Important Safety Information
Precautions
1. This product is not a toy. Do
not allow children to play
with or near this item.
2. Use as intended only.
3. Do not abuse the cord. Never
use the cord for carrying, pulling
or unplugging the Humidier.

supply. Use of a GFCI reduces
the risk of electric shock.
5. Do not use without water
in the water tank. Distilled
water is recommended.
6. Do not add medication, fragrance
or oil to the water. It will cause
the machine to malfunction
and void the warranty.

Grounding
TO PREVENT
ELECTRIC SHOCK
AND DEATH FROM
INCORRECT GROUNDING
WIRE CONNECTION:
Check with a qualied
electrician if you are in doubt
as to whether the outlet is
properly grounded. Do not
modify the power cord plug
provided with the tool. Never
remove the grounding prong
from the plug. Do not use the
tool if the power cord or plug is
damaged. If damaged, have it
repaired by a service facility
before use. If the plug will not
t the outlet, have a proper
outlet installed by a
qualied electrician.
Double Insulated
Tools:
Tools with Two
Prong Plugs
Outlets for 2-Prong Plug
1. Tools marked “Double Insulated”
do not require grounding. They
have a special double insulation
system which satises OSHA
requirements and complies
with the applicable standards of
Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., the
Canadian Standard Association,
and the National Electrical Code.
2. Double insulated tools may be
used in either of the 120 volt outlets
shown in the preceding illustration.
(See Outlets for 2-Prong Plug.)
Extension Cords
1. Grounded tools require a three
wire extension cord. Double
Insulated tools can use either a
two or three wire extension cord.
2. As the distance from the supply
outlet increases, you must use
a heavier gauge extension
cord. Using extension cords
with inadequately sized wire
causes a serious drop in voltage,
resulting in loss of power
and possible tool damage.
(See Table A on page 4.)
3. The smaller the gauge number of
the wire, the greater the capacity of
the cord. For example, a 14 gauge
cord can carry a higher current than
a 16 gauge cord. (See Table A.)
4. When using more than one
extension cord to make up the
total length, make sure each cord
contains at least the minimum wire
size required. (See Table A.)
5. If you are using one extension
cord for more than one item, add
the nameplate amperes and use
the sum to determine the required
minimum cord size. (See Table A.)

Page 4 For technical questions, please call 1-800-444-3353. SKU 68758
6. If you are using an extension
cord outdoors, make sure it is
marked with the sufx “W-A”
(“W” in Canada) to indicate it is
acceptable for outdoor use.
7. Make sure the extension cord
is properly wired and in good
electrical condition. Always replace
a damaged extension cord or
have it repaired by a qualied
electrician before using it.
8. Protect the extension cords from
sharp objects, excessive heat, and
damp or wet areas.

or medication to the water. It will
cause the unit to malfunction.
Note: Distilled water is recommended.
3. Replace the ll cap and
turn clockwise to tighten.
Do not over tighten.
4. Set the Water Tank back in
place, making sure that the
Tank is correctly aligned with
the body of the Humidier.
5. Plug the unit into a 120V outlet.
6. Turn the Power Switch
clockwise to turn on the unit.
7. Adjust the mist intensity
by continuing to turn the
Power Switch clockwise.
8. Once the Water Tank is in place,
do not attempt to pick up or
move the Humidier. If you need
to move the Humidier, unplug
the unit and drain the water
from the base before moving.
9. Pay attention to the water
level, adding more water
when the level is low.
10. To eliminate excessive humidity,
especially in smaller rooms, leave
the room door open and adjust
the Mist Intensity Control.
Note: It is best to keep the humidity
level between 30 and 50 percent.
The comfort level of humidity will
vary from room to room and with
changing room conditions.
In cold weather, windows and walls
may fog from excessive indoor
humidity. Too much humidity in
the room may allow moisture to
accumulate on surfaces where
bacteria and fungi can grow.
Automatic Shut-off
The Humidier is equipped with
an automatic shut-off feature.
If the unit runs dry and the unit
becomes hot, the unit will stop
working. If this happens, turn off
and unplug the Humidier. Let
the unit cool down, then rell with
water and plug in to an outlet.
Turn on to resume operation.
Do not run the Humidier
without water in the reservoir.

Maintenance & Service
Procedures not specically
explained in this manual
must be performed only
by a qualied technician.
To prevent serious injury from
accidental operation:
Turn the Power Switch
off and unplug the unit
from its electrical outlet
before performing any
inspection, maintenance,
or cleaning procedures.
To prevent serious injury from
tool failure:
Do not use damaged
equipment. If abnormal noise
or vibration occurs, have
the problem corrected
before further use.
Cleaning, Maintenance,
and Lubrication
1. BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the
general condition of the Humidier.
Check for loose hardware,
misalignment of parts, cracked or
broken parts, damaged electrical
wiring, and any other condition
that may affect its safe operation.
2. AFTER USE, wipe surfaces
dry with a clean cloth.
3. WARNING! If the supply cord
of this Humidier is damaged,
it must be replaced only by a
qualied service technician.
Cleaning
Nebulizer
Sensor
Keep the Nebulizer and Water
Sensor free of mineral deposits.
To clean them, remove the Water
Tank, empty the Reservoir and
clean both areas with a soft brush
(not included). Do not scrape
the Nebulizer or Sensor. Do not
use metal tools to clean unit.
If the Water Tank is extremely dirty,
soak with a mild bleach and water
solution, then rinse and dry with a
soft cloth. Do not use detergent.
Do not leave water in the tank for
a long period of time as bacterial
growth may develop. Clean and
dry the unit after every use.
Storage
1. Save the box for
off-season storage.
2. Clean the tank, reservoir
and all parts thoroughly.
Dry before storage.
3. Leave the cap of the Water Tank
loose to prevent the cap and
gasket from sticking together and
to prolong the life of the gasket.

Note: If water is left in the unit during storage, it may harden and
leave deposits that may affect operation of the unit.
Troubleshooting
If the Humidier is not producing mist:
Problem Solution
Unit not plugged in. Turn the Power Switch off, and plug in if needed.
Turn the power switch back on to resume operation.
Unit not turned on. Turn on and adjust level.
No water in the Tank. If the Tank is empty, turn off and unplug the
unit. Let it cool down, then rell with water.
Plug in and turn on to resume operation.
Water level too high. If the water level is blocking the Mist Nozzle,
turn off and unplug the unit. Empty some of the
water out of the Tank. Then resume usage.
Water Tank not properly seated
onto the body of the unit.
If it is not seated properly, turn off and unplug
the unit. Adjust the Water Tank, then plug the
unit back in. Turn it on to resume operation.
