1.1 WORK AREA SAFETY
1.2 PERSONAL SAFETY
1.3 OPERATION SAFETY
■Prepare your workspace before turning on your machine. Ensuring a clean and
well-lit workspace should always be the first step in using your Green Machine®
Snow Thrower.
■Clear the area before each use. Remove all objects such as rocks, broken glass,
nails, wire, or string that can be thrown or become entangled in the auger.
■Never operate your power tool in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
■Do not use on a graveled surface.
■Keep children away and pets away. All non-operators should be kept at a safe distance
from the work area.
■Don’t force the snowblower. It will perform better and be safer at the rate at which it
was designed to operate.
■Keep hands away from moving parts. Keep clear of the discharge opening at
all times.
■Stay alert and entirely focused when operating a power tool. Never use your cordless
snow blower while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. You should also avoid using
your machine while you are feeling overly tired or ill.
■Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. They can be caught in moving
parts. Wear protective clothing, use work gloves, long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and
safety footwear is recommended when working outdoors. Wear protective hair covering
to contain long hair.
■Always wear proper protective equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, eye
protection, dust masks, non-slip safety shoes, hard hats, and hearing protection.
■Keep your balance by maintaining a firm stance and footing. Always be sure of your
footing, particularly on slopes or stairs.
■Do not grip the power tool by any non-insulated metal surface located on the machine.
■Maintain personal safety standards for all devices being used for a task. This may
include dust collection tools, lighting, and additional power tools.
■Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the OFF position before connecting
a battery pack, picking up, or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on
the switch or energizing power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
■Do not start the motor if you are standing in front of the discharge chute. Keep away
from the discharge opening.
■If the snow blower strikes a foreign object, follow these steps:
1. Stop and turn off the snow blower.
2. Remove the battery pack(s).

■Never operate the machine at high transport speeds on slippery surfaces. Use care
when reversing or pulling the machine towards you.
■Use the snow blower sideways across the face of slopes; never up and down.
Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on slopes.
■Do not operate the machine on or near drop-offs, ditches, or embankments.
■Do not tilt the machine when switching on the motor, except if the machine must be
tilted for starting. In this case, do not tilt it more than necessary and lift only the part
which is away from the operator.
■Never operate the snow blower with a defective auger housing or scraper bar in place.
■Use only attachments and accessories approved by the snow blower manufacturer
(such as wheel weights, counterweights, cabs, etc.).
■Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight to be sure the equipment is in safe working
condition.
■Replace worn or damaged parts for safety; Use only genuine replacement parts and
accessories.
■Do not overload the machine capacity by attempting to clear snow at too fast a rate.
■Never direct discharge at bystanders or allow anyone in front of the unit.
■Should the unit start to vibrate abnormally. stop the motor and check immediately
for the cause. Vibration is generally a sign that the tool is damaged.
■Stop the motor whenever you leave the operating position, before unclogging the auger
housing or discharge guide, and when making any repairs, adjustments, or inspections.
■Do not touch the auger before battery packs are removed and the auger has come
to a complete stop.
■Take all possible precautions when leaving the machine unattended by removing
the battery and stopping the motor.
■Disengage power to the auger when the snow blower is transported or not in use.
■Hand contact with the rotating auger assembly inside the discharge chute is the
most common cause of injury associated with snow blowers. Never use your hand to
clean out the discharge chute.
■To clear the chute:
1. Shut the motor off
2. Wait 10 seconds to be sure the auger assembly blades have stopped rotating.
3. Always use a non-metal tool, not your hands.
■Remove the battery packs in each of the following situations:
◦ whenever leaving the machine unattended.
◦ before clearing a blockage.
◦ before checking, cleaning, or working on the machine.
◦ after striking a foreign object. Inspect the machine for damage and make repairs before
restarting and operating the machine.
◦ whenever the machine starts vibrating abnormally. Immediately inspect the snow blower
for any damage and replace or repair any damaged parts before restarting and operating
the snow blower and check for and tighten any loose parts.
■Check that the power switch is off before inserting the battery pack. Your battery pack
should always be removed, and your cordless tool stored securely with the power switch
off between each use.
■Power your snow blower with the Green Machine® battery packs only.
■Recharge only with the Green Machine® charger GMBC6200 provided for use with
the equipment.
■Take special care in storing your battery pack. Keeping your batteries away from other
metal objects such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects
will ensure safe storage.

discharged from your battery pack in extreme cases, but it is important to be prepared.
If contact accidentally occurs, flush the exposed area with water immediately. If liquid
contacts the eyes seek medical attention.
■Avoid excessive temperatures. If your battery pack overheats to 212°F or more, the battery
is at risk of exploding. Be mindful of lengthy exposure to intense sun or fire.
■Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or tool outside
the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures
outside the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
■After use and before storage, remove the battery packs from the machine and check
for damage.
■Check shear bolts, motor mounted bolts, etc., at frequent intervals for proper tightness
to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.
■Run the machine a few minutes after throwing snow to prevent freeze-up of the auger.
■Allow the motor to cool before storing it in any enclosure.
■When servicing the auger be aware that, even though the machine is switched off,
the auger can still move freely.
1.4 BATTERY USE AND CARE

GREEN MACHINE 62V CORDLESS SNOW BLOWER GREEN MACHINE 62V CORDLESS SNOW BLOWER

■Do not dispose of the battery in a fire. The cell may explode. Check with local codes for
possible special disposal instructions. When disposing of secondary cells or batteries,
keep cells or batteries of different electrochemical systems separate from each other.
■Do not open or damage the battery. Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause
damage to the eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed. Additionally, if your battery pack
has been damaged, seek to dispose of it properly and do not attempt to use it again.
■Exercise care in handling the battery in order not to short it with conducting materials
such as rings, bracelets, and keys. The battery or conductor may overheat and cause burns.
■Keep the battery out of reach of children and in the original package until ready to use.
■Keep batteries and chargers away from children.
■If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and seek
to repair it.
■Do not use a visibly damaged battery pack or tool.
■Store in a secure setting away from other conductive materials including other batteries.
■Do not subject cells or batteries to mechanical shocks.
■Clean your battery pack regularly to avoid a poor connection.
■Do not maintain secondary cells and batteries on charge when not in use.
■Remove the battery from the equipment when not in use.
■Use the battery only in conjunction with your power tool. This measure alone protects
the battery against dangerous overload.
■Keep the battery charger away from rain or moisture. Penetration of water in the battery
charger may cause damage and increase the chance of injury.
■Do not charge other batteries. The battery charger is suitable only for charging lithium-ion
batteries within the listed voltage range. Otherwise, there is a danger of fire and explosion.
■Keep the battery charger clean. Contamination can lead to a danger of an electric shock.
■Before each use, check the battery charger, cable, and plug. If damage is detected, do
not use the battery charger. Never open the battery charger yourself. Have repairs
performed only by a qualified technician and only using original spare parts. Damaged
battery chargers, cables, and plugs increase the risk of an electric shock.
■Do not operate the battery charger on easily flammable surfaces (e. g., paper, textiles,
etc.) or surroundings. The heating of the battery charger during the charging process can
pose a fire hazard.
1.5 SAFETY WARNINGS FOR BATTERY AND CHARGER ■Use the battery only to power your power tool. Do not use your battery on other tools or
for any other purposes.
