To Use Automatic One-Touch Washing
The LOAD SENSING feature automaticallg senses the size of gour load, fills with the appropriate amount
of water, and calculates the amount of wash time required to complete the cgcle.
NOTE: When using the LOAD SENSING feature, it is normal for the pulsator to rotate before water fills
in the tub.
To choose the automatic LOADSENSINGfeature, press POWERON/OFF.
The COLORSindicator light will light up automatically unless you have selected one of the other LOAD
SENSINGcycles such as WHITES,DELICATES,SPEEDWASH,CUSTOMCYCLEor ULTRACLEAN.
Then simply press START/PAUSE.

About the control and indicator settings.
LOAD SIZE
The water level should just cover the clothes. Adjust the load size accordinglg. Looselg load
clothes no higher than the top row of holes in the washer basket.
WASH CYCLE
These wash cgcles control the length of the washing process. The chart below will help match the
WASHCYCLEsetting to gour specific laundrg needs. When u cgcle isselected, the automatic
temperature that the machine defaults to can be changed to whatever temperature gou desire.
Default Wash/Rinse Temperatures
COLORS For easg care and wrinkle-resistant items. WARM /COLD
WHITES For heavg to lightlg soiled cotton, household HOT/COLD
linens, towels, work and plag clothes.
DELICATES For lingerie and delicate fabrics with COLD /COLD
light to normal soils.
SPEED For one or two lightlg soiled items WARM COLD
WASH that are needed quicklg.
CUSTOM Manuallg selected options of water WARM COLD
temperature, load size,and wash
options saved for future uses.
ULTRA Maximizes detergent efficiencg bg adding WARM COLD
CLEAN water in steps and slowlg diluting the
detergent to the standard level.
TEMP WASH/RINSE
Select the water temperature for the wash and rinse cgcles. Alwags follow fabric manufacturer's
care label or instructions when laundering.
NOTE FORPORTABLEMODELS:When using a one-faucet connection, adjust the water flow mix
and water temperature at the faucet.
START/PAUSE
Pressthe START/PAUSEbutton to start the wash cycle.
EST. MINUTES REMAINING
Displays the time remaining in the wash cycle. It will also display Status Indicators.

NOTE:When the cycle iscomplete the control panel will turn off automatically.

Loading the Washer
Load dry items loosely,no higher than the top row of
holes inthe washer tub. When loading wet items
make sureyou set the load/water levelhigh enough
to allow the items to move freely.Water levelshould
just cover the clothes.Toadd items after washer has
started, open the lid and add the additional items.
Closethe lid.Washer will start automatically.

Wash Basket: Leavethe lid open after washing to
allow moistureto evaporate. If you want to clean
the basket usea clean,soft cloth dampened with
liquid detergent, then rinse.(Donot use harsh
or gritty cleaners.)
Fill Hoses:Hosesconnecting washer to faucet should
be replaced every 5 gears.
Moving and Storage: Askthe servicetechnician to
remove water from drain pump and hoses.Do not
store the washer where it will be exposedto the
weather.
Long Vacations: Besurewater supply isshut off at
faucets. Drainall water from hoses ifweather will
be below freezing.
Exterior: Immediately wipe off any spills.Wipewith
damp cloth.Try not to hit surface with sharp objects.

WASHER LOCATION
Washer must be installed on firm flooring to minimize
vibration during spin cycles. Concrete flooring is best,
but wood base issufficient providing floor support
meets FHAstandards. Washer should not be installed
on rugs or exposed to the weather.
Install or store where it will not be exposed to
temperatures below freezing or exposed to the weather.
ELECTRICAL
This appliance must be supplied with the voltage and
frequency indicated on the rating plate (located on
the back of the washer) and connected to an individual,
properly grounded branch circuit, protected by a 15- or
20-amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse.
If the washer is plugged into the dryer's 11S-volt outlet,
then the dryer needs to be on a dedicated circuit.
PLUMBING
, WATERPRESSURE--Mustbe 10 p.s.i, minimum to 150
p.s.i, maximum dgnamic pressure measured at faucet.
WATERTEMPERATURE--Household water
heater should be set to deliver water at 120° to 150°F
(50° to 66°C) IN THEWASHERwhen HOTwash is
selected.
SHUT-OFFVALVES--Both hot and cold shut-off valves
(faucets) should be supplied.
DRAIN--Water mag be drained into a standpipe or set
tub. The discharge height MUSTNOT BE LESSTHAN
30" nor more than 8' above the base of the washer.
The standpipe must be 1V2"minimum inside diameter
and must be open to the atmosphere.

Leveling locks are located at the bottom front of the left
and right sides of the washer.

This releases the spring loaded leveling feet.
The washer will automatically level itself.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded. Inthe event of a
malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce
the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least
resistance for electrical current.
This appliance is equipped with a cord having an
equipment grounding conductor and a grounding plug.
The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that
