1.1Introduction
DDS-3005 USB ArbitraryWaveformGeneratorhasonechannelof arbitrary
waveformoutput, 8Bitsoutput, synchronizedsignaloutputs, twochannelsof
Counter/Frequency Measurementinputs,8Bitsinputandexternaltriggerinput.
Usercan editthe waveformarbitrarilybythe mouseorchoosethe regular
waveformssuchasSine, Square,Tri-angle, Saw-tooth, TTL,WhiteNoise,
Gauss Noise, Trapezia, Exponent, AMand FM. The parameters, suchas
amplitude,frequency andoffset, arealsosettable. Thedataformat of
DDS-3005 USB iscompletelycompatiblewiththat ofTektronix; it candirectly
read thewaveformdatafilesproducedbytheTektronixoscilloscope or
Tektronixwaveformeditorsoftwareand redisplaythe waveform. DDS-3005
USB adoptsthe DDStechnologysothatit hasthe advantagesof high
frequencyaccuracy, high waveformresolution, high reliability,and wide
softwaresupport. It can be widelyused inthevariouskindsof electronics labs
and it offerscompleteinterfaceforsecond timedevelopment tobe jointlessly
inserted intootherauto-measuringsystems.
1.2Working Principle
The PCtransferthe waveformdatatothe memorizerof the signalgenerator
viathe USB bus, the IDcountercyclesandsend the period waveformdatato
the DACcircuits, the DDS(Direct DigitalSynthesized)circuit producesthe
corresponding DACrefreshingclock. The waveformofDACisoutputted
throughthe Cachemagnifier,LowPass Filter,and the Magnifier.The
frequencycountercan test theexternalfrequency.
