BLN-TLisapassivetype video balun toallowyou tosend videosignalsthrough CAT5cableand requiresnopower.
The transmission distanceisabout2300 feet,butwithmultiplexers,quads,and DVRs,pleaserestrictthe distanceto
650 feet. Thetwisted pairwireswill notrequiretobe stripped beforeinstallationwithourlatestTOOLLESSdesign
and alsomakethe connection stronger.
~Installation~
[Step 1]
Run yourCAT5cablebetween cameraand therestofyourCCTVequipment.Thereare4pairsofwireinthe
CAT5cableand willabletocarry 4video signals,one pereachpairofwire.It isrecommended running moreCAT5
cablethan you actuallyneed togivetremendousflexibilitytoadd extracamerasand audiofeedsetc.
[Step 2]
Stripthe CAT5cablecoverwithproperlength(approximate8mm)and identifythe variouspairsinthe CAT5cable.
[Step 3]
Connectapairofwirestothe balun according tothe diagramasbelow(fig.1)and connectthe balun atthe otherend
ofCAT5cablewithsamepairofwirestoconnecttoyourCCTVdevice.Itisimportanttoconnectthetwisted pairs
of wiresinCAT5cablewithCORRECT POLARITYtothe balun on bothends.
[Step 4]
Connectthe balunstoyourcameraand the otherend withthe BNC connection toyourcontrol equipment ormonitor.
~ImportantNotice forInstallation~
1.ThereareTHREE connectionson the balun withourlatestTOOLLESS design byIDC connection stripand
shouldbe connected asbelow.
2.Stripthe cablewithproperlengthwillmakethe connection strongerandthe CAT 5cablewill be protected bythe
housing (fig.2).
