Tha k you for purchasi g a CRANE Ultraso ic Humidifier. Each u it has bee
ma ufactured to e sure safety a d reliability. Before usi g for the first time, please
read the i structio s carefully a d keep them for further refere ce.
WARNING!
READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. Failure to follow all of
the i structio s listed below may result i electric shock, fire a d/or serious perso al
i jury.
1. DO NOT carry Water Tank by handle when it is filled with water. It is
advisable to carry filled Water Tank with two hands.
2. DO NOT operate outdoors. This humidifier is intended for indoor use only.
3. Always have water i the Water Ta k whe operati g the u it.
4. Use o ly clea , cool tap water to fill the Water Ta k (filtered or distilled water is
recomme ded to avoid white dust if tap water is too hard; demi eralizatio filters
are also available for purchase at www.cra e-usa.com). DO NOT use hot water.
5. Be sure that the Water Ta k Cap is firmly tighte ed o Water Ta k. Always have
the Mist Lid i place while the u it is operati g. Place the humidifier so the mist
aims away from childre , walls, fur iture a d electrical applia ces.
6. Use o ly a 110-120VAC outlet. ALWAYS plug and unplug unit with dry hands
to avoid electric shock.
7. Never operate the u it with a damaged cord or plug.
8. Always place the u it o a smooth, flat, li t-free, o -metallic, waterproof a d
level surface a d positio u it away from direct su light. Keep the cord away from
heated surfaces a d areas where it could be walked o or tripped over. U plug the
u it whe ot i use a d whe ever you clea or move the u it.
9. Do ot add medicatio of a y type i to the Water Basi or Water Ta k. Do ot
cover a y ope i gs o the u it or i sert objects i to a y ope i gs.
10. The u it should ot be left u atte ded i a closed room as the air could become
saturated a d leave co de satio o walls or fur iture. Leave room door partly
ope whe humidifier is bei g operated.
11. Whe clea i g the i side of the humidifier, keep water away from the Fa Ve t.
Turn off and unplug the humidifier to wipe the exterior (except the electrical
co trols) with a damp cloth. Humidifier requires regular clea i g. Please refer to
the CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS i this ma ual.
12. Do ot tilt or tip the humidifier or attempt to empty or fill it while it is i operatio .
13. Do ot use a deterge t to clea a y parts of the u it that co tai water. Deterge t
film dissolved i the water supply ca i terfere with the output of the u it. I stead,
always use white vi egar mixed with water to clea the humidifier.

be supplied by the user.
THIS HU IDIFIER IS NOT A TOY!
Do not let your child play with this humidifier.
Serious i jury a d
electrocutio might be possible. This humidifier has to be operated by a adult o ly.
Childre should be supervised to e sure that they do ot play with the humidifier.
SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS!
CAUTION:
A short Power Supply Cord is provided to reduce the risk of perso al
i jury resulti g from becomi g e ta gled i or trippi g over a lo ger cord. Exte sio
cords are available from local hardware stores a d may be used if care is exercised i
their use. If a exte sio cord is required, special care a d cautio is ecessary. Also
the exte sio cord must be (1) marked with a electrical rati g of 125 V a d at least 13
A., 1625 W., a d (2) the cord must be arra ged so that it will ot drape over the
cou tertop or tabletop where it ca be pulled o by childre or accide tly tripped over.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electric circuit is overloaded by other applia ces, your humidifier a d/or
applia ces may ot operate properly. The humidifier should be operated o a separate
electrical circuit from other operati g applia ces.
POLARIZED PLUG
This humidifier has a polarized plug (o e blade is wider tha the
other). As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this
plug is i te ded to fit i a polarized outlet o ly o e way. If the plug
does ot fit fully i the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does ot fit,
co tact a qualified electricia . Do ot attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
SAFETY WARNING
Although your humidifier is easy to operate, for your safety, the below war i gs must be
followed:
1. Do ot place the humidifier ear a heat source.
2. Never leave the humidifier u atte ded while co ected to the electrical outlet.
3. To avoid a y accide ts, ever cover the Mist Lid whe the humidifier is i operatio .
4. Use the humidifier o a smooth, flat, li t-free, o -metallic, waterproof, a d level
surface away from water.
5. Do ot u plug from the wall socket by pulli g o the supply cord.
6. The humidifier must be u plugged:
A. Before either filli g or emptyi g the Water Basi a d/or Water Ta k.
B. Before a y clea i g or mai te a ce is performed.
C. After each use.
D. If it appears to be faulty.

OPERATION AND USE
BEFORE EACH USE
CHECK HU IDIFIER PLACE ENT
Place the Humidifier o a elevated, o -metallic, li t-free, waterproof, level surface at
least 2 feet above the floor.
•DO NOT place the humidifier o carpet or a towel. The fa ve t is located o the
bottom of the humidifier base. The fa ve t MUST NOT be obstructed.
•DO NOT place the humidifier o a wood surface or ear fur iture that ca be
damaged by too much moisture.
CHECK WATER LEVEL SENSOR
Make sure that the Water Level Se sor is secured properly a d ot obstructed.
CAUTION
DO NOT operate the humidifier without water in the Water Tank.
DO NOT plug or unplug the Power Cord with wet hands as electric
shock could occur.

ASSE BLY
ALWAYS use fresh cool water when operating the humidifier.
1. Tur Water Ta k upside dow a d u screw Water Ta k
Cap. NOTE: The ope i g ext to the water ta k cap is
the mist cha el. The mist cha el is e closed i plastic.
The mist outlet cha el is separate from the water i the
water ta k. See IG. 4 #13 page 4.
2. Fill Water Ta k with cool water. DO NOT fill water all the way to the rim.
DO NOT CARRY FULL WATER TANK BY HANDLE.
ALWAYS HOLD WATER TANK WITH TWO HANDS.
DO NOT use hot water. Use cool tap water.
DO NOT add a y medicatio , esse tial oils, or salt.
DO NOT pour water i to Mist Outlet Cha el.
3. Screw Water Ta k Cap
back o to Water Ta k.
Tur the Water Ta k over a d place o Humidifier Base,
maki g sure it fits perfectly.
Note: Do ot attempt to move the humidifier while
Water Ta k is placed o the Humidifier Base. Doi g so
may cause leakage of water a d/or Humidifier Base to
overfill.
4. Plug the power cord i to a wall socket a d tur o the u it by usi g the Co trol
K ob.
5. The Power I dicator Light will illumi ate i red. Withi a few seco ds, it will switch
to gree , i dicati g that there is e ough water i the Humidifier Base. Mist will
begi emitti g through the Mist Lid.
6. Use the Co trol K ob to adjust the i te sity of the mist output. It is best to have
the mist k ob at a medium setti g.
SET THE CORRECT HU IDITY OUTPUT:
Adjust the Co trol K ob so that the mist
rises up to be absorbed by the room air.
Do ot set Co trol K ob too high, as the
mist ca ot be absorbed by the air a d
may accumulate o the surfaces arou d
the humidifier.
7. Whe the humidifier ru s out of water,
the Power I dicator Light will tur red
a d the mist output will stop. This is a safety feature to preve t the humidifier from
possibly overheati g a d damagi g the Nebulizer. Tur the humidifier off a d
u plug the u it before removi g a d refilli g the water ta k.
Note: The Power Indicator Light on the humidifier will remain on. The red
light indicates that the humidifier is turned on and needs to be refilled.

A NOTE ABOUT HU IDITY
It is best to keep the humidity level at about 40%-50% of relative humidity.
I cold weather, wi dows a d eve some walls may fog or develop frost from
excessive i door humidity. If this occurs, reduce the mist output setti g to avoid
damage from co de sed water drippi g o to wi dowsills.
Too much humidity i the room may allow moisture to accumulate o surfaces where
bacteria a d fu gi ca grow. Moisture that gathers may also damage fur iture a d
walls, especially wallpaper.
To reduce excessive humidity, especially i small rooms, leave the room door ope
a d adjust the mist i te sity co trol setti g.
AINTENANCE
It is importa t to keep ultraso ic cool mist humidifiers clea . Clea i g a d disi fecti g
o a regular basis is importa t for mai tai i g the performa ce of your humidifier
I PORTANT
DO NOT leave water i Water Ta k or Humidifier Base whe u it is ot i use as it may
result i the buildup of mi eral deposits a d bacteria that ca i hibit the output
efficie cy of the humidifier. If water remai s i the Water Ta k for more tha a day or
two, bacterial growth is possible.
DAILY AINTENANCE
1. Always tur off a d u plug from outlet before clea i g.
2. Empty water from the water ta k a d humidifier base daily.
3. Wipe a d dry humidifier base with a clea , dry cloth or paper towel.
4. Replace the water ta k.
WEEKLY AINTENANCE
1. Always tur off a d u plug from outlet before clea i g.
2. Empty water from the water ta k a d humidifier base.
3. Fill the water ta k with about a half-gallo of warm water. Add 2 Tablespoo s of
white vi egar. Shake vigorously a d let sit for 20-30 mi utes. Shake vigorously
agai a d empty the water. Ri se water ta k.
4. Make similar white vi egar/water solutio . Pour i to humidifier base. Let sit for
20-30 mi utes, a d the empty. Ri se humidifier base. Wipe dry with a clea ,
soft cloth.
5. Wipe the exterior surface water ta k a d humidifier base with a soft, dry cloth.
NEVER IMMERSE HUMIDIFIER BASE IN WATER.
END-OF-SEASON AINTENANCE & STORING YOUR HU IDIFIER
1. Always tur off a d u plug from outlet before clea i g.
2. Empty water from the water ta k a d humidifier base.
3. Disi fect water ta k a d humidifier base with the white vi egar a d water
solutio .
4. Make sure that water ta k has air dried without the water ta k cap secured.
5. Make sure the humidifier base a d water ta k are completely dry before e d of
seaso storage. Store the humidifier i a cool dry place.
6. DO NOT place a y heavy items o top of humidifier duri g storage as this may
result i possible damage of the humidifier.
7. Store the cord i a clea , dry locatio away from metal objects. Always check
the plug before use to e sure metal items have ot become attached.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
DO NOT attempt to repair the motor or nebulizer yourself. If the humidifier
continues to not operate please contact Crane Customer Care: 888-599-0992 or

green:
E sure that the water ta k cap is secured properly to
water ta k.
Empty out water i humidifier base. Place filled water
ta k o to empty humidifier base.
Clea Water Level Se sor. To clea the water level
se sor, s ap off the plastic cap from the pi . Remove
the water level se sor float a d clea by wipi g the parts
with a soft, damp cloth. Replace the parts by first
putti g the water float o to the pi a d replaci g the
plastic cap o pi .
If humidifier does not
have any power:
E sure u it is properly plugged i to a power outlet.
Check that the Co trol K ob is tur ed to the ON positio .
If Power O i dicator light does ot come o , co tact

If there is a strange
odor:
Clea the Water Ta k with the water a d vi egar solutio
a d ri se with clea water.
Leave the empty Water Ta k ope for some time
(without the Water Ta k Cap attached) i a cool place.
The power indicator light
is green, but there is no
mist being emitted:
Check that there is water i the Water Ta k.
Make sure that othi g is blocki g the Mist Lid.
Check that the Fa Ve t o the bottom of the humidifier
is ot blocked.
Empty a d ri se the Humidifier Base with cool tap water.
Check for possible mi eral deposits o the Water Level
Se sor a d Nebulizer.
White dust appears and
settles outside the
humidifier:
Area tap water may have too ma y mi erals. Cha ge to
filtered or distilled water or purchase a Cra e
demi eralizatio filter cartridge (www.cra e-usa.com).
