3.Holdcomponentsbythe edgesand trynottouchthe ICchips,leadsorconnectors,orother
components.
4.Placecomponentson agrounded antistaticpadoron the bag thatcamewiththecomponents
wheneverthe componentsareseparated fromthe system.
5.EnsurethattheATXpowersupplyisswitched offbeforeyou plug inorremovethe ATXpower
connectoronthemotherboard.
Ifthemotherboardhasmountingholes,buttheydon'tlineup withtheholesonthebaseandthereare
noslotstoattachthe spacers,do notbecomealarmedyou can still attachthespacerstothemounting
holes.Justcutthebottomportionofthespacers(thespacermaybe alittlehardtocutoff,sobe carefulof
yourhands).Inthiswayyou can still attachthe motherboardtothe basewithoutworrying aboutshort
circuits.Sometimesyoumayneed tousetheplasticspringstoisolatethe screwfromthe motherboard
PCBsurface,becausethe circuitwiremaybe nearbythe hole.Becareful,don'tletthe screwcontact
anyprintedcircuitwriteorpartson thePCBthatarenearthe fixinghole,otherwiseitmaydamage the
boardorcauseboardmalfunctioning.

Werecommend you toapplythethermaltapetoprovidebetterheat
conduction betweenyourCPUand heatsink.
(TheCPUcooling fanmightstick totheCPUduetothehardening ofthe
thermalpaste.During thiscondition ifyou trytoremove thecooling fan,you
mightpull theprocessoroutoftheCPUsocketalonewiththecooling fan,and
mightdamagetheprocessor.To avoidthisfromhappening,wesuggestyou to
eitheruse thermaltapeinsteadofthermalpaste,orremovethecooling fanwith
extremecaution.)

1.The DIMMslothastwonotch,sothe
DIMM memorymodulecan onlyfitin
onedirection.
2. Insertthe DIMM memorymodule
verticallyintothe DIMM socket. Then
pushitdown.
3.Closethe plasticclipatbothedgesofthe DIMM socketstolock the DIMM module.
Reversethe installation stepswhen you wishtoremovethe DIMM module.
Step2:Install memorymodules
The motherboardhas3dualin-line memorymodule(DIMM)sockets.The BIOSwill automatically
detectsmemorytype and size.Toinstall the memorymodule,justpushitverticallyintothe DIMMSocket
.The DIMM modulecan onlyfitinone direction due tothe twonotch.Memorysizecan varybetween
sockets.

Step3:Install expansion cards
1.Read the related expansioncard'sinstructiondocumentbeforeinstall the expansion cardintothe
computer.
2.Removeyourcomputer'schassiscover,screwsand slotbracketfromthecomputer.
3.Press the expansion cardfirmlyintoexpansion slotinmotherboard.
4.Besurethe metalcontactsonthe cardareindeedseated inthe slot.
5.Replacethescrewtosecurethe slotbracketoftheexpansion card.
6.Replaceyourcomputer'schassiscover.
7.Poweron the computer,ifnecessary,setup BIOSutilityofexpansion cardfromBIOS.
8. Install related driverfromtheoperating system.

Pleasecarefullypull outthe small white-drawable
baratthe endofthe AGPslotwhenyoutrytoinstall
/uninstall the AGPcard.Pleasealign the AGP
cardtothe onboardAGPslotand press firmly
downon the slot. MakesureyourAGPcardis
locked bythe small white-drawablebar.
When an AGP2x(3.3V)cardisinstalled the 2X_DETwill lightup,indicating anon-
supported graphics cardisinserted.Informing usersthatsystemmightnotbootup normally
due toAGP2x(3.3V)isnotsupported bythe chipset.
