Understanding your Electric Grill
1. Large Heat Proof Handle
The handle is made from cool
touch plastic to ensure your
safety.
2. Indicator Lights
The indicator lights tell you
when the cooking plates are
hot enough to begin using.
3. 2 Non-Stick Cooking Plates
The dual cooking surfaces are
made from die cast aluminium
and allows for cooking time to
be halved by cooking both sides
at once.
4. Drip Tray
The bottom cooking plate is
angled to ensure that the fats
expelled during cooking are
drained and then caught in the
drip tray. This contributes to a
healthier, tastier meal.
5. Floating Hinge
Ensures that all foods are
cooking on both sides
regardless of the size of the
food to be cooked.
6. Non-Slip Feet
The non-slip feet add to the
Grills overall stability.

Before Using for the First Time
1) Ensure all packaging, labels and accessories have been removed from the unit
2) Position the Electric Grill in a well-ventilated area, on a stable and level
surface. Ensure that the surface is heat resistant and/or place the Grill on a
heatproof mat. Ensure that flammable materials and curtains are not in the
vicinity of the Electric Grill.
3) Thoroughly clean both cooking plates using a soft damp cloth and wipe dry
with a towel.
4) Place the drip tray under the front lip of the bottom grill plate to ensure all fat
that is expelled from the food drains into the drip tray.
5) It is recommended that you lightly wipe the cooking plates with cooking oil
when the unit is heated for the first time. This will help cure and protect the
nonstick cooking plates.
6) When connecting the Electric Grill to the power outlet, ensure that the
Electric Grill is closed. The Power indicator light will illuminate red to let you
know that the unit is switched on. The ready indicator light will illuminate
green when the temperature is ready. The ready indicator light will turn off
and on as the thermostat regulates the temperature.
7) Before using for the first time, turn the Grill on for approximately 10 minutes
with the lid closed. Turn the Grill off, allow it to cool and then wipe it over
with a damp cloth. Your Electric Grill is now ready for general use.
Cooking Tips
1) Cooking times will vary depending on the type, thickness and volume of foods.
Increase times accordingly.
2) Do not cook frozen food and do not attempt to defrost frozen food on the
grill. All food must be completely defrosted before cooking.

5
Using your Electric Grill
1) Place the grill on a heat proof, flat surface away from anything flammable.
2) Place the drip tray under the front lip of the bottom grill plate to ensure all fat
that is expelled from the food drains into the drip tray.
3) Connect your Electric Grill to the power outlet. Ensure that the Grill is closed.
The Power indicator light will illuminate red.
8) The Ready indicator light will illuminate green when the Electric Grill has
reached the correct cooking temperature. NOTE: The ready indicator light will
turn off and on as the thermostat regulates the temperature.
4) Open the grill by lifting the cool touch handle of the top grilling plate.
5) Using tongs or a spatula, place the food to be cooked on the bottom plate and
lower the top plate (never use metal utensils to add food to the Grill as they
will scratch the non-stick surface). The floating hinge design and the weight of
the plate will automatically adjust to the thickness of the items to be cooked,
and will gradually and evenly press the food. Food that is ideal for this grill are
burgers, boneless pieces of meat, thin cuts of meat and/or vegetables
6) The cooking time will depend on the type of food you are cooking and its
thickness. Cook food to requirements or your liking. You can check the
cooking progress by lifting the top plate by its cool touch handle. NOTE: Most
parts of the Grill will be HOT during the cooking process. Do not touch any
part of the Grill other than the handle, until the entire Grill is completely cool.
7) When the food has finished cooking, raise the top plate by lifting the handle
and remove the food with a plastic, wooden or silicone spatula or tongs.
Never use metal utensils as they can scratch the non-stick surface.

Cleaning your Electric Grill
1. Before cleaning, unplug the unit and allow it to cool.
2. Never place the unit in water or under running water (or any other liquid). DO
NOT ALLOW ANY WATER, OR OTHER LIQUID, TO ENTER THE UNIT.
3. To clean the outside of the Electric Grill, use a damp cloth and dry carefully
with a soft dry cloth.
4. To clean the plates, use a sponge that has been dampened in a weak solution
of dishwashing detergent and water. Wipe clean with sponge or a cloth
dampened in water only and dry carefully.
5. If you experience stubborn build up on the plates use a plastic scraper or
brush to remove.
6. Never use a scouring pad, steel wool, cleaning powder, solvents or abrasives
as this may scratch or ruin the non-stick surface.
7. If you are cleaning the unit whilst open, ensure you steady the top plate by
holding the handle.
8. Wash the drip tray in warm, soapy water or place in the top rack of the
dishwasher.
