When you installingAGP card, please make sure the following
notice is fully understood and practiced. If yourAGP card has
"AGP 4X/8X(1.5V) notch"(show below), please make sure yourAGP
card isAGP4X/8X(1.5V).
Caution: AGP2X(3.3V) card is not supported by VIA®KT600.You
might experience system unable to boot up normally. Please insert
anAGP4X/8X(1.5V) card
Example 1: Diamond Vipper V770 golden finger is compatible with
2X/4X modeAGP slot. It can be switched betweenAGP2X(3.3V) or 4X
(1.5V) mode by adjusting the jumper. The factory default for this card is
2X(3.3V).
The GA-7VT600-P(-L) (or anyAGP 4X only) motherboards might not
function properly, if you install this card without switching the jumper to
4X(1.5V) mode in it.
Example 2: SomeATi Rage 128 Pro graphics cards made by "Power
Color", the graphics card manufacturer & some SiS 305 cards, their
golden finger is compatible with 2X(3.3V)/4X(1.5V) modeAGP slot, but
they support 2X(3.3V) only. The GA-7VT600-P(-L) (or anyAGP 4X only)
motherboards might not function properly, If you install thiscard in it.
Note :Although Gigabyte'sAG32S(G) graphics card is based on
ATi Rage 128 Pro chip, the design ofAG32S(G) is compliance
withAGP 4X(1.5V) specification.Therefore, AG32S (G)will work
fine with VIA®KT600 based motherboards.

1. Unplugyourcomputerwhenworkingon theinside.
2. Useagroundedwriststrapbeforehandlingcomputercomponents.Ifyoudonothave
one,touchbothofyourhandstoasafelygroundedobjectortoametalobject,suchas
the power supplycase.
3. Holdcomponentsbytheedgesandtrynot touch theICchips,leadsorconnectors,or
othercomponents.
4. Placecomponentsonagroundedantistaticpadoronthebagthatcamewiththe
componentswheneverthecomponentsareseparatedfromthesystem.
5. EnsurethattheATXpowersupplyisswitchedoffbeforeyoupluginorremovetheATX
powerconnectoronthemotherboard.
Ifthemotherboardhasmountingholes,buttheydon’tlineupwiththeholesonthebaseandthereare
noslotstoattachthespacers,donotbecomealarmedyoucanstillattachthespacerstothemounting
holes.Justcutthebottomportionofthespacers(thespacermaybealittlehardtocutoff,sobecareful
ofyourhands).Inthiswayyoucanstillattachthemotherboardtothebasewithoutworryingaboutshort
circuits.Sometimesyoumayneedtousetheplasticspringstoisolatethescrewfromthemotherboard
PCBsurface,becausethecircuitwiremaybenearbythehole.Becareful,don’tletthescrewcontact
anyprintedcircuitwriteorpartsonthePCBthatarenearthefixinghole,otherwiseitmaydamagethe
boardorcauseboardmalfunctioning.

2.Please note thatthe DIMM modulecan onlyfit in onedirection dueto the one
notch. Wrong orientation will cause improper installation. Please change the

completelineofDDR400/333/266/200memorysolutions,DDRmemoryisthebestchoiceforbuilding
highperformanceandlowlatencyDRAMsubsystemthataresuitableforservers,workstations,andfull
rangeof desktopPCs.
1. The DIMM slot has a notch, so the DIMM
memory module can only fit in one direction.
2. Insert the DIMM memory module vertically into
the DIMM slot. Then push it down.
3. Close the plastic clip at both edges of the DIMM
slots to lock the DIMM module.
Reverse the installation steps when you wish
to remove the DIMM module.

Step 3: Install expansion cards

PleasealigntheAGPcardtotheonboard
AGPslot and pressfirmly down on the slot.
Make sure your AGP card is locked by the
smallwhite-drawablebar.
1. Readtherelatedexpansioncard’sinstructiondocumentbeforeinstalltheexpansioncardinto
thecomputer.
2. Removeyour computer’schassiscover,necessaryscrewsandslotbracketfromthecomputer.
3. Presstheexpansioncardfirmlyintoexpansionslotinmotherboard.
4. Besurethemetalcontactsonthecardareindeedseatedintheslot.
5. Replacethescrewtosecuretheslotbracketoftheexpansioncard.
6. Replaceyourcomputer’schassiscover.
7. Poweronthecomputer, if necessary,setupBIOS utility ofexpansion card from BIOS.
8. Installrelateddriverfromtheoperatingsystem.
