Dear User of the GOVECS scooter,
We are excited that you have made the decision to purchase the
GOVECS scooter and it is our pleasure to welcome you among the
great number of GOVECS scooter drivers.
This manual includes instructions concerning proper use,
maintenance, and care of your GOVECS scooter. For your own safety
and optimal comfort of usage we advise you to carefully read this
manual before the first use.
Proper maintenance of the vehicle, observing all usage instructions
included in this manual and visiting GOVECS service stations for
regular inspections will ensure faultless operation of your scooter.
Have a comfortable and safe journey!

For your own safety get familiar with the following instructions
SAFETY
Whenever this symbol appears in the manual, it indicates a situation where not following the instructions may result in
damage to the scooter or injury to the user.
The batteries installed in GOVECS scooters, are subject to recycling according to the Directive 2006/66/EC of the
European Parliament and of the Council of 6 September 2006 on batteries and accumulators and waste batteries and
accumulators and repealing Directive 91/157/EEC. Damaged, spent and malfunctioning batteries need tobereturned to
the GOVECS service station or collection point authorised by the manufacturer.
• The vehicle is permitted to be driven on public roads in the European Union. Local regulations must be followed regarding age
restrictions,driver’s licence, etc.
• The scooter is designed to be used on hardened roads. It cannot be used as an off-road vehicle.
• The scooter is designed for use with an ambient temperature above +4°C. The use in temperatures as low as -5°C is possible
with reduced performance (i.e. the LCD display may react slower).
• Disassembly of the battery is not permitted.
• The supplied off-board charger is designed for indoor use only.
• Any repairs to the scooter should be done by an authorised service centre.
• GOVECS does not take responsibility for inappropriate use of the vehicle.
• We recommend the user to read this manual carefully in order to use the vehicle in a proper and safe manner.

Pre-ride activities
Before riding the scooter make sure that:
• The battery is unplugged from the charger and plugged into the
scooter's system.
• The battery is sufficiently charged.
• The lights, turn signals and horn function properly.
• The mirrors are adjusted for your convenience.
• The tyres have correct air pressure and proper tread depth.
• The brakes work properly.
• The brake fluid level is correct
• The brake pads and discs are not worn out.
• The handlebar turns fully to left and right without resistance.
Clothing
• Always wear a motorcycle helmet.
• Wear safe, tight-fitting and comfortable clothing.
• Wear proper boots (no high heels, flip-flops, or similar open
footgear).
Riding technique
• Always follow traffic regulations.
• Hold the handlebar with two hands.
• Keep both feet on the footrests.
• Take special caution when riding on wet surfaces, dirt,
cobblestone, ice or snow.
• Do not use cell phones or other devices that may cause
distraction while riding.
Cargo and passengers
• The maximum load must not exceed 66 kg (in addition
to thedriver).
• Maximum scooter weight must not be exceeded 200 kg
• The scooter is allowed to carry 1 passenger (2 with optional
additional footrests).
After riding
• Check if the battery needs charging.
• Leave the scooter in a place where it’s safe from theft
orvandalism and where it doesn’t block the traffic.
• Park the scooter under a roof or in a garage, where it's safe from
rain and humidity.

High/low beam
• Switches the front light position.
• Only use the high beam according to traffic regulations.
• Be aware that the high beam can blind other drivers.
Turn signals
• Push left or right to activate.
• Push again to deactivate.
Horn
• Only use the horn according to traffic regulations.
• Continuous use will damage the horn.
Menu selector & confirm button
• Used for navigating through the display menu.
• Check the display page for details.
Rear brake lever
• The left-hand brake lever is responsible for braking with the
rear wheel.

Throttle
• Twist backward to accelerate.
• Release to decelerate (engine brake).
• Always obey traffic regulations and speed limits.
• If possible, avoid turning the lever too quickly.
Front brake lever
• The right-hand brake lever is responsible for braking with
the front wheel.
• The front brake is responsible for most of the scooter's
braking power.
• Avoid flipping over the handlebar during emergency braking!

Display Elements
• If the battery is overheated, the battery level indicators
will blink and the warning sign will appear.
• The warning sign indicates that the
scooter’s power is being reduced. This effect
i s called derating. While the derating process,
you can continue riding the scooter.
Usage of scooter
• Please note and remember how to use the brakes. Always
use both brakes in order to prevent overheating and too much
wear.
• Please note that this light scooter is homologated as a
two-seater but optimized to be a one-seater. If the weight is
too high, there will be a risk of power reduction.

Switching the displayed data
• Press the Menu selector button on the back of the left-hand
grip to switch between the displayed data.
Available data:
• Odometer & Trip distance
• Time & Data
• Range & Average range
• Voltage & Power
Menu settings
• Hold the Confirm button to enter the settings menu.
Depending on the previously display data the menu will have the
following options:
• Reset trip & km/h / mph
• Set time & Set date & 12 h/24 h
• Reset range/average
Move between the options with the menu selector button, confirm
selection with the Confirm button.

Ignition turned ON (right position)
• All the functions are active.
• Scooter is ready for riding.
• The key cannot be removed.
Ignition turned OFF (left position)
• All functions are turned off.
• Scooter can be pushed.
• Scooter can be safely handled.
• The key can be removed.
Safety cap
• When leaving the scooter parked, put the safety cap on the
ignition to prevent water and dirt from getting inside.
An electric vehicle makes no sound when turned on!

Positioning the scooter on the stand
• Position the scooter on an even ground and extend the stand fully.
• The scooter leans slightly to the side when resting on the stand.
Getting the scooter off the stand
• Hold the handlebar firmly and fold the stand with your leg.
Stand sensor
• The stand is equipped with a sensor that prevents riding the
scooter when the it's unfolded.
• When the stand if unfolded the stand sensor icon appears on the
display.

MIRROR
Adjusting the mirror
• Loosen the nut at the base of the mirror with a wrench.
• Rotate the mirror until you can clearly see the area behind the
scooter.
• Make sure you have an unobstructed view of your surroundings.
• Secure the mirror nuts tightly with a wrench before riding.
Do not ride a scooter with adamaged or
improperly adjusted mirror!

STEERING LOCK
Locking the steering
• To protect your scooter from theft, you can lock the steering
with the included lock.
• Open the lock with the key and attach it to the bracket on the
front left suspension leg.
• The key for the steering lock is not the same as the ignition key.
A separete key is provided with the scooter.

Storage
• Unlock the glove box with the key.
• It can be used to store small items like a wallet or a phone.
• Cargo space is 1.5 litres.

USB SOCKET
Using the USB socket
• The socket is located in the glove box.
• It can be used to charge devices such as smartphones,
GPSdevices, etc.
• For safety reasons, do not use electronic devices while riding.
• Charging voltage 5 V
• Amperage 1 A/2.1 A
