1General Information
1.1 Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the HighV Inspection Camera. This booklet has been written to
help you familiarize yourself quickly an easily with the full range of features an
applications that this
pro uct
has to offer.
The HighV Inspection Camera uses a shiel e , high resolution wireless camera
provi ing the user with a tool to con uct close up inspections of live electricity assets
up to 345kV phase to phase.
The camera is installe on a hotstick an gui e from the groun or bucket truck
surveying energize lines or equipment. A live wireless image is transmitte back to
an An roi ® tablet running the Gri Sense HighV Camera App either attache to the
user en of the hotstick or alternatively han hel by supporting personnel.
The live image streaming from the camera can be capture by the touch of a button
within the An roi App. The images are store to an SD car within the tablet for further
inspection or use in a report.
1.2 Warranty
The HighV Inspection Camera is covere by a 1 year manufacturer’s
warranty. Please contact Gri Sense in or er to make a warranty claim.
Please inspect this new pro uct for any amage. Report any efects to your supplier, or
refer to the contact numbers in part 4 of this booklet for manufacturer etails.

1.4 pproach Limits
The Live Line Inspection Camera is manufacture for safe use on energize equipment
up to an inclu ing 345kV phase to phase.

Users must observe hotstick manufacturer’s ratings and standard approach
limits when using the HighV Camera. The HighV Camera offers NO user
protection.
•We advise that users add an additional 300mm/1’ clearance to the
standard hotstick approach limits at all times when mounting the screen to
the hotstick.

1.5 Camera Components
•Camera:
A high resolution camera an transmitter are house in an
insulate case that uses a stan ar universal spline (32mm) sunrise
attachment for connection to a hotstick. A fiberglass ro (touch probe)
attaches to the mounting bracket an is set to the camera’s focal length,
protecting the camera from irect lens amage. In a ition, a high intensity
LED light ring is embe e in the camera for use in low light applications.
Battery life of the camera is approximately 2 hours from full charge
(without LED illumination).

•ndroid Tablet: The An roi Tablet is use as the vi eo receiver an image
capture evice. The An roi Tablet provi es the operator with a live
streaming high-resolution vi eo from the camera that can be han hel or
alternatively for single operator applications, attache to the lower part of
the hotstick with the supplie bracket. The “snapshot” button within the
An roi Tablet App recor s images irectly onto the An roi Tablet. The
An roi Tablet inclu es a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack that
provi es 7 hours continuous use from full charge.

charging evices. This inclu es charging at:

Also inclu e in the kit is a DC Inverter to provi e in-vehicle charging of the An roi
tablet an the Camera battery pack.

1.7 Cautions
•Rating: The HighV Camera is rate for use on energize equipment up to 345 kV
phase to phase. At no time shoul it be use aroun or come into contact with
higher voltages.

•Inspecting Energize Equipment: When using the camera to inspect energize
equipment, the operator must a here to all safety requirements an ratings of all
equipment inclu ing (but not limite to) the hotstick, bucket truck, approve
clearances, approach limits an work practice stan ar s.
•Touch Probe Ro : When operating the HighV Camera, the touch probe MUST be
installe an use at all times. This ro not only ensures the optimum focuse
istance for viewing equipment, but also protects the lens, lens cover an LED lights
from impact amage.

2.2 Operation
•To Power Camera On/Off: Press the power button locate on the battery mo ule.

3Troubleshooting
3.1 ndroid Tablet does not find camera
1. Check that the camera is turne on an that the LED’s are illuminate
2. Re-scan for camera
3.2 ndroid Tablet is stuck in “negotiating connection” mode
1. Restart the HighV Camera App
a. If the problem persists:
i. Power the camera on/off
ii. Verify that camera battery is charge
