Thisprovidesthebestperformanceandalsopreventsoverloadinghouse

Neverunplugyourrefrigeratorbypullingonthepowercord.Alwaysgrip
plugfirmlyandpullstraightoutfromtheoutlet.
Repairorreplaceimmediatelyallpowercordsthathavebecomefrayed
orotherwisedamaged.Donotuseacordthatshowscracksorabrasion

ensurelterisproperlyalignedandfully
seatedwithinholder.Runwaterfromthe
dispenser(approx.2gallonsorabout
5minutes)toclearanyparticlesand
removeairfromthesystem.

Thehummofthemotorclosingtheicechuteisnormal,shortlyafterdispensingice.
Youmayhearthefansspinningathighspeeds.Thishappenswhenthe
refrigeratorisfirstpluggedin,whenthedoorsareopenedfrequentlyorwhena
largeamountoffoodisaddedtotherefrigeratororfreezercompartments.The
fansarehelpingtomaintainthecorrecttemperatures.
Thefanschangespeedsinordertoprovideoptimalcoolingandenergysavings.
CLICKS, POPS,
CRACKS and SNAPS
Youmayhearcrackingorpoppingsoundswhentherefrigeratorisfirstplugged
in.Thishappensastherefrigeratorcoolstothecorrecttemperature.
Expansionandcontractionofcoolingcoilsduringandafterdefrostcancausea
crackingorpoppingsound.
Onmodelswithanicemaker,afteranicemakingcycle,youmayheartheice
cubesdroppingintotheicebucket.
Onmodelswithadispenser,duringwaterdispense,youmayhearthewater
linesmoveatinitialdispenseandafterdispenserbuttonisreleased.
WATER SOUNDS
Theflowofrefrigerantthroughthecoolingcoilsmaymakeagurglingnoiselike
boilingwater.
Waterdroppingonthedefrostheatercancauseasizzling,poppingorbuzzing
soundduringthedefrostcycle.
Awaterdrippingnoisemayoccurduringthedefrostcycleasicemeltsfromthe
evaporatorandflowsintothedrainpan.
Closingthedoormaycauseagurglingsoundduetopressureequalization.

Expired.”
TRUE Thewaterlterindicatorwillindicatetheneedtoreplacethewaterltereverysix
months.Waterqualityvariesfromcitytocity;ifwaterowfromthedispenser
slows,oriceproductiondecreases,thewaterltershouldbereplaced,even
thoughthelterindicatormaynotindicatetheneedforreplacement.
Theautomaticicemakerinmyrefrigeratorwillproduceice
whentherefrigeratorispluggedintoapowerreceptacle.
MYTH Therefrigeratormustbeconnectedtowater,andtheicemakermustbeturned
on.Makesuretheicemakeristurnedon,onlyafterthewaterlineisconnected

MYTH Thewaterdispensertanklocatedinsidetherefrigeratorstoreswaterfordispens-
ing.Thewaterinthistankrequires24hourstochillafterinstallation.Highusage
conditionswillnotallowtimeforthewatertochill.
Afterwaterdispenses,afewdropsofwaterarenormal. TRUE Afewdropsofwatermayfallfromthedispenser,afterthedispenserpaddlehas
beenreleased.Tominimizethedrops,removetheglassslowlyfromthedispenser.
