Lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig,
bevor Sie dieses Gerät benutzen! Befolgen Sie
alle Sicherheitshinweise, um Schäden wegen
falscher Benutzung zu vermeiden!
Bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung zum
späteren Nachschlagen auf. Sollte das Gerät
an Dritte weitergegeben werden, so muss diese
Bedienungsanleitung ebenfalls mit ausgehändigt
werden.
Das Gerät ist nur für den privaten Gebrauch
bestimmt.
Das Gerät ist nur zur Nahrungsmittelzuberei-
tung geeignet.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht für Zwecke, für
die es nicht bestimmt ist.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht im Freien oder
im Badezimmer.
Überprüfen Sie, ob die Netzspannung auf
dem Typenschild mit Ihrer lokalen Versor-
gungsspannung übereinstimmt. Die einzige
Art, das Gerät von der Stromversorgung zu
trennen, ist den zu ziehen.
Falls nicht vorhanden, wird als zusätzlicher
Schutz die Installation einer Fehlerstrom-
Schutzeinrichtung (RCD) mit einem Bemes-
sungsauslösestrom von nicht mehr als 30
mA empfohlen. Fragen Sie Ihren
Tauchen Sie Gerät, Netzkabel oder Netzste-
cker nicht in Wasser oder andere Flüssig-
keiten; halten Sie es nicht unter fließendes
Wasser und reinigen Sie keine Teile in der
Geschirrspülmaschine.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nach der Be-
nutzung des Gerätes, vor der Reinigung des
Gerätes, bevor Sie den Raum verlassen oder
wenn ein Fehler auftritt aus der Steckdose.
Ziehen Sie den nicht am Kabel

Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel nicht um das
Gerät.
Vermeiden Sie Schäden am Netzkabel,
indem Sie es nicht quetschen, knicken oder

entsprechen den geltenden Sicherheitsnor-
men. Wenn das Gerät oder das Netzkabel
beschädigt ist, muss es vom Händler, einem
Service-Zentrum oder von einer gleichwer-
tig qualifizierten und autorisierten Person
repariert oder ausgetauscht werden, um Ge-
fährdungen zu vermeiden. Fehlerhafte oder
unqualifizierte Reparaturen können Gefahren
und Risiken für den Benutzer verursachen.
Öffnen Sie das Gerät unter keinen Umstän-
den. Für Schäden aufgrund von falscher
Benutzung wird keine Haftung übernommen.
Halten Sie das Gerät von Kindern fern.
Das Gerät darf von folgenden Personen
– einschließlich Kindern – nicht benutzt wer-
den: solche mit eingeschränkten physischen,
sensorischen oder psychischen Fähigkeiten
und solche mit Mangel an Erfahrung und
Wissen. Für letztere gilt dies nicht, falls sie im
Gebrauch des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden
oder dies unter Aufsicht einer für die Sicher-
heit verantwortlichen Person benutzen. Kin-
der sollten stets soweit beaufsichtigt werden,
dass sie nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
Lassen Sie das Gerät während der Benut-
zung nicht unbeaufsichtigt. Seien Sie äußerst
vorsichtig, wenn Sie das Gerät in der Nähe
von Kindern und Personen mit eingeschränk-

Fähigkeiten benutzen.
Reinigen Sie vor der ersten Benutzung des
Gerätes alle Teile. Beachten Sie weitere

Stellen Sie immer sicher, dass das Gerät vor
der Reinigung vollständig abgekühlt ist.
Trocknen Sie das Gerät und alle Zubehörtei-
le, bevor Sie die Teile anbringen und bevor
Sie das Gerät mit der Stromversorgung
verbinden.
Betreiben oder platzieren Sie das Gerät
niemals auf oder in der Nähe von heißen
Oberflächen wie Gasbrennern, elektrischen
Kochplatten oder heißen Öfen.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe
von brennbaren, entzündlichen Orten, Ma-
terialien oder Möbeln. Das Gerät darf nicht
mit brennbaren Materialien z. B. Vorhängen,
Textilien, Wänden usw. in Kontakt geraten
oder von diesen abgedeckt werden. Stellen
Sie sicher, dass das Gerät immer in einer
sicheren Entfernung von brennbaren Materia-
lien und Möbeln gehalten wird.
Verwenden Sie kein Papier, keine Pappe,
keinen Kunststoff in oder unter dem Gerät.
Betreiben Sie das Gerät nur mit den mitgelie-
ferten Teilen.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nie mit feuchten oder
nassen Händen.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät immer auf einer
stabilen, ebenen, sauberen und trockenen
Oberfläche.
Stolpern Sie nicht versehentlich über das
Netzkabel, wenn das Gerät in Betrieb ist.
Stellen Sie das Gerät so auf, dass der Netz-
stecker immer zugänglich ist.
Während des Betriebs können zugängliche
Teile des Gerätes sehr heiß werden.
Kleben Sie keine Fremdkörper an das Gerät.
Das Gerät darf nicht mit einer externen
Zeitschaltuhr oder einem selbstständigen
Fernbedienungssystem betrieben werden.
Sollte sich heißes Öl oder Fett entzünden,
ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose,
bevor Sie geeignete Maßnahmen zur Brand-
bekämpfung ergreifen.
Um eine Feuergefahr zu vermeiden, reinigen
Sie die Grillplatte regelmäßig. Achten Sie
während der Benutzung immer auf ausrei-
chende Belüftung.
Wenn das Gerät beginnt, Rauch abzugeben,
beenden Sie sofort den Betrieb und trennen
Sie das Gerät von der Stromversorgung, be-
vor Sie die Nahrungsmittel entnehmen. Seien
Sie vorsichtig, die Nahrungsmittel können
sehr heiß sein.
Gießen Sie kein Wasser auf das Gerät,
besonders dann nicht, wenn es noch mit der
Stromversorgung verbunden ist.
Das Gerät kann nur eingeschaltet werden,
wenn der Stecker mit einer Steckdose verbun-
den ist.
Verwenden Sie keine Werkzeuge oder
Gegenstände im Gerät. Metallgegenstände
können einen Kurzschluss verursachen oder
zu einem Stromschlag führen. Beschädigen
Sie weder Heizelemente noch Mechanik.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht als Wärme-
quelle.

Vor der ersten Benutzung
1Entfernen Sie sämtliches Verpackungsmate-
rial und entsorgen Sie es entsprechend den
geltenden gesetzlichen Bestimmungen.
2Reinigen Sie das Gerät, bevor Sie es zum ers-
ten Mal benutzen (siehe Abschnitt “Reinigung
und Pflege”).
3Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät aufrecht
auf einer stabilen, ebenen, sauberen, trocke-
nen und rutschfesten Oberfläche steht.
Achtung
■Beim ersten Betrieb kann Rauch aufgrund
von Produktionsrückständen entstehen. Dies
bedeutet aber nicht, dass das Gerät defekt ist.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät beim ersten Einschal-
ten ohne Nahrungsmittel. Sorgen Sie für eine
ausreichende Raumbelüftung.
Grillpositionen
Geschlossene Position
Die geschlossene Position verwenden Sie, um
bei hohen Temperaturen zu grillen. Die obere
und die untere Grillplatte ist mit dem Grillgut in
Kontakt. Wenn das Grillgut die obere Grillplatte
nicht erreicht, so kann die Höhe der oberen
Grillplatte nach Bedarf eingestellt werden.
Diese Position eignet sich zur Zubereitung von
Sandwichs, Toast, Pizza, Panini, Hamburgern,
Steaks und anderen Nahrungsmitteln, welche
hohe Temperaturen von oben und von unten
benötigen.
Die Höhe der oberen Grillplatte kann wie folgt
eingestellt werden:
1Lösen Sie die Transportsicherung Kan bei-
den Seiten und heben mit dem Gerätegriff P
die obere Grillplatte etwas an.
2Schieben Sie den Hebel der Höhenverstellung
Mnach hinten oder vorne, um den Abstand
der oberen Grillplatte einzustellen.
0 bedeutet die niedrigste
Position. Die Platten berüh-
ren sich.
4 bedeutet größter Ab-
stand.
Tischgrill–Position
In dieser Position kann der Grill aufgeklappt
werden und bietet so zwei große Grillbereiche.
Diese Position eignet sich zur Zubereitung von
Würsten, Steaks, Fisch, Gemüse und Früchten.
1Lösen Sie die Transportsicherung Kan bei-
den Seiten.
2Heben Sie mit dem Gerätegriff Pdie obere
Grillplatte an (ca. 90°), stellen Sie sicher,
dass die Arretierung Nfür die obere Grillplat-
te eingerastet ist.
3Ziehen Sie die Entriegelung Anach oben
(Pfeilrichtung) und legen die obere Grillplatte
nach hinten ab.

4Drehen Sie den schwenkbaren Gerätefuß L
in die Tischgrill- Position, um das Ablaufen von
Fett und zu vereinfachen. Wenn Sie
den
Kontaktgrill in der „geschlossenen Funktion“
verwenden, drehen Sie den schwenkbaren
Gerätefuß zurück in seine Ausgangsposition.
Vorbereiten
1Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel Bvollständig von
der Kabelaufwicklung Han der Unterseite des
Kontaktgrills ab und legen Sie es aus.
2Lösen Sie die Transportsicherung Kan bei-
den Seiten, indem Sie sie nach oben ziehen
und sie dann nach unten klappen.
3Öffnen Sie den Kontaktgrill mit dem Geräte-
griff P.
4Wählen Sie eine Grillposition aus (Siehe
Abschnitt „Grillpositionen“).
5Je nach Grillposition, platzieren Sie oder
beide Qunter der Fett-
Ablaufrinne I.
6Stecken Sie den Netzstecker Bin eine Steck-
dose.
Hinweise
■Wenn Sie das Gerät an die Stromversorgung
anschließen, muss sich der Ein-/Ausschalter
I/0 Ein der Position 0 befinden.
■Um zu verhindern, dass Nahrungsmittel an
den Grillplatten Janhaften, geben Sie einige
Tropfen Speiseöl auf die Platten und verteilen
Sie sie mit einem Pinsel oder Tuch. Seien Sie
vorsichtig, die Platten können sehr heiß sein.

Hinweise
■Bevor Sie Nahrungsmittel auf den Grill legen,
lassen Sie den Grill einige Minuten vorheizen.
■Platzieren Sie die Nahrungsmittel für beste
Ergebnisse in der Mitte der Grillplatten.
■Die Grillzeit hängt von der Art und Dicke
der Speisen und von Ihrem persönlichen
Geschmack ab.
1 Legen Sie die Nahrungsmittel in die Mitte der
unteren Grillplatte. Benutzen Sie den Gerätegriff
P, um den Kontaktgrill zu öffnen und zu
schließen (für die geschlossene Position) oder
verteilen Sie die Nahrungsmittel auf beiden
Grillplatten (Tischgrill- Position).
2 Wählen Sie mit dem Schalter Fwelche
Platte(n) Sie benötigen:

3 Schalten Sie den Kontaktgrill mit dem Ein-/
Ausschalter I/0 Eein (Position I).
‒ Der Ein-/Ausschalter I/0 Ewird beleuchtet
und die Grillplatten heizen sich auf.
4 Stellen Sie die Grilltemperatur mit dem Tem-
peraturregler Dein.
Hinweise
■Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler Dganz
nach links für die niedrigste Temperatur, ganz
nach rechts für die höchste Temperatur.
■Die Temperatur- Kontrollanzeige Cleuchtet,
wenn die eingestellte Temperatur erreicht ist.
Sinkt die Temperatur unter dem gewählten
Bereich, erlischt sie.
5 Schalten Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter I/0 E
in die Position 0, wenn der Grillvorgang
beenden ist und ziehen Sie den Netzstecker
Bvon der Steckdose.
6 Entnehmen Sie das Grillgut vom Kontaktgrill.
Achtung
■Seien Sie sehr vorsichtig, wenn Sie die Spei-
sen aus dem Gerät herausnehmen, da die
Metallteile des Kontaktgrilles und auch die
Speisen sehr heiß werden können.
■Benutzen Sie Hilfsmittel aus Holz oder
geeignetem Kunststoff, um die Speisen zu
wenden oder vom Kontaktgrill zu entnehmen.
Metallgegenstände können einen Kurzschluss
verursachen oder zu einem Stromschlag
führen sowie die Oberflächen der Grillplatten
beschädigen. Beschädigen Sie weder Heiz-
elemente noch Mechanik.
7 Lassen Sie den Kontaktgrill vollständig aus-
kühlen.
8 Reinigen Sie den Kontaktgrill nach jeder
Benutzung. (siehe Abschnitt „Reinigung und
Pflege“).
Tipps und Tricks
■Würste können beim Grillen platzen und zu
Verletzungen und Verschmutzungen führen.
Stechen Sie die Würste deshalb an oder
schneiden Sie sie etwas ein, bevor Sie sie auf
den Grill legen.
■Frisches Fleisch liefert bessere Ergebnisse als
gefrorenes oder aufgetautes Fleisch.
■Das Grillfleisch sollte nicht zu dick sein.

Grillplatten abnehmen und
einsetzen
Achtung
■Bevor Sie die Grillplatten Jhandhaben,
stellen Sie sicher, dass der Kontaktgrill
vollständig abgekühlt ist. Berühren Sie die
Grillplatten niemals, wenn sie heiß sind.
1 Schalten Sie den Kontaktgrill aus, trennen Sie
ihn von der Stromversorgung und lassen Sie
ihn vollständig abkühlen.
2 Entfernen Sie zunächst Fett, Öl und Saft mit
einem Papiertuch von den Grillplatten.
3 Drücken Sie die Entriegelung Gnach unten
und halten Sie die Grillplatte nach oben.
Befolgen Sie die gleichen Schritte für die
obere und die untere Grillplatte. Berühren Sie
die Heizspulen unter den Grillplatten nach
dem Entfernen der Grillplatten nicht.
4 Zum Einsetzen der Grillplatten diese in die
Halterung Oschieben und nach unten/oben
drücken, bis sie einrasten.
Reinigung und Pflege
Achtung
■niemals Benzin, Lösungsmittel, harte Bürsten
■Die Grillplatten sind beschichtet. Beschädigen
Sie sie nicht mit harten Werkzeugen. Benutzen
Sie nur Hilfsmittel aus Holz oder geeignetem
Kunststoff und weiche Tücher.
■Tauchen Sie Gerät und Netzkabel nicht in
Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten.
1 Schalten Sie das Gerät aus und ziehen Sie
den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
2 Lassen Sie das Gerät vollständig abkühlen.
3 Benutzen Sie ein feuchtes Tuch und etwas
milden Reiniger, um das Gehäuse zu reinigen.
Trocknen Sie das Gehäuse sorgfältig.
4 Die Grillplatten Jund die
Qkönnen mit Wasser und etwas mildem
Reinigungsmittel gereinigt werden.
Hinweise
■Benutzen Sie nur einen Schwamm oder
ein weiches Tuch, um die Grillplatten zu
reinigen, damit die Antihaftbeschichtung nicht
beschädigt wird.
■Um am Grill haftende Speisen zu entfernen,
lassen Sie die Grillplatten für etwa 5 Minuten
in Spülmittel und Wasser einweichen.
■Reinigen Sie Grillplatten und
nicht in der Geschirrspülmaschine.
■Bevor Sie das Gerät nach der Reinigung
benutzen oder lagern, trocknen Sie alle Teile
vorsichtig mit einem weichen Tuch.
Lagerung
Wenn Sie längere Zeit nicht
benutzen möchten, stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät
von der Stromversorgung getrennt und vollständig
trocken ist.
Lagern Sie das Gerät an einem kühlen,
trockenen Ort.
1 Schließen Sie den Kontaktgrill und lassen
beide Transportsicherungen Küber den
Gerätegriff einschnappen. Der Kontaktgrill
kann jetzt aufrecht abgestellt werden.
2 Eine Kabelaufwicklung Hbefindet sich an
der Unterseite des Grills. Wickeln Sie das
Netzkabel um die angebrachten Haken.

Stellen Sie sicher, dass sich das Gerät immer

OPERATION _______________________________
Before first use
1Remove all packaging and sticker materials
and dispose them according to the applicable
legal regulation.
2Before using of the appliance for first time,
clean the appliance (See the “Cleaning and
care” section).
3Make sure that the appliance is sitting in an
upright position and on a stable, flat, clean,
dry and non-slip surface.
Caution
■When using for the first time, smoke can
develop due to production residues. However,
this does not mean the appliance is defective.
The first time you turn it on, use the appliance
without food. Ensure for proper room
ventilation.
Grilling positions
Closed position
The closed position is suited for grilling at high
temperatures. The upper and lower grill plates come
into contact with food. If the food does not come into
contact with the upper grill plate, then the height of
the upper grill plate can be adjusted as needed. This
position is suitable for preparing sandwiches, toast,
pizza, panini, hamburger, steaks and other foods
which require high upper and lower temperatures.

OPERATION _______________________________
The height of the upper grill plate can be
adjusted as follows:
1Release the transport lock Kon both sides
and open the grill halfway.
2Push the handle of the height adjustment
mechanism Mto the left or right in order to
determine the height.

0 indicates the lowest
position. The plates touch
each other.
4 indicates the highest
position.
Table grill position
In this position, the grill can be folded out and
thus offers two large grilling areas. This position
is suitable for preparing sausages, steaks, fish,
vegetables and fruit.
1Release the transport lock Kon both sides.
2Pull the handle Pabout ¾ of the way up
and hold it in this position. Make sure that the
arrestor for the upper grill plate Nis in the
locked position.
3Push the unlocking hinge Ain the direction of
the arrow and guide the upper half of the grill
downwards.
4Turn the adjustable stand Lto the table
grill position in order to simplify drainage
of grease and juice. For the closed position,
turn the adjustable stand back in the initial
position.
Preparation
1Completely unwind the power cord Bfrom
the cord winding device Hon the bottom of
the contact grill and lay it out.
2Unlock the transport lock Kon both sides by
pulling them upwards and then folding them
down.
3Open the contact grill with the handle P.
4Select a grilling position (See the “Grilling
positions” section).
5Depending on the grilling position, position
one or both grease drip trays Q, under the
grease drainage opening I.
6Connect the power plug Binto the wall
socket.
Notes
■When connecting to the power supply the
on/off switch I/0 Emust be set in position 0.
■To prevent foods from sticking to the grill
plates Jput a few drops of cooking oil on
the plates and spread it with a brush or cloth.
Be careful, the plates can be very hot.

Grilling
Notes
■Before you place food on the grill, let the grill
preheat for a few minutes.
■For optimal grilling results, place the food in
the middle of the grill plates.
■The grilling time depends on the type of food,
the thickness and your individual taste.
1 Lay the food in the middle of the lower grill
plate. Use the handle Pto open and close
the grill (for closed position) or distribute the
food on both grill plates (table grill position).
2 Press upper/lower switch for grill plate F.
The switch settings can be adjusted as

Notes
■Turn the temperature control Dall the way to
the left for lowest temperature, all the way to
the right for highest temperature.
■The temperature control indicator C
illuminates when the adjusted temperature has
been reached. In other cases, the temperature
control indicator goes off.
5 Switch the On/Off switch I/0 Eto the 0
position when you want to stop the process
and disconnect the power plug Bout of wall
socket.
6 Take out the food from the grill.
Caution
■Be very careful when taking the food out
of the appliance as the metal parts of the
appliance also the food can become very
hot.
■Use tools made of wood or suitable plastic
to turn the food over or to take it off the grill.
Metal objects could cause short circuits or
electric shock. Do not damage the heating
elements and mechanics.
7 Let the grill cool down completely.
8 Clean the grill after each use to prevent
bacterial growth and to keep the grill in good
condition (See "Cleaning and care” section).
Hints and tips
■Sausages could burst during grilling and can
lead to injuries and cause a mess. Therefore
poke sausages or cut them a little before
putting them on the grill.
■Fresh meat produces better results than frozen
or thawed out meat.
■It is important that the grilling meat is not too
thick.

Taking off and putting on the grill
plates
Caution
■Prior to handling the grill plates J, make sure
that the grill has completely cooled down.
Never touch the grill plates when they are hot.
1 Turn the grill off, disconnect the power plug
and let the grill cool down completely.
2 First remove the grease, oil and juice with
paper towel.
3 Push the plate release Gdown and hold
the plate up. Follow the same steps for both
the upper and lower plates. Do not touch
the heating coils underneath the plates after
removing the plates.
4 To put on the grill plates, set them from the
rear into the plate latches O. Make sure that
the plates click into place.
Cleaning and care
Caution
■Never use petrol, solvents or abrasive
cleaners, metal objects or hard brushes to
clean the appliance.
■The grill plates are coated. Do not damage
the plates by using hard tools. Use tools made
of wood or suitable plastic and soft clothes
only.
■Never put the appliance or power cord in
water or any other liquid.
1 Turn the appliance off and disconnect it from
wall socket.
2 Let the appliance cool down completely.
3 Use a damp soft cloth and a small mild
cleanser to clean the exterior of the
appliance. Dry the exterior of the appliance
thoroughly.
4 The grill plates Jand the grease drip tray Q
can be cleaned with water and a small mild
cleanser.
Notes
■Only use a sponge or a soft cloth to clean the
grill plates so the non-stick coating does not
get damaged.
■To remove food stuck to the grill, let the grill
plates soak in dish soap and water for about
5 minutes.
■Do not clean grill plates and the grease drip
tray in the dishwasher.
■Before using the appliance after cleaning
or storing, dry all parts carefully using a soft
towel.
Storage
1There is a cord winding device Hon the
bottom of the grill. Wind the power cord
around the mounted hooks.
2 Close the grill and the transport lock Kby
pulling them up and hanging them on the
handle. To store it in an upright position, close
the transport lock. Now the grill can be set on
its feet in an upright position.
If you do not plan to use the appliance for a
long period of time, please store it carefully.
Make sure that the appliance is unplugged
and completely dry.
Do not wrap the power cord around the
appliance. Store it in a cool, dry place.
Make sure the appliance is always kept out
of the reach of children.
