It’s engineered to crush heavy-duty jobs. Drop a big payload into its bed and its
improved suspension will push right back up. Its maximum payload capacity
is now a substantial 6335 lbs1and is a 20 percent increase over our comparable
2010 models. Its maximum Front Gross Axle Weight Rating of 6000 lbs2is an
impressive 25 percent increase with the optional Snow Plow Prep. These numbers
are built on a powerful foundation. Sierra HDs have an all-new chassis design,
including a high-strength, fully boxed steel frame, an increased wheelbase, a
wider track and hydraulic body mounts under the cabins of the Extended Cab

steep gradients far less stressful, with many braking and control
innovations. Sierra HD can help make trailering a full load from
Denverto Grand Junction (abeautiful 4-hour drivethrough the
Rockies) a lot less hairy. It also has an impressive 20,000 lbs
maximum fifth-wheel trailering capacity.
