Safety Information
WARNING:
□ Risk of fire/electric shock. If not qualified, consult an electrician
□ Disconnect power at fuse or circuit breaker before installing or servicing
CAUTION:
□ Connect fixture to a 120-volt, 60Hz power source. (Any other connection voids warranty.)
□ Fixture should be installed by persons with experience in household wiring or by a qualified electrician. The
electrical system and the method of electrically connecting this fixture to it must be in accordance with the
National Electrical Code and local building codes.
□ Suitable for wall mount or eave mounting onto recessed or mounted electrical boxes rated for wet locations.
Not suitable for ground mount installation.
□ DO NOT remove the protective LED lens.
□ DO NOT look directly at lighted LEDs for any length of time.
□ DO NOT leave bare wires exposed outside the wall canopy enclosure.
□ For proper operation and protection against damage, the motion sensor head adjustment knobs must be
facing the ground.
□ DO NOT mount below 5 feet.

□ Disassembling your fixture will void the warranty.
□ Your fixture is prewired and preassembled for easy installation.
Pre-Installation
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and
hardware contents. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.
Estimated Assembly Time: 30~45 minutes.
Select the installation location carefully. Do not install in areas having pedestrian or motorized traffic, pools or bodies
of water, or trees/bushes that move in the wind. All of these may trigger the motion sensor security light and may be

disruptive to the intended operation of the light. Do not install near sources of light. The other light sources can fool
the dusk to dawn sensor into thinking it is daylight.

Installation
1. Choosing the mounting style
□ This fixture is suitable for wall mount or eave
mounting only. Not suitable for ground mount
installation.
WARNING: Before beginning installation turn
the power off at the circuit breaker or fuse.
CAUTION: For best performance, mount the
fixture about 8ft (2.4m) above the ground.
Notice: Do not connect this light fixture to a
dimmer switch or timer

2. Installing the mounting strap
□
Install the mounting strap (DD) to the outlet box
with the stamped word “Front” facing away from
the outlet box, using either two mounting screws
(BB) or (CC) that best fit your junction box holes.
□
Remove the protective paper barrier from the
adhesive face of the gasket (AA). Trace the supply
wires through the openings in the gasket and
adhere the gasket to the mounting strap and outer
edge of the electrical box.

Wiring the Fixture
□
Connect the house ground wire and the fixture
ground wire (yellow/green) using the wire nuts
(EE).
□
Connect the fixture black wire to the house black
wire and fixture white wire to the house white wire
using wire nuts (EE) provided.
□
Carefully tuck the wires back into the electrical
box.

Mounting the Fixture
□
Put O Ring (GG) on fixture mounting screw (FF).
Attach the fixture to the mounting strap (DD) using
fixture mounting screw (FF) provided. Be sure no
loose wires remain sticking out from underneath
the cover plate.

Operation
1.
Testing the motion sensor:
□Slide the switch to “Test”
□Turn on the power to fixture. Allow fixture to
warm up approximately 40 seconds before
testing. (Light may come on and off during the
warm-up period.)
□Aim sensor head toward desired detection area.
The light will turn on when motion is detected,
and will turn off after 5 seconds.
2. Adjusting the Shut-off delay:
□Place the slide switch on the “1’ 5’ 10’ ”
position. At dusk, the motion sensor is activated.
The light will turn on when motion is detected,
and stay on as long as the motion is continuing.
When the motion stops, the light will remain on
for the predetermined time set (1min- 10min),
then the light will turn off automatically.
3. Adjusting the sensitivity switch
□To increase sensitivity, slide the knob clockwise.
To decrease sensitivity, slide the knob
counterclockwise.
□The sensitivity may be adjusted from a minimum
of 10ft. to a maximum of 70ft detection range.
4. Adjusting the Lux (dusk to
dawn) switch
□The lux may be adjusted from 3Lux to 100Lux;
□The motion sensor (photocell) will be activated
when Lux setting is above the day light brightness.
The motion sensor will be deactivated when Lux
setting is below the actual outdoor brightness.
□To increase Lux, slide the knob clockwise. To
decrease Lux, slide the knob counterclockwise.

Troubleshooting

The light will
not come on.
□ The light switch is turned off.
□ The fuse is blown or the circuit breaker is
turned off.
□ Lux setting is below the outdoor brightness
□ The circuit wiring is incorrect (if this is a
new installation)
□ The motion sensor is aimed in the wrong
direction
□ Turn the light switch on
□ Replace the fuse or turn the circuit
breaker on.
□ Increase the lux setting
□ Verify the wiring is correct.
□ Re-aim the motion sensor to cover the
desired area.
The light comes
on during the
day.
□ The switch is on “TEST” position.
□ Lux setting is above the location brightness
□ Set the switch to either 1’, 5’,10’
position
□ Decrease the lux setting
The lights flash
on and off.
□ Heat or light from the bulbs may be turning the
motion sensor on and off
□ Heat is being reflected from other objects and
may be turning the motion sensor on and off
□ Reposition the lamp heads away from
the motion sensor
□ Decrease the sensitivity setting or
reposition the motion sensor
The lights stay
on continuously.
□ The motion sensor may be picking up a heat
source, such as an air conditioner, dryer vent,
or brightly painted, heat-reflective surface.
□ The light fixture is wired through a dimmer or
timer
□ Decrease the sensitivity setting or
reposition the motion sensor.
□ Do not use a dimmer or timer to control
the light fixture
The light comes
on for no
apparent reason
□ The motion sensor maybe sensing small
animals or automobile traffic.
□ The sensitivity may be set too high
□ The light fixture is wired through a dimmer or
timer
□ Reposition the motion sensor.
□ Reduce the sensitivity
□ Do not use a dimmer or timer to control
the light fixture

5-Year Limited Warranty
This GT-Lite Lighting fixture carries a limited warranty against defects in material or workmanship. If the GT-Lite
Lighting product fails at any time within five (5) years after the original date of sale due to defects in material or
workmanship, return the product to GT-Lite with the original sales receipt. At its discretion, GT-Lite Lighting will
replace the defective fixture with the same or similar fixture or issue a refund. This warranty and any implied warranty
(including but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) does not cover
glass globes, light bulbs and other expendable items. This warranty excludes coverage of finish or color against
tarnishing, flaking, and discoloration.
If the original purchaser ceases to own the GT-Lite Lighting product this warranty and any implied warranty will be
void.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse, including but not limited to improper installation,
improper usage, accident, negligence, unauthorized repair, unauthorized modifications, or unauthorized maintenance
of the fixture. This warranty does not include reimbursement for inconvenience, installation, setup time, returned
shipping charges or defects, losses, labor, injuries to personal property.
This warranty gives the consumer specific legal rights, and the consumer may have other rights which vary from
state to state. The seller’s employees are not qualified to advice on the use of the fixture. Any oral representations
made will not be binding on seller or its employees.
