protectthemagainstdamagefromstaticelectricity,youshouldfollowsomeprecautionswheneveryou
workon your computer.
1. Unplugyour computerwhenworkingonthe inside.
2. Useagroundedwriststrapbeforehandlingcomputercomponents.Ifyoudonothave
one,touchbothofyourhandstoasafelygroundedobjectortoametalobject,suchas
thepower supply case.
3. Holdcomponents bytheedgesandtry not touchtheICchips,leads or connectors,or
othercomponents.
4. Placecomponentsonagroundedantistaticpadoronthebagthatcamewiththe
componentswheneverthecomponentsareseparatedfromthesystem.
5. Ensurethat theATXpowersupplyisswitchedoffbeforeyoupluginor remove theATX
powerconnectoronthemotherboard.

Ifthemotherboardhasmountingholes,buttheydon’tlineupwiththeholesonthebaseandthereare
noslotstoattachthespacers,donotbecomealarmedyoucanstillattachthespacerstothemounting
holes.Justcutthebottomportionofthespacers(thespacermaybealittlehardtocutoff,sobecareful
ofyourhands).Inthiswayyoucanstillattachthemotherboardtothebasewithoutworryingaboutshort
circuits.Sometimesyoumayneedtousetheplasticspringstoisolatethescrewfromthemotherboard
PCBsurface,becausethecircuitwiremaybenearbythehole.Becareful,don’tletthescrewcontact
anyprintedcircuitwriteorpartsonthePCBthatarenearthefixinghole,otherwiseitmaydamagethe
boardorcauseboardmalfunctioning.

2-1: Installing Processor and CPU Haet Sink
Before installing the processor and cooling fan, adhere to the following
cautions:
1. Theprocessorwilloverheatwithouttheheatsinkand/orfan,resultinginpermanent
irreparabledamage.
2. Neverforcetheprocessorintothesocket.
3. Applythermalgreaseontheprocessorbeforeplacingcoolingfan.
4. Pleasemake suretheCPUtype issupportedbythe motherboard.
5. If you do not match the CPU socket Pin 1 and CPU cut edge well, it will cause
improperinstallation.Pleasechangetheinsertorientation.
2-1-1: Installing CPU
Step1 Raisethemetallockingleveronthesocket.RemovetheplasticcoveringontheCPUsocket.
Step2 Insert theCPUwiththe correct orientation.TheCPUonlyfits in oneorientation.
Step3 OncetheCPUisproperlyplaced, please replace theplasticcoveringandpushthemetal
leverbackintolockedposition.

Step1 Attachthe heatsinkcliptotheprocessorsocket.Hookthemetalbracket intoretention
Module.
Step2 Hooktheothersideofmetalbracketintoretentionmodule.
Step3 Pushdowntheclipto the locked position.
Step4 Connectprocessorfancancabletotheprocessorfanconnector.

2-2: Install Memory Modules
Before installing the processor and heatsink, adhere to the following warning:
When DIMM LED is ON, do not install/remove DIMM from socket.
DIMM A1~A4
DIMM B1~B4
The motherboard has 8 dual inline memory module (DIMM) sockets. The BIOS will automatically
detects memory type and size. To install the memory module, just push it vertically into the DIMM
socket .The DIMM module can only fit in one direction due to the notch. Memory size can vary
betweensockets.

Installation Step:
Step1 Insert the DIMMmemory moduleverticallyinto theDIMM slot, andpush itdown.
Step2 Closetheplastic clip at bothedgesoftheDIMMslotstolocktheDIMMmodule.
NOTE!! DIMMmust be populatedin orderstartingfrom B1/A1DIMMsockets. EachlogicalDIMM
mustbemadeoftwoidenticalDIMMshaving the same devicesizeoneachandthesame
DIMM size.
Step3 Reversethe installation stepswhenyouwishtoremove the DIMM module.
