GW-205ACCD COLOR CAMERA
OPERATION MANUAL
INTRODUCTION:
Thank you for choosing our GW-205A CCD COLOR Camera.
GENWAC hopes that both the quality and design satisfy your requirements.
Before proceeding to install or operate the GW-205A, please read and understand thoroughly the contents
of this Operation Manual.
For future reference we also advise safe keeping of this manual.
CAUTIONS:
1. Use only the AD-603 or equivalent power adaptor for the GW-205A. Power supplied without voltage
stabilization and/or the voltage range maintained at +6~7.5V D.C. may cause damage.
2. Do not expose the GW-205A to wetness or high moisture conditions. The GW-205A is designed and approved
for indoor use only.
If the location of the camera is outdoors or in an outdoor like environment, we recommend that you use an
OUTDOOR CAMERA HOUSING.
3. Avoid the striking of hard objects or dropping the unit.
4. Do not disassemble and/or modify the GW-205A or any of its component parts or accessories. GENWAC can not
be held responsible for equipment failure or any damage and/or trouble caused by such action.
5. Do not install the GW-205A near heat sources, such as radiators or heating air ducts, or in a position
subject to direct sunlight※,excessive dust, mechanical vibration or shock.
6. When installing the GW-205A in an industrial or commercial environment (i.e. within equipment housing,
near other electronic device, etc.) make sure to avoid any strong electromagnetic field, otherwise
the video output may be distorted and monitor clearness compromised.
7. Do not connect any power supply directly to the VIDEO OUT of the unit. This may cause damage.
8. When a cable operation system, such as video/power multiplex transmission is being used, check the
specifications or requirements of your monitor for proper connection to the video signal terminal of the
camera.
9. Do not make connections and/or operate the GW-205A with wet hands.
10. Should the GW-205A not work properly, switch off the power and then, check that power and video terminals
are properly connected.
※ Sunlight shining directly onto the camera lens can cause damage to the CCD.

SETTING UP AND OPERATION OF THE GW-205A
Ensure that before any connections are made to the GW-205A the power is switched OFF.NOTE:
1.Wire the power supply and the video output, based on the detailed diagram below.
NOTE:Ensure the voltage range of the power supply is within these limits(DC+6~7.5V).
:Choose a power supply not less than 250mA current capacity.
:Use a 3C2V or 5C2V cable with 75Ω impedance when the existing output cable must be extended and
also when other equipment is used.

NOTE:The electronic iris function on the GW-205A is much useful under the light source providing less
flickering such as natural light or incandescent lamp.
That is, when lamps rasing flickering like fluorescent lamp are used, flickering may occer or the
white balance may became bad in the picture.
In this case, such countermeasures as high frequency lamp is used for the light source or the
electronic iris function is used are requried.
※When electronic iris shutter function is not needed, connect the white line to the common(GND).
(Normally, the white line is left as it is.)
:Refer to the above recommended power circuitry when different power supply is supplied other than
the recommended(DC+6~ 7.5V).
:Use a proper radiation plate for the regulator used with three terminals.
2.Fixing the GW-205A.
The intense shock may cause the GW-205A housing distorted.
Be careful of the GW-205A housing on installation, accordingly.
Note:When the GW-205A housing is distorted, it may induce the "SHORT-CIRCUIT", leading to a breakage.
3.Turn on all the power supplies for the GW-205A and the monitor.
Turn off all the power supplies immediately, when the GW-205A does not work properly.
And review the connections of the power source and video out.
If any question or further information on power supply and/or video out is required, please contact your
dealer whitch you have purchased the GW-205A.
4.Focus on while looking at the monitor.
Bring into focus by turning the lens clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Be careful to make focussing adjustment not so as to scratch the lens on the surface.
