioner.
Note: Beforemovingyourair
conditionerto anotherlocation,
turn it offand wait5or 10minutes.
This willallowthe condensateto
drain from the coilintothebase
pan. Then, keepingafirm grip on
theairconditioner,carefullyraisethe
windowand tilt the air conditioner
to theoutsideto drain the water
fromthe basepan.

When the TemperatureControlis

lowspeed, moisture may freezeon
the coils and preventthe unitfrom
cooling. If this happens, set the Fan

through the top and side louvers.

Toreinstall the filter,place it on
pins located on the back side of
the grille.
Toreplace the grille, place the two
tabs at the bottom ofthe grille into
slotson the case and push the grille
forward.
