WARRANTY
This GLEN Built-in Oven is fully warranted against any defect arising out of defective materials
or faulty workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Should any defect
develop in this product, the customer should bring the product to the nearest authorised service
centre, where the company undertakes to get the product repaired free of charge.
This warranty is not valid if :
• The use and care instructions have not been followed.
• Defects are caused by accident, misuse, abuse or commercial use.
• The repair work is carried out by persons not authorised by the company.
• Any modification or alteration of any nature is made in the product.
• Normal wear & tear of the product is not covered under warranty
• The Bill/Cash memo and copy of warranty card is not presented.
Under no circumstances, whether based on limited warranty or otherwise shall the
company be liable for incidental, special or consequential damages. Use of product indicates
acceptance by you of the aforesaid terms and conditions.

• This appliance is designed for domestic household
use and can be uilt into a standard kitchen cabinet
or housing unit.
• For efficient air circulation, the oven should be
fitted according to the dimensions shown in the
figure. The rear panel of the cabinet must be
removed so that air can circulate freely. The panel
to which the oven is fitted should have a gap of at
least 70mm at the rear.
• Fit the appliance into the opening, tightening the
screws into the 4 holes that can be seen in the frame
of the oven when the door is open.
• The panels of the adjoining furniture must be heat
resistant. Particularly when the adjoining furniture
is made of veneered wood, the adhesives should be

able to withstand a temperature of 120 C plastic
materials or adhesives which cannot withstand this
temperature will become deformed or unstuck.
• Check that the power rating of the mains supply and
of the sockets are suitable for the maximum power
of the appliance as indicated on the specification
plate. Fit the plug into a socket fitted with a third
contact which corresponds with the earth
connection. This should be properly connected. It
is strongly advised that the appliance should be
properly earthed.
Cooling Fan
• A tangential cooling fan is fitted inside of this
appliance, to make the internal temperature of the
oven stable and the external surface temperature
lower.
• Installation should be carried out according to the
instructions by a professionally qualified person.
• The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any
consequential damage due to an improper
installation.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• To remove any residue from the oven that may have been left from the manufacturing
process, you should select the gas oven and set it to its maximum temperature setting.
• It is perfectly normal for a smell to be produced during this process.
• You should make sure that any windows in the room are left open during this process.
• It is advisable for you not to remain in the room whilst the burning off process is taking
place.
• You should leave the oven on maximum setting for 30 - 40 minutes.
The oven is fitted with
i. a lower heating element;
ii. an upper heating element, which according to the cooking mode can be used for grilling or
baking.
All functions will start after selecting the oven temperature with the thermostat knob.
FUNCTION SELECTOR KNOB
The function selector knob has different possible settings for a variety
of cooking needs as per different models.
Grill
It is used for grilling and gratinating traditional food. This function must
always be used with half-open door and control protection in position.
Medium grill
It is used for grilling and gratinating small quantities of traditional food. This function can be
used with closed door for very short times (5-10 minutes). For longer times, this function must
always be used with half-open door and control protection in position.
Lower heating element
This function is particularly used for cooking from the bottom, warming up food or sterilizing
glass jars. It is also used for food requiring long and slow cookings, i.e. casserole. This function

can be used between 50 and Max C.
Natural convection
Both the lower and upper heating elements operate together. This is the traditional cooking,
very good for roasting, ideal for biscuits, baked apples and crisping food. You obtain very good

results when cooking on a shelf adjusting the temperature between 50 and Max C.
Rotisserie
It is used for grilling food with the help of skewers. This function must always be used with half-
open door and control protection in position.

Defrosting with fan
The air at ambient temperature is circulated inside the oven for defrosting food more quickly
and without proteins adulteration.
Fan oven
Both the fan and the circular heating element operate together. The hot air adjustable between

50 and max C is evenly distributed inside the oven. This is ideal for cooking several types of
food (meat, fish) at the same time without affecting taste and smell. It is also useful for delicate
pastries.
Fan assisted total grill
The air is heated by the grill heating element is circulated by the fan and helps distribute the

heat. Ideally used between 50 and 200 C. The fan assisted grill replaces perfectly the rotisserie.
You can obtain very good results also with large quantities of poultry, sausage, or meat.
Lower heating element + fan
The air heated by the lower heating element is circulated by the fan, helps distribute the heat.

Ideally used between 50 and 200 C.This function can be used for sterilizing glass jars.
Note: All functions are not available in all models. They would vary with
individual models
THERMOSTAT KNOB

There are different temperature markings on the knob from 50 C to
0
250 C. Select the desired temperature required for achieving the result.
MINUTE MINDER
The minute minder can be used independently of an oven cooking
function for a time period of up to 60 minutes.
• To set the timer, turn the knob fully clockwise until it stops and then
turn it back anticlockwise to the required time.
• The time period that has been set will expire when the control knob
reaches zero, a brief audible signal will sound.
IMPORTANT: If you have the oven or grill in use whilst the timer is
counting down. When the countdown ends, the oven will continue to heat. You must turn off
the oven/grill using the oven function and temperature control knob.

Setting
To set, press and release the desired
function, within 5 seconds set the time
with +and –buttons
Setting the time
Press any two buttons (cooking time, end time, minutes counter) at the same time ,and +or
–button to set the desired time. This deletes any previously set programme.
The contacts are switched off and the AUTO symbol flashes.
Manual
By pressing the manual, the AUTO symbol switches off and saucepan symbol lights up.
Manual operation can only be enabled after the automatic programme is over or it has been
cancelled.
Automatic use
Press the cooking time or end time button to automatically switch from the manual to the
automatic function.
Semi-automatic use with cooking time setting
Press the cooking time button and set the desired time with +or -, the AUTO and cooking time
symbols light up continuously. The oven switch on. When the cooking end time corresponds to
the time of day, the relay and the cooking time symbol switch off. The sound signal rings and the
AUTO symbol flashes.
Semi-automatic use with end time setting
Press the end time button. The time of day appears on the display. Set the cooking end time with
+button. The AUTO and cooking time symbols light up continuously. The oven switch on. When
the cooking end time corresponds to the time of day. The AUTO symbol flashes, the sound signal
rings and both the oven and the cooking time button switch off.
Automatic use with cooking time and end time setting
Press the cooking time button and select the length of the cooking time with +or –button. The
AUTO and cooking time symbols light up continuously. The oven switches on. By pressing the
cooking end time button the next cooking end time appears on the display. Set the cooking end
time with +button. The oven and the cooking time symbol switch off. The symbol lights up again
when the time of day corresponds to the cooking start time. When the cooking time is up, the
AUTO symbol flashes, the sound signal rings, the cooking time symbol and the oven switch off.

Minutes counter
Press the minutes counter button and set the cooking time with +or –button.
The bell symbol lights up when the minutes counter is operating, when the set time is up, the
sound rings and the bell symbol switches off.
Sound signal
The sound signal starts at the end of a programme or of the minutes counter function and it lasts
for 15 minutes.
To stop it, push any one of the functions buttons.
Start programme and check
The programme starts 4 seconds after it has been set. The programme can be checked at any time
by pressing the corresponding button.
Setting error
A setting error is displayed if the time of day on the clock falls within the cooking start and end
times. To correct the setting error, change the cooking time or cooking end time the oven switches
off when a setting error is made.
Cancelling a setting
To cancel a setting, press the cooking time button and then press the –button until 00 00 appears
on the display.
OVEN LIGHT
• Turn the oven light selector knob clockwise, until it reaches the light bulb symbol.
• The oven light can be turned on, regardless of whether the oven/grill are in use.
TURBO FAN
• The turbo models are provided with a fan oven.
• The Turbo Oven cooks food from all around instead of from the top and bottom.
• This helps in even distribution of the heat in the oven for better baking results.
• The hot air seals the outer surface of the food being grilled to make it more juicy.
• It is also possible to do multi level cooking with the help of a turbo fan.
FOR OVEN WORKING WITH GAS
Switching the gas oven on
• Open the door of the appliance.
• Push the oven function and temperature control knob down slightly and then turn it
anticlockwise to the word MAX.
• Whilst it is pointed to the MAX position, fully push down this knob and hold it down.
• The gas oven should light within 15 seconds.
• Once the burner has lit, continue to keep the oven function and temperature control knob
held down for a further 10 seconds. otherwise the safety cut off will operate and block the
flow of gas.
•IMPORTANT: When you are certain that the oven burner is fully lit, close the oven door.
Then turn the oven function and temperature control knob clockwise until it reaches the
temperature that you desire.
• DO NOT turn the control knob past the MIN position, otherwise the burner may go out.
• If the gas oven does not light within 15 seconds, then release the oven function and
temperature control knob. Important: you must turn the control knob back to its original
position; otherwise gas will continue to be released.
• Wait for 1 minute, before repeating the ignition procedure again.
NOTE: When lighting you oven for the first time, it may take several times until the electric
ignition operates. This is due to air being in the gas pipe.
Switching the gas grill on
The grill has electric ignition, to light it you should do the following:
• Open the door of the oven and fit the grill defllector to the front of the appliance.
• Push the oven function and temperature control knob down slightly and then turn it
anticlockwise to the grill symbol (shown above)
• Whilst it is pointed to the grill symbol, fully push down this knob and hold it down.
• The gas grill should light within 15 seconds.
• Once the burner has lit, continue to keep the oven function and temperature control knob
held down for a further 10 seconds. Otherwise the safety cut off will operate and block the
flow of gas.
•The oven door must be left open whilst you are grilling.
• If the gas grill does not light within 15 seconds, then release the oven function and
temperature control knob. IMPORTANT: You must turn the control knob back to its
original position; otherwise gas will continue to be released.
• Wait for 1 minute, before repeating the ignition procedure again.
NOTE : When lighting you grill for the first time, it may take several times until the electric
ignition operates. This is due to air being in the gas pipe.
•IMPORTANT: You should allow the oven to cool completely before attempting to remove
the grill deflector. If you attempt to remove the grill deflector before the oven is cool, it will
be hot.
Operation of the fan
• After igniting the oven and shutting the door of the appliance, check to make sure that the
fan on the rear wall of the oven cavity is turning.
•IMPORTANT: If there is a power cut whilst the oven is in use, then you should immediately
turn the oven off until power is restored.
• If the cooling fan does not operate and there is still power to the appliance, then DO NOT
continue to use the appliance. Switch the oven off and contact the engineer to attend the
appliance.

• If the oven is in use and the door is opened, the cooling fan will stop operating. This is to
prevent excessive heat being blown in the direction of the user. When the door is shut again,
check to make sure that the fan restarts.
Cooking guidelines
• Please refer to the information given on food packaging for guidance on cooking
temperatures and times. Once familiar with the performance of your appliance,
temperatures and time can be varied to suit personal preference.
• Make sure that frozen foods are thoroughly thawed before cooking, unless the instructions
on the food packaging advise that you can “cook from frozen”.
• Before cooking, check that any unused accessories are removed from the oven.
• Place cooking trays in the centre of the oven and leave gaps between the trays to allow air to
circulate.
• Try to open the door as little as possible to view the dishes.
MOTORISED ROTISSERIE
Place the chicken or meat to be roasted on the
skewer S so that it is firmly held in place by the two
prongs F, making sure it is balanced to avoid
excessive strain on the driving gear.
• Fit the knobs protection as shown.
• Position the skewer support as shown.
• Fit the end of the skewer into the motor M at
the back of the oven.
• Fit the support into the circular groove in the
skewer.
• Unscrew and remove handle A.
• Place the oven tray with a little water on the
lowest shelf of the oven.
• Turn the knob to position or to start up
the motor
• Partially close the oven door.
• When the cooking time is up, screw the handle on the spit and remove everything from the
oven. Use an oven glove to avoid the danger of burns.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Cleaning of the oven should be carried out on a regular basis.
Great care should be taken whilst using this appliance and when following the cleaning
procedure.
• Cleaning operations must only be carried out when the oven is cook.
• The appliance should be disconnected from your mains supply before commencing any
cleaning process.
• The oven should be thoroughly cleaned before it is operated for the first time and after each
use. This will avoid residual food stuffs becoming baked on the oven cavity. After residues
have been baked on several times, they are far more difficult to remove.
• Never clean the oven surfaces by steam cleaning.
• The oven cavity should only be cleaned with warm soapy water, using either a sponge or soft
cloth. No abrasive cleaners should be used.
• Any stains that may appear on the bottom of the oven will have originated from food
splashes or spilt food, these splashes occur during the cooking process. These could
possibly be a result or the food being cooked at an excessively high temperature or being
placed in cookware that is too small.
• You should make sure that the cooking temperature that is selected is appropriate for the
food that you are cooking. You should also ensure that the food is placed in an adequately
sized dish and that you use the drip tray where appropriate.
• Outer parts of the oven should only be cleaned with warm soapy water, using either a
sponge or soft cloth. No abrasive cleaners should be used.

• If you use any form of oven cleaner on your appliance, then you must check with the
manufacturer of the cleaner that it is suitable for use on your appliance.
• Any damage that is caused to the appliance by a cleaning product will not be fixed by Glen
Appliance free of charge, even if the appliance is within the guarantee period.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Make sure that you understand the controls before using the appliance.
• Check that all of the controls on the appliance are turned off after use.
• Always stand back when opening the oven door, this will allow heat to disperse.
• Take care when removing items from the oven, as the contents may be hot.
• Always keep the oven doors closed when the oven is not in use
• Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst in use.
• Do not place heavy objects on the oven door or lean on the oven door when it is open, as this
can cause damage to the oven door hinges. Nobody should be allowed to sit or stand on any
part of the oven.
• Do not heat up unopened food containers, as pressure can build up which may cause the
container to burst.
• This oven is only for household use.
• Do not use the oven door handle to move the appliance, such as to remove it from the
packaging.
• Do not install the product next to curtains or soft furnishings.
• Do not allow electrical fittings or cables to be in contact with hot areas of the product.
• The product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product by a person responsible for
their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Never roast or bake on the oven base.
• Oversized foods or utensils should not be inserted in the Oven as they may cause fire or risk
of electric shock.
• Do not place cardboard, plastic, paper or similar material in the oven.
• The product complies with all current safety norms and standards, however Glen do wish to
emphasise that compliance does not remove the fact that surfaces will become hot during
use and retain heat after operation.
• Do not store or use flammable liquids or items in the vicinity of this product.
• Do not spray aerosols in the vicinity of this product while it is in operation.
• We also advise that great care is taken during use and cleaning operations.
• A steam cleaner is not to be used on this product.
• Heat, steam and moisture may be created during use, take care to avoid injury and ensure
that the room is adequately ventilated. If prolonged use occurs, additional ventilation may
be required.
• Glen declines any responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property as a result of
improper use or installation of this product.
• Although the glass used in the product is toughened (tempered) but it is not unbreakable
therefore it should be handled carefully. It may break because of exposure to sudden
extreme temperatures, impact due to sudden fall of a heavy or pointed object and certain
kind of stresses. In the unlikely event of the breakage of glass please note that it is not
covered under warranty and will be replaced on payment basis only. Glen will not be
responsible for injury or damage to any persons or property as a result of the breakage of the
glass.
• All repairs should be carried out only by approved service agent.
• It is a legal requirement that all gas appliances are installed by competent persons in
accordance with the Gas Safety Installation and use Regulations.
• For reasons of safety, it is in your best interests to ensure compliance with the law.
