•The washing machine is for indoor use only.
•Your machine must only be installed by a competent service engineer.
•Before operating the washing machine, you must remove the transit
bolts from the rear of the machine. If the bolts are not removed, they
may cause heavy vibration, noise and malfunction of the machine which
will invalidate the guarantee.
•Install your machine in a location that is well ventilated and preferably
has constant air circulation. The openings and ventilation points of the
appliance must not be obstructed by carpet.
•Make sure that the door of your Washing Machine is not restricted and
can be opened fully.

to those of the washing machine.

4www.haden.com
•Do not use a plug socket with a current rating that is lower than that of
the washing machine. Never remove the power plug with wet hands.
•To ensure your safety, the plug to the power cord must be inserted into
an earthed socket.
•Do not connect your Washing Machine to the mains electricity supply
using an extension lead.
•Make sure that the water supply and electrical supply are connected by
a qualified technician in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions and local safety regulations.
•Please check the machine before installation. Check the outer surface
of the machine once the packaging has been removed. Do not operate
the machine if it appears damaged.
•The necessary ambient temperature for operation of your Washing
Machine is between 10 - 25 °C.
•The washing machine should not be installed in a bathroom.
•Should the ambient temperature fall below 0 °C, hoses may split or the
electronic card may not operate correctly.
•Make sure hoses and cables do not cause a trip hazard.
•Before starting any cleaning or maintenance remove the plug from the
power socket.
•A washing machine with a single inlet valve can be connected only to a
cold-water supply. A washing machine with two inlet valves can be
connected to either a hot-water or a cold-water supply.

•Packaging materials may be dangerous to children. Keep all packaging
(plastic bags, foam etc.) away from children.
•Only use your machine for laundry that is labelled as suitable for
washing by the manufacturer.
•Before washing clothes for the first time, it is recommended that for
your first wash you select a hot 90˚C wash cycle (without laundry) and
half fill the detergent drawer with a suitable detergent. The washing
machine should be run for the full cycle with an empty drum.
•Flammable, explosive or toxic solvents must not be used. Substances
such as gasoline and alcohol must not be used as detergents. Select
only detergents suitable for machine washing, especially drum-based

•Remember to disconnect the water and power supply immediately after
the clothes are washed.
•Do not climb or sit on top of the machine.
•Do not lean against the door of the machine.
•Do not close the door with excessive force. If it is difficult to close the
door, reduce the amount of clothes in the drum or distribute them more
evenly.
•Never open the detergent drawer while the machine is running.
•In the event of a breakdown, unplug the machine from the mains supply
and turn the water supply off. Do not attempt to carry out any repairs.
Always contact an authorised service agent.

6www.haden.com
•Do not exceed the maximum load for the washing programme you
have chosen.
•Never force the door open when your Washing Machine is running.
•During manufacture your Washing Machine will under-go several
quality checks which may leave some water residue within the

Do not attempt to lengthen the drain hose.
When installing the outlet hose
over the sink, ensure that it is
tightly bound to the sink and
that the end is not underwater.
If the outlet hose is too long, do
not force it into the washing

Preparation
Preparing Laundry
Please read these operating instructions carefully to avoid damaging the
washing machine or your clothing.
1. Follow the instructions given in the care labels on the clothing.
Separate your laundry according to type (cotton, synthetic, sensitive,
wool etc.), washing temperature (cold, 30°, 40°, 60°, 90°) and the
degree of dirtiness (slightly stained, stained, highly stained).
2. Never wash coloured and white laundry together.
Dark textiles may contain excess dye and should be washed
separately several times.
3. Ensure that there are no metallic materials on your laundry or in
the pockets; if so, remove them.
CAUTION: Any malfunctions which occur due to foreign
materials damaging your machine are not covered by the
warranty.
4. Close zips and fasten any hooks and eyes.
5. Remove the metallic or plastic hooks of curtains or place them in a
washing net or bag.
6. Reverse textiles such as pants, knitwear, t-shirts and sweat
shirts.
7. Wash socks, handkerchiefs and other small items in a washing net.
Check the label
Take all items out of the
pockets
Knot long strips, close zips and
buttons

16 www.haden.com
Check colourfastness before washing
Use a white towel to apply a small amount of
liquid detergent to an unseen section of
clothing. If the clothing stains the towel, it is
not colourfast.
Please wash scarves and other non-colourfast
clothes separately.
To maximise the effectiveness of washing,
apply liquid detergent to stains on sleeves,
collars and pockets and rub gently with a brush before washing.
Please take washed clothes out of the machine in a timely manner, as
laundry which is left in the machine for a long time may smell and become
mouldy.
It is recommended that brassieres are washed
inside a pillowcase with their zips or buttons sealed
to ensure that their internal steel wires do not
damage the washing-machine drum.
Particularly delicate textiles (such as lace curtains
and jackets) and small articles (such as short socks,
handkerchiefs and ties) should be put into a string
bag for washing.
Heavy single items such as towels, jeans and bulky
jackets may cause an imbalance in the motion of
the drum.
Separate clothes with
different textures
Put small clothes into
pillowcases
Turn easy-pilling and
long pile fabrics inside

www.haden.com 17
It is recommended that two or more such items are washed together to
ensure that draining occurs smoothly.
Clean any dust, soil and pet hair from clothes before washing
Ensure that babies’ skin is protected
Baby articles (clothes, towels and other fabrics) should be washed
separately. Rinsing time should be increased to ensure thorough rinsing
and cleaning
Do not exceed the maximum load! See the washing programme table
for the maximum load for the programme you require.
Adding Detergent and Softener
•Add detergent into the appropriate dispenser
•Apply softener before the you start the washing cycle
•Apply detergent and softener according to the washing amount, soiling
level, the water hardness in your area and the manufacturers
instructions of these products.
•For slightly dirty clothes, put a small amount of detergent into

Softener

18 www.haden.com
•For excessively dirty clothes, put ¼ of the detergent to be used into
compartment I of the drawer and the remaining amount into
compartment II.
•Do not use the washing machine when the detergent drawer is
removed. It may cause a water leak or it may not work normally.
•If you forget to add detergent, you can drain the washing machine by
running a drain only programme. Then you can add detergent and start
the programme again. Detergent only reaches the drum when water
flushes through the detergent drawer.
•To prevent powder detergent staying in the drawer, dry the inside of
the drawer with a cloth. Make sure the powder isn’t lumpy when you
add it into the drawer.
•If the rinse cycle isn’t removing all the detergent from your wash, use
less detergent.
•Softener should not exceed the MAX level in the compartment.
•Wash out unused softener with a splash of water or a damp cloth after
the programme has finished.
•You can use liquid detergents in all programmes.
Dilute viscous fabric softener and fabric conditioner with water to
prevent blockage of the overflow. Maximum level is 40ml.
