0. Intended use
This manual is for the users who operate the device for the rst time.
The manual provides information on the detailed instructions, precaution, troubleshooting
and maintenance care.
Please read this entire manual to fully understand the safe and eective use of this device.
Keep this manual nearby for future reference.
HyperCOOL is eective for fast freeze drying of any samples.
Freeze-drying is used for sample preparations and for storage of biological and pharmaceuticals
material.
The freeze dried sample is unchanged, which is easy to long term time storage.
So freeze-drying system can be used to the elds of medicine, chemistry and biological science, etc.

The labels on the device represent safety instructions and directions.

1. Safety Precautions
Before using the device, please read this operation manual to ensure correct usage. Incorrect
handling of the device may possibly result in personal injury or physical damage on the
device or its accessories.
1. ALWAYS locate the device on a at, rigid and stable place capable of withstanding the
weight of the device and its operation.
2. ALWAYS make a safety zone of 30 cm around the device to indicate that neither
hazardous materials nor persons should be permitted within the area during operation.
▶ ALWAYS position the device with enough space on each side of device to ensure
proper air circulation.
3. Connect the device to voltage sources, which correspond to the electrical requirements on
the label attached to the device.
4. Only use accessories manufactured by GYROZEN.
GYROZEN does not guarantee any problems occurred by using incompatible accessories.
5. Remove any contaminants inside the chamber before operating the device.
6. Should not use ammable, toxic, radioactive, explosive or corrosive materials.
7. The containers should be kept level while drying the samples in them.
8. Any kind of device repair must be performed only by GYROZEN authorized service
engineers.
9. A proper disinfection procedure should be carried out before delivering the device to
service engineer.
10. Maintain all the accessories dry and clean to keep the best condition and to increase the
lifespan.
11. Avoid exposing the device to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or moisture.
12. Keep the accessories and tray clean dry before operation.
13. Use sockets with a protective earth conductor and correct mains cable.
14. Ventilate the room properly when operating the device.

3.2 Switching On the Device
3. Installation
3.1 Wheel Lock
1. Connect the AC power cord to the power socket on the backside of the device and put the
plug into a power outlet.
▶ Connect the device to voltage sources, which correspond to the electrical requirements on
the label attached to the device.
2. Switch the device on by pressing the mains switch on the right side of the device.
1. Put the device on a at place.
2. Make sure the device is in parallel with the oor.
3. Turn the lever of the stopper to the right to lock the wheel.
4. Make sure the wheels keep the device from moving.

4.1 Key Functions of Control Panel
[MODE]
Setting the 'Sound volume'
[DEFROST]
Chamber defrosting by hot gas injection.
▶ DEFROST lamp lights up : Defrost activated.
[VACUUM]
Turning on/o the vacuum pump.
▶ VACUUM lamp lights up: Pump activated.
[TIME]
Setting the 'Time'
▶ Set H(hours):M(minutes) using the
control buttons.
▲(DEFROST:up) / ▼(VACUUM:down))

[AWO LED]
Lamp for checking the temperature range in the chamber.

4.2 Performance Properties
4.3 LCD Display
1. The compressors automatically operate when power is connected.
▶ HC8080 has two compressors.
- #1 Compressor: Operates after 5 seconds when power is connected.
- #2 Compressor: Operates after 6 minutes when power is connected.
2. Displays the current temperature on the control pannel.
▶ Can not set the 'Temperature'.
Temperature: Displays the current
temperature. (℃)
Time: Displays the operating time (H:M)
▶ The range of time displayed is
999 hours and 59 minutes.

4.4 Defrost
Defrost function warms the wall of the condenser and facilitates
the release and easy removal of the “ice-plug”.
1. Press the DEFROST button to activate defrosting function.
▶ When the DEFROST button is pressed, vacuum is released automatically.
▶ Open the drain valve to remove the water melted from the chamber ice.
▶ The residual water should be removed before starting new process.
Turn the drain valve counterclockwise,
to remove it completely from the drain pipe.

4.5 Vacuum
VACUUM function is to turn on or o the vacuum pump.
- VACCUM button is pressed when in a vacuum. : Release a vacuum.
- VACUUM button is pressed when not in a vacuum: Make a vacuum.
1. Press VACUUM button to make a
vacuum on the inside of the chamber.
2. When the pump is operating, it turns o by pressing
the VACUUM button.
▶ Allows air into the chamber by opening the vacuum
release valve on the backside.

▶ The vacuum release can be adjusted by turning the
release valve.
(1) Vacuum: Tightened the valve by turning clockwise
(2) Vacuum release: Loosened the valve by turning
counterclockwise
▶ VACUUM led lamp turns on when the
pump starts to operate.

1. Press the TIME button.
2. To set in minutes press the DEFROST(up)
or VACUUM (down) button until the desired
time(minutes) is displayed.
3. Press the TIME button to set in hours.
And press the DEFROST(up) or VACUUM (down) button until the desired time(hours) is
displayed.
▶ At continuous running mode (0:00), time counts up from (0:00).
▶ When the DEFROST(up) button is kept pressed, ‘minutes’ increases till it reaches 59 minutes.
‘hours’ follows afterwards and goes up acceleratedly.
▶ The TIME setting can be canceled by pressing KEYLOCK button.
▶ The factory default setting is continuous running mode (0:00).
4. Press the TIME button to leave 'Time' setup mode.
5. When the operation is completed, "End" message comes up with beep sound.
▶ Press any button (MODE,DEFROST,VACUUM or TIME) to silence the beep sound.

Operating time can be set up to 999 hours and 59 minutes, or ‘continuous running’ is also
available.

The MODE button is available to adjust the sound volume.
Heating plate function is optional.
Please contact GYROZEN for more information.

the Sound Volume.

5.3 Removing Dirt on the Condenser
1. Clean the outside of the device with a dry soft cloth.
If necessary, dip the cloth in neutral detergent and clean any contaminants.
Keep it completely dry after cleaning.
2. Do not use any volatile chemicals such as alcohol, benzene, benzole, and thinner, etc.
3. Be careful not to make scratches on the surface of the device.
▶ Scratches may cause corrosion on the surface of the device.
▶ Rusted parts should be cleaned with neutral detergents and kept dry.
1. Keep dry inside the chamber after every use.
2. If the chamber is contaminated, clean contaminated area with a cloth dipped in neutral
detergent.
Dirt should be removed periodically to keep the best performance of the condenser.
The electric power should be OFF during the cleaning process.
1. Remove the ventilation slots by hands. 2. Remove dirt and dust from the condenser with
a soft brush.

6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Possible Problems
If any problems occur in the device, please check the following list before contact your local
GYROZEN partner or GYROZEN
▶ If signs of wear become visible (e.g., cracks, deformation, discoloration, peeling), these
parts must be replaced.

- Make sure the AC Power cord completely connects the device to the
mains outlet.
- Check the power switch is on. Refer to [3.2 Switching On the Device].
Vacuum failure - Make sure the silicon packing keeps the right position and normally seals
with no leak.

device indicated on the product label.

1. Comply with the instructions on the safety label and this manual.
2. Use genuine GYROZEN products and parts. The best performance can be
guaranteed only for the products approved by GYROZEN
The customer service may not be provided for using any unauthorized products.
3. The customer service may not be provided when the product is opened or disassembled
arbitrarily by users.
