•Use only attachments / accessories specified by the manufacturer.
•Always shut down power supply when not in use to save energy and for prolonged lifespan.
•Exposure to extremely high noise levels may cause permanent hearing loss. Individuals vary
considerably in susceptibility to noise-induced hearing loss, but nearly everyone will lose some hearing if
exposed to sufficiently intense noise for a period of time. The U.S. Government’s Occupational Safety
and Health Administration (OSHA) has specified the permissible noise level exposures shown in the
following chart. According to OSHA, any exposure in excess of these permissible limits could result in
some hearing loss. To ensure against potentially dangerous exposure to high sound pressure levels, it is
recommended that all persons exposed to equipment capable of producing high sound pressure levels
use hearing protectors while the equipment is in operation. Ear plugs or protectors in the ear canals or
over the ears must be worn when operating the equipment in order to prevent permanent hearing loss if
exposure is in excess of the limits set forth here:

CONTROL ELEMENTS
FRONT PANEL
1. CHANNEL INPUTS
MIC INPUT CONNECTORS
These are balanced XLR (female) type input connectors.
LINE INPUT CONNECTORS
These are balanced phone-type (¼” TRS) input connectors. You can connect either balanced or unbalanced
phone-type plugs to these connectors.
NOTES: Where an input channel provides both a MIC connector and a LINE
connector, you may use either one of these connectors but you must not use both at
the same time. Please connect to only one of these connectors on each channel.
2. GAIN CONTROL
This control adjusts the sensitivity of both MIC (XLR) and LINE (¼” TRS) inputs. The -34 to +10 scale
indicates the LINE input adjustment level. The EXO US GAIN structure employs the revolutionary GECKO®
C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Audiophile PreAmps technology.

3. PEAK LED
The PEAK LE detects the peak level of the post-equalizer signal, and lights up red when the level reaches
3dB below the clipping level. It is normal to see the LE lights up occasionally.
4. EQUALIZER (EQ)
MONAURAL CHANNELS (CHANNELS 1 TO 8):
This two-band equalizer adjusts the channel’s high and low frequency bands. Setting the knob to the
position produces a flat (linear) frequency response. Turning the knob to the right boosts the
corresponding frequency band, while turning to the left cuts the band.
The following table shows the EQ type, base frequency, and maximum cut/boost for each of the two bands.
Ba d Type Base Freque cy Maximum Cut/Boost
HIGH Shelving 12kHz
±15dB
LOW Shelving 80Hz
5. AUX CONTROL
The AUX knob controls the signal level that the channel sends to the AUX bus. This knob should generally
be set close to the position.
NOTES: This control allows you to output the signal to the AUX bus regardless of
the setting of the channel fader [8].
6. PAN CONTROL
The PAN control determines the positioning of the channel’s signal on the ST (STEREO) L and R buses.
7. PFL (PRE-FADER LISTEN) SWITCH
This switch lets you monitor the channel’s pre-fader signal. To set the switch ON, press it in. When the switch
is ON, the mixing console outputs the channel’s pre-fader signal to the PHONES bus for monitoring.
8. CHANNEL FADER
Adjusts the output level of the channel's input signal. Use these faders to adjust the volume balance among
the various channels.
NOTES: To reduce noise, set the fader sliders for unused channels all the way
down. Always ensure that you work with clean sources.

9. RETURN FADER
Adjusts the level of the mixed signals sent from the AUX RETURN connector into the ST (STEREO) L and R
buses. You may use this function to control the amount of mixed signals on peripheral such as an external
effects unit being sent to the mixing console.
10. ST (STEREO) L & R FADERS
Adjust the signal level to the STEREO OUT (ST OUT) - L (O ) and R (EVEN) output connectors.
11. PHANTOM +48V SWITCH / +48V LED
This switch toggles phantom power ON and OFF. If you set the switch ON, the mixing console supplies C
+48V power to all channels (Channels 1 to 8) that provide MIC (XLR female) input connectors. Set this
switch ON (pressed in, +48V amber LE lights up) when using one or more condenser microphones.
WARNING: Be sure to leave this switch OFF (switch not pressed in) when you are
not using phantom power. Humming or damage may result if you connect to an
unbalanced device or to an ungrounded transformer while this switch is ON (pressed
in, +48V amber LE lights up). But note that the switch may be left ON without
problem when connecting to balanced dynamic microphones. To avoid damage to
speakers, be sure to turn OFF amplifiers (or powered speakers) before turning this
switch ON or OFF.
12. ST/PFL SWITCH
With the ST/PFL switch unpressed, the overall ST (STEREO) output is sent to the PHONES connector, and
LEVEL METER. With the ST/PFL switch pressed in, only the overall summed PFL output is sent to the
PHONES connector, and LEVEL METER.
13. PHONES LEVEL CONTROL
The PHONES LEVEL knob controls the level of the signals output to the PHONES connector.
14. LEVEL METER
This 5-segment LE METER shows the level of the signals selected by the selection switches described in
[12] above. The “0” point corresponds to the standard output level. The indicator lights up red when the
output hits the clipping level.
15. POWER INDICATOR
This indicator lights up when the mixing console's power is ON.
16. ST GRAPHIC EQUALIZER
This 5-band equalizer adjusts the sound of the signal send to the ST OUT connectors. The equalizer cuts or
boosts each band (70Hz, 200Hz, 1kHz, 5kHz, and 12kHz) over a range of ±12dB.
17. PHONES CONNECTOR
Connector for headphones. This is a balanced stereo phone-type (¼” TRS) output connector.

NOTES: The signals monitored by this connector are selected by the ST/PFL
switch and the channel PFL switches.
18. AUX SEND / AUX RETURN
AUX SEND
This is impedance-balanced ¼” TRS output connector. This connector outputs the signal from AUX bus.. You
use this connector, for example, to connect to an external effects unit or to a cue box or other such
monitoring system.
AUX RETURN
This is impedance-balanced ¼” TRS input connector. The signal received by this input connector is sent to
the STEREO bus and the AUX bus. This input connector is typically used to receive a return signal from an
external effects unit (reverb, delay, etc.).
19. REC OUT (L, R) - L (ODD) a d R (EVEN)
These are unbalanced RCA-type output connectors. By connecting these connectors to an external recorder,
you can record the same signal that is being output from the ST (STEREO) OUT - L (O ) and R (EVEN)
connectors.
NOTES: The mixing console’s ST (STEREO) L & R faders do not operate on the
signal output from these connectors. Be sure to make appropriate level adjustments
at the external recording device.
20. ST (STEREO) OUT - L (ODD) a d R (EVEN)
These balanced ¼” TRS connectors output the mixed signal whose level is adjusted by the ST (STEREO) L
& R faders. Output is in STEREO (L and R). Application examples: you can use these connectors to connect
to an additional power amplifier driving your main speakers or to a pair of powered speakers, and or to
connect to an external recording device.
